- PASSCAR Super Stocks and Factory Stocks Join USAC/CRA Sprint Cars This Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway
Perris, California — July 14, 2025 — Fans attending this Saturday's high-octane event at Perris Auto Speedway will get more than just the thunder of the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Joining the program on July 19th will be the track's fastest full-bodied stock car class—the PASSCAR Super Stocks—and the ever-competitive American Factory Stocks. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with racing set to begin when starter Steve Russell waves the green flag at 7:00. Due to weather-related cancellations earlier in the season, Saturday's show will mark only the third appearance of the year for the Super Stocks and the fourth for the Factory Stocks. In Super Stock action, Riverside's Tyson Talkington and Pahrump, Nevada's Tony Kinkade Jr. won the first two races of the year. Despite those victories, neither driver currently leads the championship points standings. That honor belongs to Chuck Becker of Yucaipa, a four-time PAS champion, who has finished second in both main events so far. Becker enters the weekend holding a narrow eight-point lead over a tight trio for second place: 2022 champion Talkington, Billy Simkins of Bakersfield, and 2023 champ Ricky Lee of Banning, who are all tied. Kincade Jr. trails closely behind in fifth—just one point back from the three-way tie. Last season saw a dramatic Super Stock championship finish, with Becker and Buena Park's Billy Griffin tying for the title. Griffin missed this year's opener waiting for an engine and suffered mechanical woes in round two while running with the lead pack. He enters Saturday's race 10th in points, 32 behind Becker. In the Factory Stock class, two-time champion David Stites has dominated the 2025 season so far. The daytime realtor and nighttime racer has swept all three main events and picked up one heat race win along the way. In six starts, Stites has scored an astonishing 67 out of a possible 69 points. James Keller of Crestline sits second in points. The hardworking truck driver has compiled finishes of second, third, and fourth in main events this year and won two heat races. He trails Stites by just eight points. Cameron Bro and Andrew Schmitz, both from Ramona, sit third and fourth in the standings, while 2023 champion Kris Carnish of Menifee, runner-up to Stites at the last race, is fifth. - After Best USAC/CRA Finish of the Year at Santa Maria, Jeff Dyer Takes on Perris Auto Speedway This Saturday
Yucca Valley, CA - July 16, 2025 — After enduring a challenging start to the season in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series, Jeff Dyer finally found some momentum two weeks ago at Santa Maria Speedway, finishing 11th in the 30-lap main event. That marked his best result of the year in the ultra-competitive 410 non-wing sprint car series. Now, the Yucca Valley-based racer hopes to improve on that finish when the series returns to its home track—Perris Auto Speedway—this Saturday night, July 21st. At Santa Maria, Dyer qualified 14th and placed fifth in his 10-lap heat race. Starting 13th in the feature, the California Highway Patrol Officer saw a spin deprive him of his first top-ten of the season. While the 410 effort ended on a high note, mechanical gremlins hampered Dyer's effort in the California Lightning Sprint Car Series that night. After qualifying fourth fastest and finishing fifth in the first heat, he lost an oil cap during the second heat race, which led to oil loss. The result was a spun bearing that ended his night prematurely. Dyer's young teammate, 16-year-old rookie Drake Cardey of Riverside, also had a rollercoaster evening. Making his debut on Santa Maria's 1/3-mile clay oval, Cardey impressed right out of the gate, qualifying second fastest. He followed that up with a third-place result in his first heat and a win in his second heat. Starting on the pole for the Lightning Sprint main, Cardey led the first 15 laps and appeared to be on his way to a breakout win. However, disaster struck entering turn three on lap 16 when his car belched smoke and coasted to a stop—another victim of engine failure. He was credited with a seventh-place finish. Following that event, Cardey headed east for a four-race Midwest tour in a 600cc non-wing micro sprint prepared by the legendary Keith Kunz Motorsports. Despite never having driven a micro before, Cardey made the A-Main all four nights against stacked national fields—winning a heat race, a B-Main, and showing remarkable speed and racecraft. Night 1: 5th place at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (MO) Night 2: From 15th to 6th at Mitchell County Fairgrounds (KS) Night 3: 7th place at Jefferson County Speedway (NE) Night 4: Charged from 13th to 4th before hitting an infield tire and breaking the steering, resulting in a 21st-place finish Despite the final night's misfortune, Cardey left a strong impression on fans and industry insiders watching via Flo Racing with his aggressive, fearless driving style. Fans can catch Dyer and the USAC/CRA stars in action this Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., and racing begins at 7:00 p.m. Ticket Prices: Adults (13 & over): $35 Seniors (65+): $30 Kids (6-12): $10 Children 5 & under: Free Fairgrounds Parking: $20 Tickets are available in advance at www.tix.com. Tickets will also be available at the gate on race day. Venue Info: Perris Auto Speedway 18700 Lake Perris Drive Perris, CA 92571 www.perrisautospeedway.com (951) 940-0134 Cardey's California Lightning Sprint Car is sponsored by Eibach Springs, Cardey Construction, Jake Swanson Shock Technology, Last Lap Insider, and Dylan Godeniz Motorsports. - Hartmann mounts Outlaws charge, eyes Knoxville dream
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 16, 2025 - In a season haunted by mechanical maladies and misfortune, Austin Hartmann and the 87A Hartmann Racing Team encountered more of the same early before coming on strong late to cap an eventful night with the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. on Saturday, July 12. The Plymouth, Wis. driver's fifth night of competition with the World of Outlaws in 2025 started on a sour note as his machine failed to fire for hot laps, qualifying and heat race action. After finally diagnosing a problem with the car's fueling system, Hartmann put together an inspired drive from 12th to sixth in the Last Chance Showdown to earn the final transfer spot into the 40-lap Larry Hillerud Memorial main event. The 2020 Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car rookie of the year drove a smooth and steady A main to finish 19th from the 24th starting spot. "Man, what a struggle," Hartmann, "We found out the tail tank was causing the car not to fire. It was the same one the car ran on the race prior. I didn't really keep my composure at all. Then, when we pushed off for the B main, I realized I lost rear brakes, so that made it even worse in the B [Last Chance Showdown]. All in all, I can't thank the Goldsberrys, Neumans and Dave Uttech enough for brainstorming and helping to get the car running. The car runs great now." Hartmann is ready to hit the road to Iowa to make his debut at the most renowned track in the sport of Sprint Car racing this Saturday, July 19. "We will regroup and focus on Knoxville Raceway this weekend," Hartmann said. "Racing at Knoxville is a lifelong dream. It's finally coming true." Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing commencing at 8 p.m. for the Knoxville Raceway weekly 410 Sprint Car program on historic half-mile semi-banked black dirt oval. - Lucas Oil Speedway Spotlight: 4 State Dirt Series is a fit for points leader Crigler, rookie contender Tiger
WHEATLAND, MO. (July 16, 2025) - Sawyer Crigler wants to forge his own way in the dirt Late Model racing world as his dad, long-time regional racer Scott Criger, continues to enjoy success in the sport. The 4 State Dirt Late Model Series has been the younger Crigler's path. "To me it's the best traveling series out there for the regional guy who doesn't want to break the bank," Sawyer Crigler said. "We're on a super hard tire that we're not allowed to groove or sipe. I put on a fresh set at the beginning of the year and I've run the same tire all year. I have eight races on them now and last week I put on a new right rear for the first time." One of Crigler's four series wins in 2025 came at Lucas Oil Speedway back in March. The 4 State points leader, out of Alton, Mo., looks to make it 2-for-2 on Saturday night when the 4 State Late Models headline Horton Supply Company Veterans and Military Appreciation Night at the races. All veterans and military personnel with ID will be admitted free with ID. The 4 State Dirt Series pays $1,250-to-win the feature and $400-to-start the main event. Other classes in action will be the Arctic Food Equipment Modifieds, O'Reilly Auto Parts Stock Cars and the Clear Creek Golf Car B-Mods. Sawyer Crigler, 24, grew up around the sport and found success driving Modifieds as a teenager, with track championships in the B Mod and Modified divisions at Legit Speedway in West Plains. He climbed behind the wheel of a Late Model in 2019 and hasn't looked back - as his dad continues to excel with multiple wins this season in open competition. "I feel Late Models are the top of the food chain as far as dirt-track racing. It's been a lifelong goal to be able to drive one and be successful," Sawyer Crigler said. Winning the 4 State championship is Sawyer's goal this season after narrowly missing it a year ago. He wound up third, just eight points behind series champ Dustin Atkinson and four behind runner-up Jace Parmley. "I blew up a motor at Tri-State and that pretty well sunk my ship for the season," Crigler said of last season. "I had a really good late part of the season, and got close, but it wasn't enough to get it done. That's the main goal right now, to win that deal. I haven't raced a lot of super shows because I've been focused on that." Crigler, who is 70 points in front of Joey Smith of West Plains in the series chase, said the win at Lucas Oil Speedway in March was only his third time to compete at Wheatland. "We went there in a B-Mod probably about four years ago and about three years ago I raced my dad's Late Model in a weekly series race," he said. "We didn't run very good. The next time there was the beginning of this year. "The track, best I can remember, was really slick and it really cleaned up around the bottom. I really wasn't tested at all," he added. Tiger enjoys rookie 4 State season: Another driver looking forward to coming back to Wheatland on Saturday is Dustin Tiger of West Plains. Tiger, 27, leads the 4 State Rookie of the Year standings and is third overall in points, 160 behind Crigler. Just like Crigler, Tiger said the 4 State has been a perfect proving ground for him to break into Late Model racing after spending several years campaigning Modifieds. "I ran a Modified the last three years and with Legit Speedway being closed last year I was running by myself at Flippin (Arkansas)," Tiger said. He noted that his brother-in-law, Austin Vincent, was racing on the Comp Cams Late Model series. but he wasn't budgeted to join him there. Instead, Tiger and his family have made the 4 State Series their traveling home and it's gone well. He picked up his first Late Model feature win at Lakeside Speedway on June 20th and has four top-five finishes in eight events. "I'm definitely happy with my first year in a Late Model. It's gone really good," Tiger said, adding that the camaraderie has been excellent as well. "Everyone with the series has been really nice. If you have an idea, they will value your opinion," Tiger said, adding that the competitors are "cool guys and fun to talk to. It's fun to race with their newer format this year where we qualify. It's been really good racing this year." Tiger is looking to improve upon his seventh-place finish at Lucas Oil Speedway on his first visit. Each time he takes the Late Model out it's a learning experience. "That was my first time with the 4 State rules, with their shocks and tires," he said. "I was pretty content with that. I like Lucas. It gets slick and smooth and that's of in my wheelhouse. I'm looking forward to coming back and hopefully get a podium or a win." - Albany-Saratoga, Fonda On Deck for Empire Super Sprints
By Curtis Berleue (Malta, NY) | After a much-deserved weekend off following a grueling 2025 CNY Speedweek, the Empire Super Sprints are set to spring back into action this weekend. With their only trip of the season to the far-eastern side of New York, the tour will stop Friday at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, NY and Saturday at the Fonda Speedway in Fonda, NY. Friday's visit to Albany-Saratoga will be the 35 ESS event at the 4/10 mile oval, with the first event dating all the way back to July 13, 1985 when Gordy Button picked up the win. Recently, it was Danny Varin in victory lane, winning last year's stop just north of the state capital. Saturday, the tour heads an hour down the road to the Fonda Speedway for the annual Earl Halaquist Memorial. Earl Halaquist Memorial was one of the most accomplished sprint car drivers in the Northeast in his time. Competing across NY, NJ, PA, VA, NC, MD VT, Canada and more, Halaquist amassed 53 URC wins and six championships. Halaquist, a World War II veteran, was inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, IA in 2000 before his passing in 2001. While there have been 15 different winners in 28 events at the Fonda Speedway through the years, recently it has been almost all Danny Varin in victory lane. Varin has won every ESS event at the track since August of 2017 with the exception of 2023 when Shawn Donath spoiled the streak for a total of 8 wins in 9 starts. All eyes will be on the tour's most recent winner to see if he can go 9 for 10 on Saturday. After 5 races in 5 nights through CNY Speedweek, the year-end points battle is starting to take shape. Defending champion Jordan Poirier still sits atop the standings with 1133 points, and Speedweek champion Dylan Swiernik is in second with 982 points. Jason Barney follows with 913 points in third, while Paulie Colagiovanni (857 points) and Logan Crisafulli (854 points) complete the top five. A full listing of gate times and prices, along with a nightly schedule of events for this weekends events at Albany-Saratoga and Fonda can be found on the tracks social media pages and website, along with the Empire Super Sprints social media pages. For the latest news, information, and schedule updates regarding the Empire Super Sprints be sure to check the series website (www.EmpireSuperSprints.com) and follow along on Facebook (Empire Super Sprints), X (@ESSprints) and Instagram (@empiresupersprints). - Pierce Pockets $25,053 on Tuesday at Shelby County Speedway
HARLAN, IA (July 15, 2025) - Bobby Pierce won a thrilling Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presented by FlorRacing event on Tuesday night at Shelby County Speedway, as he led the final 14 laps of the Kosiski Family 53, earning $25,053 for his second Series win of the year. Pierce, who started seventh, passed Ricky Thornton Jr. on lap 39 and then went on to win by 1.249 seconds over fellow Illini driver Brandon Sheppard, who finished second after starting in 12th. Thornton, who started sixth, led three laps and rounded out the Big River Steel Podium in third. Hudson O'Neal, who had to take a provisional starting from the 23rd spot, finished fourth, with Jonathan Davenport, who led the first 36 laps, coming home in fifth. Pierce went to Lucas Oil Victory Lane for the 26th time in his career, surviving a three-wide race for the lead to claim the victory as the Oakwood, Illinois, racer was making his first career start at the Western Iowa facility. "First off, I've got to say thank you to Shelby County Speedway — it's an awesome race track. Thank you to all the fans for coming out tonight and packing this place. I kind of had to make some of the holes myself with the sliders; those were just death sliders there. I knew I had to make them check-up. We just had to get something going; we needed a consistent line of cars running the top. I was waiting on Brandon (Overton) to make another move like he did before— that one caution he started sliding Thornton, so that let me get in the mix, but someone had to start it, so I just started throwing the bombs." "What an awesome race, JD and I were pushing hard, and I let Thornton get in there. I thought, man, I don't want to get him in the mix; you know, it was another car to race. It's very tough to keep your composure sometimes. You had Dennis Erb on the bottom, and if you messed around up there too much, he was getting a good line down there. Watching the videos from last year taught me a lot about where to run." Sheppard, who won Saturday night's race at Lucas Oil Speedway, continued his mid-season surge in Rocket1 and earned $10,000 for finishing second. "I knew he (Pierce) was going to be good, so I kind of followed him throughout and watched the lines he was running, using that to judge my own performance. He was really impressive, so congratulations to Bobby and Ricky. Thanks to all the fans for coming out; we appreciate all of you. Man, track prep tonight was on point—that thing was racy. Last year, it was pretty bottom-dominant, but they learned from that and fine-tuned it perfectly for the feature." Thornton, who now resides back in Iowa, was aiming for his 11th series win of 2025 and is now just 25 points behind Davenport heading to Huset's Speedway on Thursday night. "Man, I felt like I had a lot of fun last night, but tonight was actually more fun. Anytime you can race JD and Bobby like that and throw sliders like that, knowing they aren't going to run you over, it's pretty awesome. Of course, it sucks not to win a race like that, but Bobby was really good, and Shepp was really good as well. I feel like I need a little more to get a bit better, but we're improving on these small bullrings, so hopefully we'll go to Huset's and be really good. Hats off to everyone here — the whole city came together and helped us with gift cards and stuff like that. Hopefully we come back for a 2 or 3-day show." The winner's Bobby Pierce Racing, Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Vic Hill Racing Engine and sponsored by Low Voltage Solutions, Rio Grande Waste Services, Churchill Transport, Collins Brothers Towing, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Toyota of Danville, Carnaghi Towing and Repair, Ted Brown's Quality Paint and Body Shop, Fast 1 Speed Shop. Leka Tree Service, Fast Shafts, Floyd's Waste Systems, Duromax Racing Oil, VP Fuels, and Bert by Budda. Completing the top ten were Brandon Overton, Garrett Alberson, Dennis Erb Jr., Devin Moran, and Carson Ferguson. - Carson Macedo wins wild Brad Doty Classic at Attica
ATTICA, Ohio - Leading the 37th Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by dac® Vitamins and Minerals Tuesday at Attica Raceway Park wasn't easy. The race featured five different lead changes and at the end of the 40 laps it was Lemoore, California's Carson Macedo scoring the $15,000 payday for his first Brad Doty Classic victory. There was an old saying in the early days of the Brad Doty Classic - the driver leading at lap 30 did not win the race. That held true Tuesday except three different drivers lead the final 10 circuits. Buddy Kofoid lead the first seven laps of the race with Kyle Larson leading laps 8 and 9 before Kofoid regained the lead and looked headed to the win. But, Kofoid was the first driver to fall victim to the turn four cushion on lap 31. Sheldon Haudenschild then took over and also appeared to be heading to victory lane until turn four bit him as well on lap 36. Macedo led the final four laps for his sixth World Of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink win of 2025 aboard his Jason Johnson Racing/Albaugh Your Alternative/Mesilla Valley Transportation/Tarleton & Son/Saich Family/Scott Boyd Family/Complete Parts/Border International backed #41. Macedo, whose brother Cole who won the High Limit race the previous night at Fremont Speedway, now has six career wins at Attica Raceway Park. Kofoid, Donny Schatz (from 16th), Logan Schuchart and Larson rounded out the top five. "A lot of the race I really didn't know where to be. I was just kind of went where I felt the most decent. I was playing a lot of defense…I felt like you had to get really good runs off the corners to get away from somebody not to actually run the top on either end without somebody dirtying up your line and getting in front of you. A lot of races at Attica get won or lost in the last stages of the race. I just really tried to pace myself," said Macedo. A scary incident during the Micro-Lite Last Chance Showdown resulted in Kalib Henry being transported via helicopter to a Toledo Hospital. Attica Raceway Park, the World of Outlaws and all the race teams and fans are praying for Henry's recovery. Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, July 25 with the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group 410 sprints, the Real Geese Decoys/Real Capz AFCS 305 Sprints and the Dirt Nerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Models in action. - WESTBROOK BECOMES ALL-TIME SOS WINS LEADER WITH BUXTON VICTORY
MERLIN, Ont. (July 12, 2025) - Dylan Westbrook had a record-setting night on Saturday at Buxton Speedway with the Southern Ontario Sprints series. The driver from Scotland, Ontario set a new single lap track record in his heat race and capped the night off with a victory that moved him to the top of the all-time SOS win list. Ryan Turner and Skyler Evans earned front row starting positions for the 25 lap A-Main, and Evans quickly opened a commanding lead. Westbrook moved forward and began to reel in the 14-year-old leader as traffic came into play. Westbrook took advantage when Evans slipped high in turn two and took over the top spot, while Evans later spun. Westbrook led the rest of the race unchallenged and took the 33rd Southern Ontario Sprints series feature win of his career. The win moved Rick Wilson to second on the all-time list after decades at the top. Turner took the runner-up spot, followed by championship leader Darren Dryden. DJ Christie recovered from trouble in his heat race to finish fourth, while Alex Bergeron rounded out the top five. Ryan Turner claimed the Ackland Insurance Quick Time Award and set a new Buxton Speedway time trial record in the process, while DJ Christie was The Drivers Project Hard Charger Award winner. Turner's lap of 13.348 seconds is the new time trial standard at Buxton, while Westbrook's lap of 13.138 seconds in his heat race is the fastest recorded at the Southwestern Ontario speedplant. The next SOS event is co-sanctioned with the Great Lakes Super Sprints series and scheduled for August 23 at Buxton Speedway. - Perfect pass punctuates Pokorski's first Plymouth win
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 15, 2025 - As last-lap passes go, Alex Pokorski's slide job to steal the victory in the 25-lap Akright Auto Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car A-main at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. on Saturday, July 12, will not soon be forgotten. Pokorski's final lap heroics propelled him to not just any race win, but his first career PDTR 360 Sprint Car main event victory at his home track. The night got off to a strong start as the West Bend native recorded his second consecutive fast qualifier award in PDTR 360 Sprint Car competition with a lap of 12.853 seconds to lead the 23-car field. In the first eight-lap heat race, Pokorski advanced to third from the fourth starting spot to gain the pole position in the 25-lap main event. After leading the first three laps, Pokorski relinquished the top spot to Billy Kreutz on lap 4. As the laps wound down, slower traffic became an issue for Kreutz, which allowed Pokorski to cut the gap significantly before making a bid for the lead to no avail on lap 19. Three laps later, Pokorski ripped off a slide job in turn four to briefly take the lead. However, Kreutz battled back to reclaim the top spot with a slide job of his own in turn one on lap 23. On the final circuit, Pokorski wound up tight and unleashed a thrilling race-winning slide job in turn two to seize the top spot en route to his first career PDTR 360 Sprint Car A-main victory and second career Midwest Sprint Car Association main event win. It was Pokorski's first MSA victory since June 2, 2023 at Dodge County Fairgrounds Speedway in Beaver Dam, Wis. In five PDTR-MSA 360 Sprint Car starts in 2025, Pokorski has racked up an A-main victory to go along with three additional podium finishes and a lowest finish of ninth. "That race was a lot of fun," Pokorski said. "I think it's more rewarding than the last one because we had to really work for it, both on and off the track. The race I had with Billy [Kreutz] with the slide job to win on the final lap is how you dream of winning them. Dave [Schultz], Randy [Leamer] and my dad [Paul Pokorski] did a great job of helping me get the car set up just right. Also, getting our second quick time award in only five events with MSA was the cherry on top. Those results show we have a little more speed than last year, in addition to our feature finishes." Next up for the team is a Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series tripleheader starting Friday, July 25 at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., moving to Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, July 26 and closing at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. on Sunday, July 27. - Dates And Info For 2026 Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy Drink Set
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (July 15, 2025) The temperature is high now, but it will be dropping before we know it and that means it will be time to head to Tulsa to do battle for a Golden Driller at the 2026 Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout powered by NOS Energy Drink. Happening December 29, 2025, through January 3, 2026, information on the upcoming "Mecca of Micros" has been confirmed and is ready for release. REGISTRATION: Drivers can start signing up on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with early registration discount expiring on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The early entry fee is $100/class entered. After that, registration is $125/class entered through Tuesday, December 16, 2025. After that, all registration will be closed until Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the SageNet Center. Drivers will be able to register online at http://www.tulsashootout.com. The entry blank will be mailed out to our competitor database, and can be returned to 1141 S. 83rd East Ave. Tulsa, OK 74112, or faxed to (918) 836-5517. Entries can also be phoned in to (918) 838-3777, or (918) 606-2592, Monday-Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (CT). As always, regarding car numbers. We do not allow reflective numbers. If your numbers are borderline or not readable, you will need to fix them. You will be given one warning during practice to fix your numbers. Numbers not fixed by race time will result in disqualification, and you will not be allowed to enter the racetrack. Non-Wing Classes must have a number on the nose of your car. The letter must be above the number and legible. Winged Classes must have numbers on both sideboards. All cars must have legible numbers on the tail tank. Car numbers are a max of three digits. That includes the use of a letter. For example, a car can be No. 100, or No. 10x. Not No. 100x. Remember, we have three people hand scoring because sometimes the transponder system does go down, they fall off the car, or just stop working. We need to be able to read all car numbers so you are not scored incorrectly and also to speed up time under caution. It also helps our infield crew to move cars around when a RACEceiver malfunctions. Contrast is important. Black on black with a hint of grey is not readable when a car is in motion, especially from a distance. Finally, once your number is published on the Tulsa Shootout website, it will not be changed. If you do not correctly fill out the required number selection, the Tulsa Shootout will assign a number to you, and it will not be changed. PARKING: Early Parking will begin pulling into the SageNet Center on Saturday, December 27, and finish on Sunday, December 28. Parking will follow the same procedures as the 2025 event. Those who were on the early parking list for the 2025 event will be called. Anyone with questions about early parking or to get on the waiting list, please contact Ashleigh Ward at (918) 606-2592. - SCCT ready to tackle Western Sprint Tour Speedweek on July 18th-27th
Chico, CA…For the second consecutive season the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour is primed for Western Sprint Tour Speedweek, which showcases eight nights of racing at seven different venues from California to Washington. Everything kicks off in a big way at Chico's Silver Dollar Speedway this Friday July 18th with the 12th annual "Tyler Wolf Memorial" race. It will be a definite highlight of Speedweek, as we honor the late racer. It also doubles as Fan Appreciation Night, with grandstand tickets costing just $5. Kids 12 and under will be free. When 20-year-old Tyler Wolf lost his life at Calistoga Speedway in 2012, it was one of the darkest days in recent memory for the California racing scene. The Redding native had captured the Silver Dollar Speedway track title one year prior and was well liked throughout the pit area. The event in his memory continues to be one of the special shows each season at Silver Dollar Speedway and is the only SCCT visit of 2025. One night later Speedweek rolls on with the $5,000-to-win/ $500-to-start "Gold Pan Rampage" at Placerville Speedway on Saturday July 19th. It marks the final Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour appearance of the season at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds quarter mile. Monday July 21st begins a trio of races in Oregon all starting at the Douglas County Dirt Track in Roseburg. Tuesday July 22nd then brings the Sprint Car Challenge Tour to Coos Bay Speedway, followed by Cottage Grove Speedway on Wednesday July 23rd. A travel day with a Fan Fest/ Kick-Off Party on Thursday sets up the SCCT debut at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Washington for the two-night "Fred Brownfield 360 Nationals" presented by Bob's Burgers & Brew, highlighted by a $26,000-to-win/ $1,000-to-start main event on Saturday July 26th. With a unique format on tap at Skagit Speedway, both nights will feature show up points only in the season-long championship race. SCCT Western Sprint Tour Speedweek all comes to a climax on Sunday July 27th at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington. The "Hall of Fame 360 Battle Royale" marks the first series appearance at the track. The overall SCCT Western Sprint Tour Speedweek champion will take home $4,000 as part of an $8,000 total point fund. The runner up nets $2,500 while third place will claim $1,500. Each Shop Kyle Larson main event during Speedweek will hand out a minimum of $3,000-to-win/ $400-to-start the 24-car field. After winning the most recent event, 18-year-old Chance Grasty sits atop the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour standings heading into Speedweek. Sacramento's Austin Wood, Montana driver Cole Schroeder, Yuba City's Seth Standley and Marysville's Dawson Hammes complete the top five. Additional competitors looking to be a common sight during Speedweek will include reigning Garth Moore Insurance Rookie of the Year Braden Chiaramonte from El Cajon, two-time Skagit 360 Nationals winner Seth Bergman of Snohomish, Washington, Marysville's Carson Hammes, Elk Grove's Bubba Decaires, Modesto's Tony Gomes, Arlington, Washington's Jesse Schlotfeldt, Redding's Max Mittry, Cotati's Jake Haulot, Brentwood's Adriana Demartini, Visalia's Jett Barnes, Santa Rosa's Tyler Cato and others. - Cole Macedo wins drama filled High Limit Racing event at Fremont
FREMONT, Ohio - Most racers like to do victory donuts. Not Cole Macedo. The Lemoore, California native won his first national touring race Monday, July 14 at Fremont Speedway Presented by Gill Construction and after taking the checkers hopped the right rear of another car and flipped. But, the win against the Kubota High Limit Racing Series Roto-Rooter Midweek Series stood for Macedo, who moved to Fremont, Ohio a few years ago to pursue a career in sprint car racing. Macedo, who is vying for the rookie of the year honors with the World of Outlaws aboard the 2C racing owned by Todd and Kelly Carlile, served notice he was the car to beat on Kistler Racing Products Night. He set fast time in qualifications, then driving from fourth to his heat race win, and dominating he dash to start on the pole of the 35 lap, $12,000-to-win feature. Macedo led every lap of the A-main, though it wasn't easy as Kyle Larson pressured him the final nine laps and he had to deal with very heavy lapped traffic from lap 10 to the end. After the flip at the end of the race, the team held their breath as the car had to be lowered onto the scales by a wrecker, creating a tense few minutes before it was announced Macedo had made weight. "I thought I had lost the race when I flipped. I didn't see the checkers. This is so awesome to do this in front of the friends and family I made here…I grew up here. I love this race track. I had to really push the team to come to this race and it paid off," said Macedo beside his Outlaw Wings, Rod End Supply, Wedge High Performance Karts, Keizer Wheels backed machine. "Wayne and all the guys have been working so hard this year. We've had speed but just couldn't seal the deal. This gives me a huge burst of confidence and hopefully we can get a lot more of these national series wins," added Macedo of his 11th career win at Fremont. Rounding out the top five were Larson, Tyler Courtney, Brad Sweet and Brent Marks. Fremont Speedway will be back in action Saturday, July 26 on Pirate Invasion Night featuring the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series presented by the Baumann Auto Group 410 sprints, the Real Geese Decoys/Real Capz AFCS 305 Sprints and the Burmeister Trophy Dirt Trucks.
