Cypress, CA - October 12, 2025 — After a week of camping and recharging with his wife and daughters in the majestic Yosemite National Park, a rejuvenated Brody Roa is ready to get back behind the wheel when the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, October 18th. For Roa, it's the first of three races in four weeks at the legendary Riverside County half-mile oval.
Saturday's showdown comes just two weeks after another impressive performance from the veteran racer at Arizona's Mohave Valley Raceway, where he earned his second In Memory of Jim and Chet Gardner Hard Charger award of the season. The Garden Grove, California star has a special connection with Mohave. It is the site of one of the most thrilling victories of his career, when he stormed from 11th to win a 30-lap USAC/CRA main event in dominating fashion on October 8, 2022.
At the same track two weeks ago, Roa qualified 14th out of 28 cars with a lap of 14.549. He then piloted his immaculate #91R sprint car to a convincing victory in the first heat race of the night. It was his fifth USAC/CRA heat race win of 2025.
True to form, Roa started deep in the feature but wasted no time charging through the pack. In the 30-lap main event, the 34-year-old methodically picked off eight competitors to claim a hard-earned sixth-place finish.
So far this season in his own #91R machine, Roa has started nine main events, finishing in the top ten every time except for one. That came in June at Perris in a race that he had just taken the lead before being sidelined by misfortune. His 2025 stats include three top-five finishes and a season-best third at Perris three weeks ago.
At Perris this year, Roa's average main event finish is a solid 7.28. Remove the race he was knocked out of, and that number improves to an impressive 5.66. That fine number offers proof that "The Pride of Garden Grove" is as fast and focused as ever heading into Saturday night's return to the "Southern California Home of USAC/CRA."
Spectator gates at Perris open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00. Tickets for those 13 and over are $35.00. Kids 6-12 get in for $10.00, and children 5 and under are free. The fairgrounds charge $20.00 for parking (payment for parking is by card only).
Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in the city of Perris. For more information, please visit perrisautospeedway.com or call (951) 940-0134.
