Three PASSCAR Titles on the Line at the 4th Annual Jerry Dodd Champions Night - Sport Compacts Return to Battle for $1,000 to Win

Perris, California — November 3, 2026 — The checkered flag is about to fall on Perris Auto Speedway's historic 30th anniversary season, but before the curtain comes down, there is some unfinished business to take care of. Three championships are still up for grabs, old rivalries will be renewed, and the return of a popular division will add even more excitement when Heimark Distributors Anheuser-Busch presents the 4th Annual Jerry Dodd Champions Night this Saturday, November 7th.

The four-division program will feature the PASSCAR Super Stocks, Street Stocks, American Factory Stocks, and the Star B Buffalo Ranch Sport Compacts. All three of the PASSCAR mains will pay a minimum of $1500.00 to win and the Sports Compact main will pay $1,000.00 to win.

Spectator gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with the first green flag scheduled to wave at 7:00. In addition to the racing, popular singer Lauren Fishback will be performing in front of the main grandstands before the races begin and will be singing the national anthem. At Intermission, there will be a dance contest for kids and t-shirts will be launched into the crowd.

Saturday's action will be the penultimate event of the track's 30th season. One week later, on November 14th, the famous Riverside County speed plant will bring its anniversary campaign to a thunderous conclusion with the final Night of Destruction of 2026.

But first, there are championships to settle, and not one of the three PASSCAR titles has been decided. With just one night remaining, every position, every point, and every mistake could make the difference between celebrating a championship and spending the winter wondering what might have been.

SUPER STOCKS - A QUARTER-CENTURY IN THE MAKING?

Perhaps the most intriguing championship storyline belongs to the Super Stocks, where two-time Perris champion Rick Arringdale of Victorville is on the verge of accomplishing something that has been 25 years in the making.

Arringdale enters Saturday's showdown with a 13-point advantage over Rancho Palos Verdes racer George Leventis. With a maximum of 23 points available to a driver who wins both his heat race and the main event, Arringdale has one arm firmly wrapped around the championship trophy.

However, Leventis is not about to roll over and hand him the hardware. He is well within striking distance, has the speed to win the main event, and would love nothing more than to spoil Arringdale's long-awaited championship celebration.

Should Arringdale seal the deal, it would be his third championship at The PAS and his first since 2001. Yes, you read that correctly — 2001! His previous crowns came in 1999 and 2001 in the track's former Stock Car division. A victory Saturday would end a quarter-century championship drought and add another remarkable chapter to his Perris racing career.

Beaumont's Steve Welch is third in the standings, 23 points behind Arringdale. Mathematically, he remains alive, but his championship hopes are hanging by the thinnest of threads. Welch would need a perfect night while both Arringdale and Leventis suffer disastrous outings. Even if Welch managed to tie Arringdale in points, Arringdale would hold the tiebreaker based on main-event victories.

Behind the championship contenders, former champion Blaine Whitson of Temecula holds fourth, followed by Glen Avon's "Hot Rod" John Caley. Both drivers have an opportunity to climb as high as third in the final standings.

STREET STOCKS - MAHONY CHASING HIS FIRST CROWN

While Arringdale is trying to add another championship trophy to his collection, Yorba Linda's Chad Mahony is attempting to claim his first.

Mahony has put together a championship-caliber season in the Street Stocks and enters Saturday's finale with a 14-point lead over a familiar name — George Leventis.

That's right, Leventis is chasing not one, but two PASSCAR championships on the same night!

Leventis is the only driver with a mathematical chance of catching Mahony, but the task will not be easy. Depending on the number of cars that show up Saturday, Mahony could have the championship locked away before the green flag even waves for the main event.

Although the championship battle is down to two drivers, there is plenty of unfinished business farther back in the standings

.

Riverside's Morgan Rowlan and Sean Estes, who happens to be Mahony's father-in-law, are third and fourth, respectively, separated by a mere four points. That should make for an interesting family conversation in the pits, especially if Estes can climb past Rowlan while his son-in-law is busy trying to wrap up the championship!

Perris racer Aaron Pack rounds out the top five heading into the finale.

AMERICAN FACTORY STOCKS - TOO CLOSE TO CALL!

If fans are looking for a championship battle that could go right down to the final lap of the final main event, the American Factory Stocks are the place to look.

Canyon Lake's David Stites is attempting to capture his third consecutive championship and fourth overall. However, standing directly in his path is Ramona's Cameron Broe, who trails the defending champion by a razor-thin two points.

Two points!

After an entire season of beating and banging, side-by-side racing, and countless laps around the Perris half-mile, just two markers separate the championship contenders.

One position on the racetrack could be the difference between hoisting the championship trophy and heading home empty-handed.

And don't forget about Menifee's Kris Carnish. The 2023 champion occupies third place, 17 points behind Stites and 15 behind Broe. While he faces a much steeper climb, Carnish is still mathematically in the hunt and could become a major factor in deciding where the championship ends up.

Veteran Lanny Savage, who also spends time entertaining Perris fans in the popular Night of Destruction events, is fourth in the standings. Nuevo's Ethan Kintop completes the top five.

Of the three PASSCAR championships to be decided Saturday, the Factory Stock battle promises to be the tightest. With Stites and Broe separated by almost nothing, don't be surprised if the title is decided in the closing laps of the main event.

SPORT COMPACTS RETURN WITH $1,000 ON THE LINE

As if three championship battles were not enough, Saturday's program will also feature the return of the Sport Compacts to Perris Auto Speedway for the first time in several years.

Organized by Ramona racer Andrew Schmitz and sponsored by Star B Buffalo Ranch, the division will be competing for a $1,000 first-place prize.

That is a mighty attractive payday for the division, and with a thousand dollars awaiting the winner, nobody should expect the competitors to take it easy.

For longtime Perris fans, the return of the Sport Compacts will provide another entertaining element to a night already loaded with championship drama.

ONE MORE NIGHT TO SETTLE THE SCORES

Saturday's Jerry Dodd Champions Night will feature plenty of emotion, intense competition, and perhaps a few surprises as the PASSCAR competitors settle their championship battles once and for all.

For some, it will be a night of celebration, trophies, and photographs in victory circle. For others, it could be a long ride home thinking about the one position or handful of points that slipped away.

One thing is certain: after Saturday night, the questions will be answered, the championships will be decided, and three drivers will have earned the right to call themselves 2026 Perris Auto Speedway champions.

The sprint car portion of Saturday's program has been canceled.

Following Saturday's championship showdown, Perris Auto Speedway will close its 30th anniversary season on November 14th with its final Night of Destruction of the year.

Adult tickets for Saturday's race are $30.00. Seniors 65 and over get in for $25.00. For students age 13-17 with their school id it is $15.00. Kids 6-12 are $10.00 and children 5 and under are free. For active military with proper id, it is $5.00. Fairgrounds parking is $20.00 (the parking fee is payable by card only).
