Mother Nature Takes Another Checkered Flag At Sharon Claiming The August 22 Program

(Hartford, OH)...With a high likelihood of thunderstorms from late afternoon through the evening, Sharon Speedway has made the decision to cancel Saturday night's "Open Wheel Clash" event that was to feature five divisions of Modifieds as Mother Nature takes another victory in the 97th anniversary season.

Coming up next Saturday (August 29) will be the second and final visit of the season by the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars in a $7,500 to-win event presented Capitol Renegade. The Alcon Mechanical Econo Mods and the Alcon Mechanical Crown Vics will also be in action. It's Diehl Automotive & Bucks Fabricating Night. Gates open at 5 p.m. Warmups will get underway at 6:30 p.m. followed by qualifying and racing at 7:30.

Sharon Speedway is owned by Dave Blaney, Ryan Blaney, and Will Thomas III and is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road in Hartford, Ohio near the intersection of Routes 7 & 305.
