Mechanicsburg -The C & D Rigging World of Outlaws Summer Nationals are set for Friday and Saturday, July 31 and August 1 at Williams Grove Speedway.
And for those keeping track, that's just two weeks away!
The C & D Rigging Summer Nationals will find the most famous rivalry in all of sprint car racing again taking center stage as the outlaws invade Williams Grove to do battle with the local Pennsylvania Posse drivers.
When the outlaws first hit town this season back in May, Williams Grove fans watched as Kasey Kahne and David Gravel drove to victory.
Posse fans counted Friday's win as one for the home team in May as Kahne was piloting the Macri Motorsports No. 39M, subbing for an injured Anthony Macri.
This time around Macri is back in the saddle and back to his winning ways at the Grove and over the outlaws in general as he just triumphed in the Kings Royal at Eldora, Ohio, for the second year in a row on Saturday night.
Though not a Grove winner yet this year, oval regular Chase Dietz has cemented himself as the winningest driver in the country to date this season.
On the road, Gravel has continued to win and will enter the Summer Nationals as the outlaws series point leader with seven wins under his belt while Buddy Kofoid owns nine while sitting second in points.
The Summer Nationals Friday main event on July 31 will be 25-laps in distance and pay $12,000 to win.
Saturday's main event will go 30-laps for $20,000 to win.
Both nights of Summer Nationals action fell victim to weather last season.
