Gallatin Speedway was built in 1997 to replace the old Hub of the Valley Speedway which had been located near I-90 and was purchased by the State of Montana to put in a new interchange. Gallatin Speedway officially opened in May of 1998.

Gallatin Speedway races IMCA Sport Compacts, Wissota Street Stocks, Wissota Super Stocks, IMCA Modifieds, Wissota Late Models, ASCS Frontier Region Sprints, and Rocky Mountain Sprints.
