Shawano, WI - Mitch McGrath was crowned King of the WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour Stars & Stripes 25 at Shawano Speedway in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane. McGrath started the night off with a blistering 19.483 second lap in Qualifying, earning the Champ Pans Fast Qualifier Award. McGrath also won his heat race, making him eligible for the re-draw and he was the Ken's Sports Inc Pole Sitter, starting the A-Main to the inside of Brett Swedberg.
McGrath and Swedberg led the field to the green flag, with Brad Mueller and Taylor Scheffler in row two. Just like in the heat races, many lap times were faster than qualifying, causing the race to be shortened to 20 laps.
McGrath pulled ahead to the lead and he never looked back, gaining valuable time on Swedberg with every lap. Swedberg was able to close in as McGrath worked his way through the tail end of the field, but on a one groove racetrack, McGrath had no problems pulling away from Swedberg. With no cautions to slow the field, McGrath finished 3.718 seconds of Swedberg. Mueller finished third followed by Scheffler and Troy Springborn.
