PASSCAR Street & Factory Stocks Join Sprint Cars for the Salute to Indy at Perris Auto Speedway

May 19, 2025, PERRIS, CA — The engines will thunder once more at Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday, May 24th, as the iconic Southern California dirt track hosts one of the longest-running sprint car events in the nation — the Annual Salute to Indy, featuring the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. In addition to the top-tier wingless warriors, will be the PASSCAR Street Stocks, American Factory Stocks, and the PAS Senior and Young Gun Sprint Cars.
Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the green flag will drop on racing at 7:00 p.m.. Fans arriving early can take advantage of special drink deals from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., with half-price Budweiser beers and two-for-one Pepsis.
PASSCAR STREET STOCKS: A Tight Points Battle
Saturday marks just the second outing of the season for the PASSCAR Street Stocks after weather delays earlier in the year. Shawn Estes of Riverside claimed victory in the March 1st season opener, with fellow Riverside driver Chad Mahony finishing second. George Leventis of Rancho Palos Verdes crossed the line in third and enters this weekend just two points behind Estes in the standings, thanks to a better heat race performance than Mahony, who currently sits third overall. Veteran Tim "Shaggy" Shadduck of Hemet and Riverside's Evan Sennett, a native of Ohio, round out the current top five in points.
AMERICAN FACTORY STOCKS: Stites on a Streak
The Factory Stocks are the only PASSCAR division to have run twice this season. David Stites of Canyon Lake has dominated both events, taking the main event win each time and holding a four-point lead over James Keller of Jurupa Valley. Keller, with second- and third-place finishes, is closely followed by Andrew Schmitz of Ramona, who mirrors Keller's results and sits third in points. Cameron Broe (Ramona) and Lanny Savage (Colton) complete the top five in the championship standings.
PAS SENIOR & YOUNG GUN SPRINTS: Leaders Emerge
In the Senior Sprints, Kevin Poynter (Mission Viejo) and Greg Badgwell (Yorba Linda) are deadlocked at the top of the points leaderboard. The Young Guns division has seen Jake McKee (Redlands) and Andrew Heard (Victorville) grab wins this year. However, McKee will sit out this round after suffering a fractured vertebrae in a flip during the April 5th main.

With plenty of seats available, fans are encouraged to bring the whole family for a night of high-speed thrills and hometown racing heroes.

Camping on the fairgrounds is available for all races at $25.00 a night beginning at noon on Friday.
