ASCoC - All Star Circuit of Champions
The Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing.
Formed in 1970 by Bud Miller, the series has largely been considered the first 'outlaw' Sprint Car organization of the modern era. After a 10 year stint as owner of the All Stars, Miller passed control of the series to Bert Emick in 1980; a reign that would continue through 2002. Guy Webb then purchased the series from Emick in the summer of 2002 and served as the series President for the next 12 years.
Motorsports entrepreneur Tony Stewart agreed to terms with Guy Webb to become the sole owner of the original winged sprint car tour in January of 2015. Stewart and his team look forward to building on the All Star Series impressive legacy by taking it to a new level of success and sustainability.

- Checkered Flag: Fan favorites Blaney, Thomas are big Sharon "Apple Fest" winners
Raceway Park held its two-day Attica Ambush Sept. 1-2. The weekend was highlighted by two shows for the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars.
- Eldora’s 4-Crown to determine $80,000 All Star Team Championship in closest battle in Series history
It has been a long road to the 2023 Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 team championship, but the battle is far from over, as two teams are still in the hunt for the $80,000 payday, which will be determined in Eldora Speedway's coveted 4-Crown Nationals on Saturday, September 23.
- Henry takes Fremont win and AFCS title; Ivy scores 305 victory and Weaver earns AFCS title; Miller tames trucks
FREMONT, Ohio - Cap Henry put an exclamation point on his second championship of All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group, leading all 30 laps for a $5,000 payday at Fremont Speedway Saturday, Sept. 9. The previous night the Republic, Ohio driver scored his second Attica Raceway Park 410 sprint title as he now closes the gap to possibly also win the Fremont Speedway division championship. Henry survived a late race caution Saturday on Baumann Auto Group Night to earn his fifth victory of the season at Fremont, his 10th overall feature win of 2023. It is his 17th career Fremont win. "Honestly this is incredible. I couldn't have imagined this when Jeff (Ward) and Gary (Griffith) agreed to hire us in the off-season. You always want to win races and that's what motivates me. We had a really good 2020 (won Attica and AFCS championships) and I just wanted to prove we could do that again. Zack and Gary and Chris and Chad and Jeff…so proud of everyone involved in this. To come out here and win this many races….it takes a really good team and I'm so proud of my guys. I'm so proud of our families. The wives and girlfriends give up something so that we can do this," said Henry beside his Jeff Ward Demolition, Elliott's Custom Trailers and Carts, Premier Planning Services, Tony Elliott Foundation, Primal Tee Shop, SCS Gear Box, Napa of Fremont backed No. 33W. John Ivy, a former 410, 305 and dirt truck champion at Fremont, has been knocking on the door as of late for a feature win. Ivy led all 25 laps of the Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprint A-main to claim his 61st career win at the track. It wasn't easy as Kasey Ziebold pressure Ivy in lapped traffic until a caution flew with just two laps to go. Ivy sits fifth on the track's all-time win list . "It's been a couple of years since we won here. This takes a whole bunch of weight off our backs. I still think I can do it but we haven't showed that the last few years so we figured we would take a step back and see if we could at least be competitive again and have some fun. We've been slowly picking away at it and getting consistent. Charlie has come on board and Andy has been doing a great job and my brother and Ronnie. They haven't given up on me so I can't give up on them," said Ivy beside his C&N Construction Supplies, Atkinson Farm, Pub 400, Fox Painting, Sonny's Machine & Welding, Kistler Racing Products, Level Performance, Rohr Total Lawn Care, Level Utilities, SC Atkinson Farms, MRE of Ohio, Welty Financial Services, Dave Story Equipment & Repair, Napa of Bryan, Minich Installations backed No. 49i. Paul Weaver seemed to have the NAPA of Bryan Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales locked up with 10 laps to go as he was running third. But, Weaver had a tire going down and his top wing collapsed but the Fremont, Ohio driver was able to hold on for a 20th place finish and edged Jamie Miller by a mere six points for his fourth straight AFCS championship. "The bolts fell out of the wing. I knew I had a tire going down but I didn't know about the wing. The harder I ran to try and keep air in the tire, the worst it got. This helps pay the bills at the end of the year. I have to thank Daniel and my wife, Bob Hampshire, Steve Brown and all my sponsors. If it wasn't for all of them I couldn't do this," said Weaver. Miller survived a last lap mechanical issue with his dirt truck to claim his third Burmeister Trophy Dirt Truck A-main of 2023. Miller now has 43 career wins at Fremont. "The thing broke on the last lap. I lost all my brakes and it didn't want to turn….don't know how I could win," said Miller of his Jamie Miller Trucking, Fostoria Mod Shop backed No. 4M. Fremont Speedway will be back in action Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15 and 16 for the Jim and Joanne Ford Classic featuring the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions. The dirt trucks will be in action as well on Friday and the 305 sprints will be on the racing card for Saturday. - Wise takes $12k All Star loot at Attica, Weaver earns 305 career win #70
ATTICA, Ohio - Zeb Wise started to establish himself as professional sprint car driver at Attica Raceway Park in April 2021. The then 18-year-old from Angola, Indiana scored his first ever 410 sprint win at the track. In the two years since, Wise has proven he can compete - and win - against the best of them as he drove the Rudeen Racing machine to a $12,000 victory Saturday, Sept. 2 - the richest Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 prize in Attica's history. The victory on All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Murphy Tractor and Equipment Night presented by Janet Holbrook is Wise's fifth total at the home of "Ohio's Finest Racing" four of which have been All Star victories. Wise now has 11 total All Star wins, seven of which have come in 2023! Early in the 40-lap feature it looked like it would be a Kerry Madsen weekend sweep as the Australian who picked up his first career Attica win Friday, took the early lead as Wise slipped to third behind two time series champion Tyler Courtney. A caution on lap 16 is what set the winning tone for Wise, earning a great restart to take second from Courtney, then sliding by Madsen in turn four just two circuits later. Courtney would eventually follow Wise by Madsen the following lap, and despite wave after wave of two and three wide lapped traffic, Wise held strong, leading Courtney, Madsen, Kyle Reinhardt, and Chris Windom to the final checkers. "I kind of knew the way my car felt early that it was going to be good late. There toward the end I started struggling. I did not know where to go. They were racing three wide in front of me. I just wanted to at least get by one that way I could get side by side with them that way it would be hard for Tyler to get by me," said Wise, driver of the Rayce Rudeen Foundation/Sundollar Restoration/TC Powersports/Hager Realty Services/Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales No. 26 sprint car. "I can't say enough about these guys. Last night we struggled a little bit. Tyler, Derek, Brandon…everyone back there did their job very well tonight and gave me one hell of a car. They really make my job easy. Hats off to all of the fans. I love being at Attica and we love racing here," added Wise. For the second straight night Courtney ended up runner-up in his Clauson/Marshall Racing No. 7BC. "We were just a little off there the second half of the race. Zeb did a hell of a job. He got by us on the restart and he could truck through one and two quite a bit better than everybody. I started catching him in traffic but then my lane got taken away down in three and four and I had to change my line in one and two. I felt like I was making up a little bit of ground and just couldn't quite get off the corners as well as him. My guys - Jake, Cameron and Luke - they but their tails and come out of here with two weekends is a good weekend," said "Sunshine" beside his NOS Energy Drink/ZMAX/Elliotts Custom Trailers and Cars backed machine. Madsen brought the Vermeer Motorsports No. 55 home in third. "I probably should have mixed my lines up there in one and two. I just kind of got too comfortable and stayed on the top there. I got passed by Zeb and Courtney and I probably could have utilized a lower line a little bit earlier. But it was a great weekend for Vermeer Motorsports and once again had a good race car," said "The Madman" beside his TK Concrete/Maxim Trucking/Logan Contractor Supply/Zip Bonds/Smoker's Choice Cigar Bar backed machine. Fremont, Ohio's Paul Weaver, six time and defending Fremont Fence and Guardrail 305 Sprint track champion, has had difficulties at Attica in 2023. He put it all together Saturday though, taking the lead on lap two and cruising to a nearly six second win in a non-stop 25 lap feature event. The victory is the second of the year for Weaver and Attica and he now has 70 career 305 sprint wins at the track. Coupled with his three 410 feature wins, Weaver has 73 total feature wins to lead all drivers in the track's history. It was Weaver's eighth total win in 2023 as he owns six victories at nearby Fremont Speedway. While Weaver drove away from the field, a spirited battle ensued behind him with Dustin Stroup eventually finishing second ahead of John Ivy, Bryan Sebetto and lap one leader Logan Riehl rounding out the top five. "The track was so good and fast I started getting stomach cramps and thought I was going to throw up in my helmet. I was just locked down and wide open around there. At the beginning of the year I had a kill switch go bad and it wouldn't let the motor rev up. I changed everything and in 32 years of racing I had never had a kill switch go bad. I also had some bad luck but seems to be going well now," said Weaver beside his Hampshire Racing Engines/Steve Brown's B&B Drain Service/M&L Excavating backed No. 1W. Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, Sept. 8 for the Mark Keegan Classic Season Championship Night with the Callie's Performance Products 410 Sprints, Dirt Nerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Models and the Fremont Fence 305 Sprints in action. There is a rain date for championship night of Friday, Sept. 22 if needed. - Kerry Madsen earns 1st Attica All Star win; Shiels romps to 4th straight late model victory
ATTICA, Ohio - Kerry Madsen held off a charging Kyle Reinhardt after a late race caution and drove to his first ever Attica Raceway Park feature win to kick off the Attica Ambush with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 on Morgan Stanley/Great Lakes Truck Centers Night presented by Janet Holbrook. While the final tally shows "The Mad Man" from St. Mary's New South Wales, Australia led all 35 laps for the $6,000 pay day, it certainly wasn't easy. Following a red flag for a Cap Henry tumble on lap 27, Neptune City, N.J. driver Kyle Reinhardt made a big charge to challenge Madsen. Reinhardt got beside Madsen on lap 30 but got sideways, allowing Madsen to get away and Tyler Courtney to take over the runner-up spot. Courtney closed the last three laps but ran out of time as Madsen went on to score his 12th career All Star win aboard the TK Concrete/Maxim Trucking/Logan Contractor Supply/Zip Bonds/Smoker's Choice Cigar Bar/Vermeer Motorsports #55. "It's kind of stressful leading a race like that. You're not sure what's quicker and what's not," Madsen stated. "Just hats off to my team. Clinton and Nate just give me a great race car. To win at Attica, you have to have a good race car, and that's what we had here tonight. Happy to get it done for everyone at Vermeer Motorsports. A tip of the hat to all of our progress. We've been quick and just haven't been able to put it together and tonight we were able to put it all together. Fast cars win races and once everyone gets on the same page and build some confidence all the breaks start happening." Courtney, a two time and defending All Star champion, and kept his great runs at Attica going. "Our car was pretty darn good there at the end. At the beginning of the race I just couldn't get going. That last long run I was able to get my wing back and see what I could go do. Big scheme of things going for another championship it was a good night," said Courtney beside his NOS Energy Drink/ZMAX/Elliotts Custom Trailers and Carts backed #7BC. For Reinhardt, the charge to challenge for the win gives him a ton of confidence heading into Saturday's $12,000 win Attica Ambush finale as he rounded out the podium. "I gave it all I had. Every time I got close to him…there was like two or three times I had a shot…the yellow would come out or I'd get crossed up. I can't thank Bryan Grove and all the guys enough for giving me the opportunity. I've struggled here the few times I've been here so this is a really good run for us," said Reinhardt beside his Canton Erectors/Starrett Service/Premier Pallet/Coors Banquet Beer/Capitol Renegade/Baker Transportation backed #45. Four time and defending UMP Late Model track champion Devin Shiels took the lead from Mike Bores on lap three and never looked back as he drove to his fourth straight Dirt Nerds Podcast A-main win at Attica. It's Shiels fifth overall win at Attica in 2023 and his 20th career victory at the track putting him in a tie for fourth on the division's all-time win list with Ryan Missler. "Four straight sounds pretty good, especially with the points and coming down to the end of the year. That track kind of threw us for a loop. We thought it was so dry when we got here but it had moisture underneath. We were pretty even….when we got to lapped cars it was hard to pass them," said Shiels beside his Magic Fountain Auto Wash, Rally's Hamburgers, Dundee Products, Banshee Graphics, Salenbein Trucking & Excavating, Dirt Nerds Podcast, Banshee Graphics backed #51. Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 2 with the All Star Circuit of Champions along with the Fremont Fence 305 sprints in action. - There's no place like Plymouth Dirt Track home for Arenz's first IRA 410 Sprint Car victory
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 5, 2023 - After finding success in every racing division he has competed in during his stellar 16-year career, especially at the track located closest to home, Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series rookie Travis Arenz of Sheboygan Falls, Wis. took full advantage of the familiar home track surroundings of The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. to collect his first career IRA Series and 410 Sprint Car division A-main victory in the Scott Semmelmann Memorial Saturday, July 1. With 28 IRA 410 Sprint Car competitors signed in, Arenz recorded the eighth fastest qualifying lap in 11.839 seconds. After starting second in the second eight-lap IRA heat race, Arenz finished second to earn a spot in the 30-lap Scott Semmelmann Memorial main event, as well as a berth in the IRA dash field. Arenz drew the fifth starting spot in the second IRA four-lap dash and used a low move in turn one on the opening lap to work underneath Mike Reinke into fourth. One lap later, the 2021 and 2022 Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car champion passed Todd Daun along the low line to assume third place in turn four, which is where he finished. Arenz started sixth in the 30-lap Scott Semmelmann Memorial IRA headliner before J.J. Hickle spun in turn four on the initial start, which moved the 2013 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing Outlaw Compact 4-Cylinder champion up to fourth on the complete restart. When the green flag fell, Arenz settled into third behind polesitter Caden Englehart in second and second starter Danny Schlafer of Sussex, who grabbed the initial lead. On lap 3, Arenz and Mike Reinke engaged in a spirited back and forth duel for third in the running order before Arenz stayed glued to the low and middle portions of the venerable third-mile clay oval to finally secure the spot on lap 5. After two caution flags on lap 12 for a spin involving Blake Nimee and another caution when Englehart hit the turn four wall on lap 16, Arenz advanced to the runner-up spot on the ensuing restart. After the restart, Arenz hounded the high-riding Schlafer relentlessly along the inside and middle grooves. After setting up a pass for several laps, Arenz ducked under Schlafer to seize the top spot in turn one on lap 19. Once out front, Arenz endured two more caution periods before securing his first career IRA 410 Sprint Car Series A-main victory and 37th overall career A-main victory at The Plymouth Dirt Track in four different divisions - Outlaw Compact 4-Cylinder, B Mod (Sport Mod), 360 Sprint Car and 410 Sprint Car. "I always look forward to racing at Plymouth because I have so many laps on the track and, for the most part, I know what to expect," Arenz said. "Because of that, I am able to work more on my driving and being more consistent. "Throughout the feature, I knew I needed to be patient, consistent and hit my marks," he said. "After I found a line through the middle in turns one and two that worked for me, I quickly realized I could win this." The victory turned the tide for Arenz in recent competition at The Plymouth Dirt Track as his previous best A-main finish in a total of four 2023 410 and 360 Sprint Car events at Plymouth had been a 20th place showing in the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions-IRA Rayce Rudeen main event on Saturday, June 3. "This win feels pretty special and it is one myself and the whole crew will always remember," Arenz said. "From 4-Cylinders to Sport Mods to 360s to now 410s, we've been able to find success and get to victory lane at Plymouth. When I was growing up, all I ever wanted to do was race at Plymouth. It feels great to get one here in a 410 Sprint Car. Considering how things have gone at Plymouth so far this year, this victory was also much needed to get us back on track." The victory marked Arenz' seventh top-five showing and ninth top-10 finish in 410 Sprint Car A-main action during the 2023 season, including six top-five and eight top-10 finishes in 10 IRA main events in 2023. At the half-way mark of the 2023 IRA 410 Sprint Car Series campaign, Arenz sits fourth in the points standings, 153 points behind fellow rookie and current IRA points leader Brenham Crouch with 16 events remaining in the season. With a break in the IRA schedule this weekend, next up for the Travis Arenz Motorsports team is a road trip west for a tripleheader weekend of IRA vs. Northern Outlaw Sprint Association (NOSA) competition starting Thursday, July 13 at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn. and continuing Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., followed by spectator gates at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. at I-94 Speedway on Thursday, July 13.
