Lucas Oil Speedway's Rempfer Memorial Season Championship Night set for Saturday

dirtFan website

WHEATLAND, MO. (Aug. 18, 2025) - Lucas Oil Speedway crowns track champions in five divisions of the Pitts Homes & Realty Weekly Racing Series this Saturday on Rempfer Memorial Season Championship Night.

The program is named to honor Harold "Rowdy" Rempfer and his wife, Julia, who were killed in an automobile accident seven years ago. Rowdy was the mayor of Wheatland and he and Julia both worked at Lucas Oil Speedway.

Two divisions in particular find red-hot battles for championships. The Hermitage Lumber Late Model division finds Robbe Ewing of Stockton taking a 34-point lead into the final night of the regular season over JC Morton of Springfield. While Morton has won four features and Ewing just one, Ewing has been a model of consistency with six second-place finishes and on third.

Should adversity strike the top two, Tucker Cox of Jefferson City is within striking distance 74 points behind Ewing.

The tightest points race is in the Hickamo Super Stocks where Tim Brown of Stoutland, with 10 top-five finishes in 11 races, clings to a 14-point over over Tony Anglin of Walnut Ridge, Ark. Both Brown and Anglin are former winners of the Hickamo Super Stocks Big Buck 50 Presented by Whitetail Trophy Hunt, the 9th annual of which will be contested Oct. 9-10.

Nic Bidinger of Perry, Kan., paces the Arctic Food Equipment USRA Modified division with six top-fives in nine events. He's 92 points clear of former track champion Ryan Middaugh of Fulton. Meanwhile, Jon Sheets of Nevada has used four feature wins to open a 103-point command over Trevor Drake of Brighton in the Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA M-Mods.

The driver with the biggest cushion of all the leaders is Mason Beck of Urbana who brings a 106-point lead over Lebanon's William Garner into championship night. Beck has driven to three feature wins and 10 top-five finishes in 11 events.

In addition to the five weekly divisions, the final round of the Kids' Power Wheel Races will be held during intermission with season championships awarded to the youngsters. The kids can sign up to race at the RCR Designs Junior Fan Club on the midway prior to Saturday's action.

Pits and spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:05.
