Mechanicsburg -Less than a month remains until the J & S Classics 64th annual World of Outlaws National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3.
The two-day season finale at Williams Grove will again see the best in the sprint car business from across the nation come together at the Cumberland County oval for the prestigious race.
Saturday's 40-lap J & S Classics National Open itself will pay $75,000 to the winner.
All the excitement of the Williams Grove Speedway J & S Classics World of Outlaws National Open weekend gets underway Friday night, October 2 when round one takes to the track at 7:30 pm.
Local driver Chase Dietz is the defending champion of the Friday night Open program and the York pilot is on a tear this season, currently holding at 20 overall wins on the season.
Ohio outlaws driver Sheldon Haudenschild picked up the $75,000 Saturday payday last season.

With a pair of oval wins to his credit this year and fresh off of a win in the Summer Nationals finale at Williams Grove win in early August, World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel will be primed for his third J & S Classics National Open title this year, his most recent having come in 2017.

The weekend will also serve to crown the 2026 Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint car Williams Grove Speedway track champion.
Trying to make it back-to-back titles, Troy Wagaman Jr. of Hanover leads the standings over Dietz as the season finale looms.
