- Tim Kaeding claims opening night of Trophy Cup 31 in Tulare
Tulare, CA…San Jose's Tim Kaeding picked up victory during a wild night to open Abreu Vineyards Trophy Cup 31 benefiting the Rayce Rudeen Foundation on Thursday at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare. The three-time Trophy Cup champion took the lead on lap 18 and earned his second straight triumph at Thunderbowl Raceway aboard the Williams Motorsports 0 mount. Kaeding and Oakley's Dylan Bloomfield battled tooth and nail coming down to the finish, which saw contact occur and Bloomfield unfortunately get upside down. "It is great to get another win, but I feel bad with what happened there with Dylan late in the race," Kaeding said after the feature. "I definitely didn't want it to end that way. We were racing really hard for that win, and he did a great job. I want to thank my entire team and all the people that put on this event though. Trophy Cup is a special race to a lot of people." A total of 59 cars competed on opening night of Trophy Cup 31. At the waving of the Ed Entz green flag, it was Dylan Bloomfield blasting out front from the pole position. The 18-year-old set a torrid pace early on and held the field at bay over the first half of the race. Tim Kaeding began to hound the No. 33D machine in heavy lapped traffic and as noted carved his way to the point on lap 18. Bloomfield, however, kept pace with the veteran and made it a close battle right down to the wire. With the laps ticking off Bloomfield got a great run on the leader as the crowd came to its feet. He pulled even with Kaeding and as the duo fought for the win contact ensued in turn four, resulting in Bloomfield getting upside down. Kaeding was able to keep going with nose wing damage and would lead the one lap shootout to the checkered flag. Lemoore's Gauge Garcia gave a look to the inside of Kaeding on the final restart but had to settle for a solid runner up finish aboard the Keller Motorsports No. 2K entry. Overland Park, Kansas driver Jace Park rounded out the podium to open Trophy Cup 31 at the helm of the Clayton Snow Racing No. 17 mount. It marked a career best finish at the Thunderbowl for Park. Completing the top five in the 30-lapper were Redding's Max Mittry and Washington's Trey Starks. Rounding out the top 10 in the main event were Shane Golobic, Dominic Scelzi, Landon Brooks, Bud Kaeding and Ryan Bernal. After one night of action at Trophy Cup 31 Tim Kaeding is the high points driver over Gauge Garcia and Max Mittry. Racing resumes at Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway with the second prelim on Friday night. …… Results Trophy Cup Night One Thunderbowl Raceway 360 Sprint Cars 59 Entries A Feature 1 30 Laps 1. 0-Tim Kaeding[4]; 2. 2K-Gauge Garcia[5]; 3. 17-Jace Park[3]; 4. 2XM-Max Mittry[6]; 5. 55-Trey Starks[7]; 6. 17W-Shane Golobic[8]; 7. 41-Dominic Scelzi[9]; 8. 21L-Landon Brooks[11]; 9. 29-Bud Kaeding[13]; 10. 73-Ryan Bernal[16]; 11. 21-Tanner Holmes[22]; 12. 88N-DJ Netto[12]; 13. 7C-Colby Copeland[10]; 14. 21P-Robbie Price[15]; 15. - Frank Flud Secures POWRi Stock Non-Wing Micro KKM Giveback Night One Victory
Tulsa, OK. (10/16/25) Frank Flud would fly at the front of the field in the caution-free Preliminary Night One feature event in the Eibach Racing Keith Kunz Motorsports Giveback Challenge presented by Max Papis Innovations to claim his second career victory with the POWRi Stock Non-Wing Micro League at the hosting Port City Raceway. Going through an impressive field of forty-six split-field entries on the first prelim night of the POWRi Stock Non-Wing Micro division in the KKM Giveback Challenge would find Cullen Hutchison set the quick qualifying time with a time of 10.410 seconds. Chris Andrews, Kyle Hooper, Frank Flud, Brant Woods, and Steven Snyder Jr would each emerge victorious in heat racing action, with Jeffrey Newell, Frank Flud, Cullen Hutchison, and Cole Roberts all earning wins in qualifier competitions, as Ryker Morrow and Kale Drake would gain the semi-feature win. Soaring onto the smooth Port City Raceway surface for Preliminary Night One feature racing for the Eibach Racing Keith Kunz Motorsports Giveback Challenge presented by Max Papis Innovations would see the high point qualifier Frank Flud battle outside front-row contender Chris Andrews as the green flew, with Chris Andrews holding the front of the field for the first sixteen laps. Swapping sliders on both sides of the track for the top spot would find Frank Flud wheeling against Chris Andrews as Steven Snyder Jr kept pace for the preferred position as the field battled behind the leading pack. Protecting the lead for the final fourteen revolutions, Frank Flud would go on to secure his second career POWRi Stock Non-Wing Micro victory as Steven Snyder Jr would finish in the closely contended second spot after starting fourth with early leader Chris Andrews finalizing the podium placements. "I played the long game on this one with Chris jumping out to the early lead and Steven bearing down on us the whole time. I knew I had to bide my time, keep digging, and make that slider work for the lead," said Frank Flud in victory lane. Adding, "Feels special to get a win in front of a packed house here at Port City Raceway." Driving from beginning the feature sixth, Jeffrey Newell would lock down the final lock-in spot of fourth as Cole Roberts rounded out the top five finishers in the POWRi Outlaw Micro League feature in the Preliminary Night One of the Eibach Racing Keith Kunz Motorsports Giveback Challenge presented by Max Papis Innovations at Port City Raceway. - Marks runs down Reutzel to claim Kubota High Limit Midweek win at Lucas Oil Speedway
WHEATLAND, MO. (Oct. 15, 2025) - Brent Marks made his move on lap 18 for the lead and went on to capture his fifth Kutoba High Limit Sprint feature victory of the season on Wednesday night at Lucas Oil Speedway. Marks, of Myerstown, Pa., picked up $12,000 for the victory as he beat Aaron Reutzel of Clute, Texas, by .359 seconds in the 30-lapper that wrapped the Roto-Rooter Midweek Series. It was Marks' second High Limit win in the last three events. "We've had some speed here, but had some bad luck as well," said Marks, who started fifth moved toward the front before putting himself into position to make a decisive pass. "It's just great to be standing up here." Reutzel set sail from the front as the green flag waved and grabbed the lead. He caught lapped traffic by lap six, holding an .833-second margin over Sye Lynch. The race came to a halt at that point when 22nd running Kerry Madsen flipped his car in turn two. Marks, Justin Peck and Tanner Thorson were third-through-fifth at the time with Rico Abreu sixth headed for the restart after what would be the lone stoppage in the action. Reutzel opened a one-second lead by lap 10 over Marks as Lynch slipped to third. Marks cut the deficit to a half-second by the halfway mark on lap 15 as the top two caught slower cars. That only tightened the race for the lead even more as Marks pulled to the rear of Reutzel's car on lap 17 and grabbed the lead the next time around, passing for the top spot on the outside of turn two. "I felt that was my opportunity to get by Aaron," Marks said. "His car is really good and he's a really good driver. He's not really gonna make any mistakes at all. Any time you have an opportunity like that, you have to take advantage of it and I felt like that was ours right there. "Lapped traffic was pretty thick and they were running the bottom. So was he and so was I, and I figured at some point the top has to start coming around. I decided to go ahead and try it right there. He just got bottled up enough behind a lapped car that I was able to keep that momentum and haul around him in one and two. "After that it was just about picking lapped cars off one by one, try not to make any mistakes and run a really clean race. Once I kind of got some clean air there just not really sticking to one line. Move around a little bit and let the car float to where it wanted to go and that seemed to be the best for me." Marks' lead grew to one-second by lap 22, but back came Reutzel on lap 25 to trail by just .324 seconds. Marks found his way around lapped cars and held on the rest of the way, beating Reutzel by .359 seconds at the finish, leaving the runner-up to second-guess himself. "I kept my patience a little too much," Reutzel said. "I was a little too tight early and was nervous to jump up. I was trying to use the big arc and run around the middle. I was just a little too timid to jump up there and do what Brent did. Just a little disappointed in myself, getting the car too tight and not being more aggressive. "That's two of them I've given away in the last week. I just need to clean things up and do a better job honestly." Lynch finished third with Peck fourth, Brad Sweet fifth and Abreu was sixth. That was just enough to give Abreu, of St. Helena, Calif., the Roto Rooter Midweek Championship by one point over Reutzel. Abreu also protected his lead in the season championship standings as he will take a 28-point margin over Sweet into the championship weekend, Friday and Saturday at the Texas Motor Speedway dirt track in Fort Worth. Abreu set fast qualifying time with a lap of 12.878 seconds - just off his track record of 12.829 set at the High Limit Racing Diamond Classic on June 29, 2024. Reutzel won the dash to earn the pole for the feature. High Limit coming to Hockett-McMillin in 2026: Prior to the feature, Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Casey Shuman announced that the 16th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial will join the Kubota High Limit Racing schedule next season alongside the POWRi WAR Sprints. The Hockett-McMillin is set for Sept. 17-19, 2026 for winged and non-wing sprints. - Bo Miller Completes Purchase of Ararat BullRing — Racing Continues with the Inaugural "Working Man Dirt Nationals" on October 25th
Ararat, VA — October 15, 2025 — The future of one of Southwest Virginia's favorite bullrings is secure. Bo Miller, owner of Miller Brothers Racing, has officially purchased Ararat BullRing in Ararat, Virginia. Racing will continue for the rest of the 2025 season under the continued leadership of promoter Langley Austin, beginning with a brand-new event — the Working Man Dirt Nationals, set for Saturday, October 25th. This special event will celebrate the blue-collar backbone of local racing, showcasing the Pro4, Stock4, Crown Vic, Enduro, and Vintage Racer divisions — the same grassroots racers who fill the pits and thrill the fans all season long. "I fell in love with Ararat BullRing at first sight during open practice back in April," said Bo Miller, new owner of the facility. "I wanted to help secure its future for generations to come. Don't expect a lot of changes because we love the place just the way it is, but we'll make subtle improvements and work to make the track even better for racers and fans." Miller's connection to racing runs deep. As the owner of Miller Brothers Racing, he has fielded cars for his son Carder Miller, who has competed in both regional and national dirt late model events. With Carder now focusing on his family and career, Bo is turning his attention to preserving and improving local grassroots racing for the next generation. Under Miller's ownership, Langley Austin will remain the track promoter, continuing his successful leadership that brought Ararat BullRing roaring back to life in 2025. "I've enjoyed this track first as a fan and now as its promoter," said Langley Austin. "I can't thank former owners Gary and Alesia Nester enough for allowing me to lease it for 2025, and I'm thrilled to work with Bo going forward. We put this place back on the map this season, and with Bo's ownership, we're going to make it a destination track in 2026 and beyond. His investment will help us upgrade equipment, improve facilities, and keep all the things that make this track great." Adding to the leadership team, Kimberly Austin will continue in her role as Race Director for both Ararat BullRing and Oak Level Raceway. She has earned praise for her professionalism and dedication throughout the 2025 season, helping ensure smooth race nights and fair competition for every driver. Miller also recently purchased Oak Level Raceway in Bassett, VA — a once-forgotten facility that had become overgrown and inactive. Under Miller's ownership and Austin's direction, Oak Level Raceway is being fully revived and will reopen in 2026, complementing Ararat BullRing's growing reputation as one of the region's most exciting dirt tracks. "We've come a long way at Oak Level Raceway, and Langley and his wife Kimberly have made magic happen at Ararat BullRing this season," said Miller. "We're going to step that up another notch next year. There won't be two better places to race or watch racing in 2026. We're also going to work with other area tracks — it's important that we all pull together and make the local dirt track scene stronger than it's ever been." The 2025 season at Ararat BullRing will conclude with two major events — the Stock4 World Championship and the Dirty Turkey Derby, both scheduled for November, wrapping up a landmark year for the track. Looking ahead to 2026, both Ararat BullRing and Oak Level Raceway will feature a full schedule of grassroots racing, including similar divisions and staple events that fans have already embraced — ensuring that these two venues will stand as the heartbeat of the local racing scene in Southwest Virginia. "There are bigger and nicer facilities around," said Austin, "but these two tracks are going to be the heartbeat of the local racing scene in Southwest Virginia. They'll represent everything that's right about small-town, big-passion short track racing."
