Dirt Track Reviews
There is a visible lack of organization when it comes to the weekly management of the races here. It is posted that gates open at 5 pm with racing to begin at 7:30 pm. The reality of it is that track management is still rolling in the track from 6pm to 9pm with racing starting extremely late. Local ordinances direct that all racing be concluded by 11pm. This track is in no way ADA compliant. There are no steps or ramps leading from the ticket entrance to the stands and spectators must negotiate a 45 degree grass/gravel hill down to the bleachers. The other option is to pay down at the pits and climb the 45 degree hill up to the bleachers. There is no way that anyone in a wheel chair or motorized cart can navigate in or around the grandstands, restrooms, or snack bar. The bathrooms are run down and dark. Again anyone with a disability would not be able to use the facilities. Spectator parking is on a grass slope and unlit. Prices at the concession stand are high and the food quality low. Recommend eating prior to arrival at the track. There is also what appears to be a lack of communication from the tower to the track officials and flagman as well as inconsistency in the application of track rules as it applies to different drivers and equipment. In expressing my concerns to a track employee the response was , "it is a good old boy system and who you know..." when it comes to the management and application of rules.
