Placerville, CA…There have been a lot of questions regarding this Saturday's Kubota High Limit Racing event at Placerville Speedway due to the recent Crozier Fire.
Russell Motorsports Inc. understands the importance of the fairgrounds as a community hub for staging emergency personnel and has been in contact with the El Dorado County Fairgrounds, Cal Fire, the Forest Service and other agencies.
With that said, the amazing firefighting efforts continue to gain containment and Placerville Speedway has been given the full GREEN LIGHT to hold this Saturday's annual Gold Rush Classic.
A portion of the fairgrounds will still be occupied by personnel, which will slightly alter the normal parking and camping area.
Several shuttles will be running before and after the races to get fans back to their vehicles that are parked in and around the fairgrounds' vicinity. We also recommend carpooling and/or using ride share services if possible.
Adjustments will also need to be made for camping at the event. For those who already have reservations, please call the fairgrounds to confirm your spot at 530-621-5860.

Grandstand seating is Reserved at the Kubota High Limit Racing Gold Rush Classic this Saturday August 17th. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time via https://www.eventsprout.com/event/psr-081724
Pit passes can be purchased at the pit gate or via the Pit Pay App to take advantage of the expanded seating area on the hill.
The pit gate will open at noon, with the front gate opening at 3pm. Happy Hour is offered when the gates open until 6pm in the grandstands featuring live music along with discounted Coors Light and Coors Original at the beer booth. The pit meeting will be held at 4:45pm with cars on track at 5:15. Hot laps, qualifying and racing will follow.
The Placerville Speedway is located on the beautiful El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, California. Take Hwy US-50 to Forni Road/Placerville Drive exit.
