WHEATLAND, MO. (July 21, 2025) - Lucas Oil Speedway's Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday will include a concessions special plus a double dose of the Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA B-Mods.
Round 9 of the Pitts Homes and Realty Weekly Racing Series will offer fans an all-beef hot dog and 32-ounce fountain drink for $5 throughout the evening. On the track, the B-Mod Twin 20s run their first 20-lap feature, then pull into the infield for a seven-minute break to make any changes to the cars.
The second 20-lapper will be inverted on a fan vote from the finishing order of the opener. For instance, it could be the first three rows, six row - or the entire field like happened a year ago.
The payout for each race will be: 1st, $1,000; 2nd, $500; 3rd, $400; 4th, $300; 5th, $200; 6th, $125; 7th, $100; 8th, $95; 9th, 90; 10th, $85; 11th, $80. 12th-through-24th, $75. Non-qualifiers will receive $55.
The B-Mods will earn track and USRA national points for both feature races. Jon Sheets of Nevada continues to lead the track championship chase, by 107 points over Trevor Drake of Brighton.
The Arctic Food Equipment USRA Modifieds, Hickamo Super Stocks and Hermitage Lumber Late Models also will be in action as the season championship battles head into the home stretch. Nic Bidinger of Perry, Kan., leads Ryan Middaugh by 96 points in the Modifieds; Tim Brown of Stoutland has a six-point lead over Tony Anglin in Super Stocks and Robbe Ewing of Stockton is two points in front of JC Morton in the Late Models.
Joining the action will be the Show-Me Vintage Racers as a special guest class. The SMVR cars will be on display on the midway from 4:30-5:45 p.m.
Intermission will find this month's Kids' Power Wheel Races taking place on the front straightaway.
Grandstands open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing to follow. As usual for the Pitts Homes and Realty Weekly Series, general admission is just $5 (ages 6-and-up) with 5-and-under free. Pit passes are $35.
