"Very Unhealthy" Air Warning From DEP Cancels Williams Grove July 17 - Fan Appreciation to be made up July 24, Dirty Deeds August 7

Mechanicsburg - Due to the statewide issuance of a Code PURPLE Quality Air Alert by the Department of Environmental Protection, Williams Grove Speedway has cancelled the racing program for tonight, July 17.
The air alert stems from the state being enveloped by wildfire smoke from Canada that deems the air quality to be, "Very Unhealthy."
Unfortunately, the intensity and density of the smoke in the air is forecasted to worsen as the day goes on and in fact is expected to have its worst impact during the evening hours, directly affecting the racing program.
In the interest of fans, teams and drivers the decision was made to cancel the racing program just after 10 am.
Fan Appreciation Night including giveaways for fans and free admission to the frontstretch pit area for general admission fans will now we held next week as part of the July 24 racing program.
The Dirty Deeds 25 race that was slated for 358 sprints on July 17 will be made up on August 7.
