HOLYOKE, CO — The dirt will fly this weekend as Phillips County Raceway fires up the 2025 season with a massive doubleheader that launches both the BST Great Plains IMCA Tour and the Colorado Alliance Tour (CAT). With no other races within 300 miles, all eyes will be on Holyoke, Colorado, for what promises to be one of the most exciting season openers in the region.

The action begins Saturday, May 31 at 6PM, and continues into Sunday, June 1 at 3PM, packing the weekend with high-octane battles across High Plains Late Models, Modifieds, Stock Cars, Sport Mods, Hobby Stocks, Sport Compacts, Warriors, Dwarfs and JR Compacts.

"This is more than just another race weekend, it's a statement," said series promoter Joe Bellm of BST Promotions. "When you kick off two premier tours at one of the most exciting and fastest tracks in Colorado, and there's no other competition for hundreds of miles, you know it's going to be good times with good people."

Both tours bring the drivers more money and bragging rights. For the BST Great Plains IMCA Tour, these are the first of eight critical stops on a tightly packed schedule that stretches across Colorado and Nebraska. The CAT Tour, known for challenging Colorado drivers to step outside their zip code to race includes four different Colorado dirt tracks and hosts nine races.

The Saturday night under the lights and Sunday afternoon matinee give fans a full-throttle weekend that's unrivaled anywhere in the region. With draw/redraw formats ensuring no one coasts on qualifying, the competition will be fierce right from the drop of the green flag.

For those who crave real grassroots racing, Phillips County Raceway is the place to be this weekend. From the rumble of Late Models to the door-to-door duels of Modifieds and Stock Cars, this is Colorado dirt racing at its finest.
