BRODY ROA GOES FOR TWO USCS WINS IN A ROW SATURDAY AT KERN COUNTY

(Cypress, CA, May 2, 2024) Brody Roa, one of the top traditional sprint car drivers west of the Mississippi, will try to make it two in a row when the Ultimate Sprint Car Series Presented By Inland Rigging visits Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway this Saturday, May 4th, for the Dave Calderwood Memorial. Two weeks ago the Garden Grove, California veteran racer won the series inaugural race on the other side of town at the Bakersfield Speedway.

Roa made the most of his first appearance in nearly two years in Jayson May's #8M when he outdistanced the field at the first-ever USCS race. In qualifying, "The Pride of Garden Grove," was the fifth fastest of his group and 11th fastest of the 30 cars on hand. He then started on the pole in his 10-lap heat race and scored the win. He again started on the pole for the 30-lap main and emerged victorious again. Combined with a win in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series last June 24th, Roa has victories in his last two appearances on "The West's Fastest 1/3 Mil High Banked Clay Oval."

Entering this week's race, Roa has a six-point lead in the championship standings in the brand-new series.

Last week Roa and May raced together for their first time at Perris Auto Speedway. While they had teamed together at other tracks and May came to Perris once with Chase Johnson, last week was their first time together at The PAS. After a fourth-place finish in his 10-lap heat.

Roa started the main event in the 15th spot. One of the keys to the main event ended up being staying out of trouble. While the first 20 laps went relatively smoothly with only one yellow, One of the keys to the race was staying over the last 10 laps was staying out of trouble as there was a pair of red flags and a plethora of yellows. The 2023 USAC/CRA champion managed to avoid the chaos and brought May's colorful #8M home in eighth.

So far in three main events in 2024, Roa has one win, two top fives, and three top 10s.
