(Cypress, CA, April 3, 2025) Brody Roa will return to the battleground when the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC CRA Sprint Cars visit the Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, April 5th. The race will be the second of the current campaign for the 2023 series champion. Spectator gates at the "Southern California Home of Major League Sprint Car Racing" will open at 5:00 p.m., and the first race will begin at 7:00.
Roa, aka "The Pride of Garden Grove," returned to action on March 1st at Perris after a nearly six-month layoff due to a serious hand injury. After qualifying 14th best in the stout 25-car field, he started and finished second in his 10-lap heat race on the lightning-quick half-mile clay oval. With his injured hand passing the stress test and feeling fine, it was then time to turn on the talent in the A main.
For the main event, Roa rolled off from the 13th position in the 30-lap race. The veteran driver, who won the 2019 USAC Southwest Series championship, had his work cut out for him. Once the race began, he found himself embroiled in a wild, crowd-pleasing mid-pack battle. In the second half of the race, he got into a groove and began passing car after car. When the Steve Russell checkered flag ended the affair, Roa was one of the fastest cars on the track, and he had moved all the way up to fifth. He passed more cars than any other driver and was rewarded with the Jim and Chet Gardner Hard Charger Award.
Despite the fact that it was his first full race since last Memorial Day weekend when he finished third in the Salute to Indy at Perris, and it was his first full race getting used to his new engine, the veteran driver was very impressive. With that inspiring performance under his belt, Roa is ready for more this Saturday.
For the 2025 season, Roa's plan is to spend a lot of family time with his wife, Tailor, and their two young daughters. He only plans on contesting the races at Perris. Thus, the next race on the veteran's schedule after Saturday will be April 26th on the same brightly lit Riverside County half-mile clay oval.
To see Roa in action on Saturday, Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in the City of Perris. Tickets for those 13 and over are $35.00. For seniors 65 and older, the cost is $30.00. Kids 6-12 are $10.00, and children five and under are free. The fairgrounds charge $20.00 for parking. Advance tickets are available at tix.com or by calling 1-800-595-4849.
Roa would like to thank his 2025 sponsors, "Biker" Bruce Fischer, Burris Racing, ALR Virtual Services, Caltrol, Molecule, and Wilwood Disc Brakes. If you would like to be a marketing partner with the team in 2025, contact Roa using the information at the top of this release.
