  Arenz etches name among Sprint Car elite with stunning High Limit victory

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 11, 2025 - No matter how many victories he might secure or championship trophies he may lift during the remainder of his racing career, June 5, 2025, will most certainly be a date neither Travis Arenz nor a legion of Sprint Car fans near and far will ever forget. Following a strong start to the 2025 Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series, Arenz checked into 141 Speedway hoping to gain experience against top-level competition in his first career entry in a Kubota High Limit Racing event for the series' debut at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. on Thursday, June 5. The 18th-year competitor left the 141 Speedway facility as the shocking winner of the $26,000 Rayce Rudeen Foundation top prize with High Limit Racing, which boasts a strong contingent of the best 410 Winged Sprint Car racers in the world. Arenz's remarkable evening opened by drawing the No. 1 pill for qualifying, which turned out to be very advantageous for the Sheboygan Falls, Wis. driver. As the track began to dry out significantly during the qualifying session, Arenz's early lap of 11.209 put him second in the final qualifying order among the 29-car field. After placing fourth in the second High Limit heat race, Arenz advanced to the dash, which set the first three rows of starters for the 35-lap main event. Arenz placed fifth in the dash to roll off fifth in the first High Limit Racing A main to ever be contested at 141 Speedway. The 2021 and 2022 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car champion bided his time in the opening laps of the A main sticking primarily to the bottom groove of the third-mile semi-banked egg-shaped clay oval bullring. On lap 12, Arenz snuck underneath Justin Peck to claim second. Following the third caution flag of the race on lap 15, Arenz dove low to power past leader Bill Balog and grab the top spot. From there, Arenz successfully endured four more caution flags and pulled out to a half-lap lead over the second-place car of Tanner Thorson on the way to his first career High Limit Racing main event victory in his first-ever attempt. The win also marked Arenz's third career 410 Sprint Car victory and his 73rd overall A-main triumph spanning 4-cylinders, Sport Mods, 360 Sprint Cars and 410 Sprint Cars. "It was a ride of emotions at 141," Arenz said. "It was a night that made history and one we will never forget. The night started great with the pill draw going in our favor. I would have been ecstatic with a top-10 finish. Who would have thought we would go out and win? I like to take advantage of competing with other series when I can to gain more experience and challenge my knowledge and driving skills. How are you going to get better if you don't challenge yourself? "This is the biggest accomplishment to date in my racing career," he said. "It's been talked about lately how the drivers on national series drive race cars for a living. Most have a set-up guy and paid crew members. My crew and I work full-time jobs. I work 50-plus hours a week, do maintenance on the cars and equipment and then go race. I also make set-up decisions and read track conditions. So, to be able to be competitive with these top teams is very rewarding. It's an honor to earn such a big win for my sponsors, crew and myself." After soaring to the highest of highs in the sport of Winged Sprint Car racing, Arenz endured some challenges during a pair of NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Series events on Friday, June 6 at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. and Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, June 7. Arenz qualified 30th overall and 15th in qualifying group B in the 39-car field with a time of 12.112 seconds at The Plymouth Dirt Track. He then placed seventh in heat race three to miss out on an A-main transfer spot by two positions. Arenz placed sixth in the 12-lap Last Chance Showdown to fall short of qualifying for the A main by a pair of spots. On Saturday, June 7, the Travis Arenz Motorsports 25T team headed southwest to the Beaver Dam Raceway where Arenz turned in the 34th fastest qualifying lap in the 36-car field in 12.139 seconds. He placed ninth in the second heat race and started 14th in the 12-lap Last Chance Showdown. After moving up to ninth on lap 6, Arenz got high in turn two and collided with the wall, which ended his night with a 14th-place showing. "At Plymouth at Beaver Dam, our drawing skills for qualifying were terrible," Arenz said. "I qualified almost last both nights and with the heavy competition, we didn't move forward as much as we needed to. There were some set-up choices I should have made differently and, unfortunately, we didn't make the features on Friday or Saturday. On Saturday, unfortunately, the wall in turn two ended our night early in the B main. I would have been interested to see what would have happened if I had been able to finish the B. In 6 laps I drove from 14th to 9th and the top four transferred to the A main. All in all, I learned so much during the weekend." Arenz will return to Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association competition on Friday, June 13 at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois and Saturday, June 14 at Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway Park in Pevely, Missouri.   Hartmann caps week with Sprint Car's best, IRA doubleheader next

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 11, 2025 - It was a week unlike any other for Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing team featuring four consecutive nights of competition with the top two Winged Sprint Car racing touring series in the nation starting Wednesday, June 4 and running through Saturday, June 7. The grueling week of competition against the nation's best drivers and teams kicked off with a Kubota High Limit Racing event on Wednesday, June 4 at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis. In his first appearance at the three-eighths-mile semi-banked clay oval, Hartmann opened the night by qualifying 20th in the 27-car field with a lap of 13.362 seconds. After finishing eighth in the second heat race, advanced to the 30-lap A main with a fourth-place showing in the 12-lap B main. Hartmann started 22nd and was running 21st when he retired from the race on lap 14 and wound up with a 22nd-place finish. From there, Hartmann headed back to more familiar surroundings for the $26,000-to-win Kubota High Limit Racing Rayce Rudeen Foundation event at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. on Thursday, June 5. The Plymouth, Wis. competitor qualified 16th in the 29-car field with a lap of 11.713 seconds before placing seventh in the first High Limit heat race to miss A-main transfer spot by one position. Hartmann lined up on the pole for the 12-lap B main with multi-discipline racing superstar Kyle Larson lining up on the outside of the front row. Hartmann exchanged slide jobs with Larson in the opening laps before falling back to end his night with a ninth-place finish. Hartmann's home track - The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. - was next up on Friday, June 6 as the team entered the first NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at the track in 20 years. The 2020 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year Award recipient qualified 37th overall in the 39-car field and 17th in qualifying group B with a lap of 12.297 seconds. He then placed ninth in the third 10-lap heat race and capped the night with a 13th-place finish in the 12-lap Last Chance Showdown.   Hartmann shakes slow start, tallies two top 10s

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 28, 2025 - After encountering a laundry list of setbacks during the early portion of the 2025 Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association campaign, Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing Team broke through in a big way to register a pair of top-10 A-main showings at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis on Saturday, May 24 and 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. on Sunday, May 25. Hartmann kicked off the Memorial Day Weekend doubleheader by timing in eighth in the 36-car field with a time of 12.558 seconds at Wilmot Raceway. After placing third from the fourth starting spot in the fourth IRA heat race, the Plymouth, Wis. driver made his first dash appearance of the 2025 IRA season. After finishing fifth in the second four-lap dash, Hartmann rolled off from the 10th starting position in the 30-lap A main. The 2020 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association Rookie of the Year Award winner ran inside the top 10 throughout the main event en route to a solid 10th-place showing. One night later, the 87A Hartmann Racing Team moved on to the 141 Speedway on Sunday, May 25 where Hartmann earned his second-career IRA fast qualifier award by topping the 30-car field with a quick lap of 12.231 seconds. Following a fourth-place showing in the first IRA heat race, Hartmann finished third in the first four-lap IRA dash to secure the fifth starting spot in the 30-lap main event. Despite challenging track conditions including a single-file, rubber-down surface in the closing stages of the race, Hartmann held strong inside the top 10 throughout the 30-lap headliner on the way to a season-best ninth-place finish for the 87A Hartmann Racing Team's second top-10 showing of the 2025 campaign.   Beaver Dam, WI - Nick Avelink was crowned King of the Supply Zone Shootout at the Glen Hefner Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway to kick off the start of the 2025 WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane. The win was Anvelink's 28th WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour victory and his second in a row at Beaver Dam Raceway. Anvelink was also the Champ Pans Fast Qualifier with a 13.657 lap. Mitch McGrath was the Ken's Sports Inc. Pole Sitter, leading the field to the green flag alongside Jordan Yaggy. McGrath led the first three laps, with Anvelink in second, as he challenged McGrath for the lead, from the top side of the track. On the fourth lap, Avenlink took the lead as they raced back to the line. Behind them, Jake Redetzke had moved to third and passed McGrath for second on lap six. Avenlink had pulled away from the pack and was approaching the tail end of the field by lap nine. Anvelnink had a 2.134 second lead on Redetzke who battled with Mike Mullen for second, as Mullen took second spot as they all worked through traffic. Avenlink maintained his lead at the halfway point and had a 3.422 second advantage over Redetzke, who took the second spot away from Mullen. Caution slowed the field with just eight laps remaining for a spin in turn four. On the restart, Anvelink retained the lead and caution slowed the field one lap later. McGrath spun in turn two, bringing out the caution and then the red flag as Paul Niznik slowed to avoid the stopped car of McGrath and then flipped as Kurt Moeller got together with Niznik. The momentum flipped Niznik in turn two, bringing out the red flag. Niznik was able to get out of his car, but it took some time to safely move the car. Anvelink jumped out to a 1.952 second lead over Redetzke, Taylor Scheffler, Yaggy and Mullen when green flag racing resumed. Anvelink went on to finish 3.213 seconds aheads of Redetzke. Scheffler finished third followed by Yaggy and Mullen. J.T. Wasmund finished sixth, followed by Justin Ritchie, Brett Swedberg, Brad Mueller and Troy Springborn.   Arenz rockets to IRA runner-up at Beaver Dam Raceway

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) April 30, 2025 - Travis Arenz opened his 18th overall season of competition and third full-time campaign with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series in stellar fashion by guiding his 25T Travis Arenz Motorsports team entry to an impressive second place showing in the Glenn Hepfner Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, April 26. The Sheboygan Falls, Wis. driver turned in a strong seventh-place qualifying run in the 29-car field with a lap of 11.812 seconds on the high-banked third-mile clay oval. The 2021 and 2022 Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car champion turned an outside front row starting position in the first 8-lap IRA heat race into his first heat race victory of the 2025 campaign. Arenz then started on the pole in the second 4-lap IRA dash before coming home second to gain the fourth starting spot in the 30-lap headliner. A wide, slick, multi-groove racing surface proved to be right in Arenz's wheelhouse as he battled among the lead group of Jake Neuman, Blake Nimee and Scotty Thiel throughout the race. After dueling back and forth with Nimee and Thiel inside the top 10, Arenz finally seized control of the runner-up spot in the closing laps and held on to nail down a second place showing behind race winner Jake Neuman. "Overall, I'm pleased with how the night went," Arenz said. "I qualified decent, won my heat race and drew the pole for the dash. That's pretty much my ideal night. I was happy with how the track progressed throughout the night. It made for good multi-lane racing for the feature. I felt like the car was really good. I can definitely see the 25T being in victory lane this season. To do that, I think I need to be a little more aggressive in traffic than I was on Saturday night."   (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) April 29, 2025 - In his first full season of 410 Sprint Car competition, Alex Pokorski crafted a smooth start to the 2025 season behind the wheel of the No. 4 Akright Auto machine at the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series Glenn Hepfner Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, April 26. The West Bend native, who recorded a runner-up showing in the 2024 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car point standings, opened the night by timing in 21st in the 29-car field with a lap of 12.110 seconds around the high banked third-mile clay oval. He then rallied in the second half of the race to advance six positions and nail down an IRA career-best 14th place A-main showing in just his fifth career 410 Sprint Car start. "It was fun to have the team back together and to be racing again," Pokorski said. "We put down a solid benchmark to try to improve upon. The team did well with getting the car set up and adjusting as the track changed throughout the night. "I'm still getting used to the 410 car, so I learned a few things," he said. "I could have done better in qualifying. When you qualify well, that makes the rest of the night easier. Hopefully, we can do that this week at Wilmot." Despite missing nine IRA events primarily due to motor issues, Arenz posted an 11th-place finish in the final 2024 IRA point standings. Don spent four years in the United States Air Force, enlisting the night of his graduation party. He was honorably discharged after four years in 1967 as an Airman First Class. Don was a Minuteman Missile electrician serving as team chief his last year and got to take part in the test firing of four Minuteman Missiles at Vandenburg Air Force Base in Lompoc, Calif. Don was based at F. E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyo. for 41 months. Don started flying in Cheyenne at the age of 19, secured his first flying job three days after his honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force at age 22 and retired at age 60. He retired as Senior Captain on the 300-passenger Airbus A 330-300 flying to London, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.   (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) April 1, 2025 - After learning the ropes of 410 Sprint Car racing throughout their first three seasons with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series, Austin Hartmann and the 87A Hartmann Racing team will fire up year four with the IRA regional touring series in a co-sanctioned twin bill with the Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA) Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. The Plymouth, Wis. driver is coming off a solid 2024 campaign which featured several highlights, including a career-best night in the seat of a Sprint Car at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. on Friday, July 19. The 2020 Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year won his first career IRA dash to claim his initial A-main pole position. The third-year 410 Sprint Car competitor topped off the memorable evening with a career-best fourth-place A-main finish. In 30 410 Sprint Car events during the 2024 season, Hartmann tallied one top five, nine top 10 and 16 top 15 A-main showings, while recording one dash victory in seven dash appearances and winning one B main on the way to finishing a career-best seventh in the final 2024 IRA point standings. Hartmann is eager to begin another full-time run with the IRA while mixing in assorted starts with the World of Outlaws, High Limit, All Stars and FAST series to round out an ambitious schedule stacked with 43 events.
