  Hartmann caps week with Sprint Car's best, IRA doubleheader next

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 11, 2025 - It was a week unlike any other for Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing team featuring four consecutive nights of competition with the top two Winged Sprint Car racing touring series in the nation starting Wednesday, June 4 and running through Saturday, June 7. The grueling week of competition against the nation's best drivers and teams kicked off with a Kubota High Limit Racing event on Wednesday, June 4 at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis. In his first appearance at the three-eighths-mile semi-banked clay oval, Hartmann opened the night by qualifying 20th in the 27-car field with a lap of 13.362 seconds. After finishing eighth in the second heat race, advanced to the 30-lap A main with a fourth-place showing in the 12-lap B main. Hartmann started 22nd and was running 21st when he retired from the race on lap 14 and wound up with a 22nd-place finish. From there, Hartmann headed back to more familiar surroundings for the $26,000-to-win Kubota High Limit Racing Rayce Rudeen Foundation event at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. on Thursday, June 5. The Plymouth, Wis. competitor qualified 16th in the 29-car field with a lap of 11.713 seconds before placing seventh in the first High Limit heat race to miss A-main transfer spot by one position. Hartmann lined up on the pole for the 12-lap B main with multi-discipline racing superstar Kyle Larson lining up on the outside of the front row. Hartmann exchanged slide jobs with Larson in the opening laps before falling back to end his night with a ninth-place finish. Hartmann's home track - The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. - was next up on Friday, June 6 as the team entered the first NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at the track in 20 years. The 2020 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year Award recipient qualified 37th overall in the 39-car field and 17th in qualifying group B with a lap of 12.297 seconds. He then placed ninth in the third 10-lap heat race and capped the night with a 13th-place finish in the 12-lap Last Chance Showdown. Hartmann closed out the four-race swing with a NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Series event at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, June 7. After turning in the 35th fastest qualifying lap in the 37-car field with a tour of the third-mile high-banked clay oval in 12.286 seconds. Hartmann then placed ninth in the third heat race before pulling the curtain on the four-race run with a 12th place showing in the Last Chance Showdown. "It was a tough weekend all around for the team," Hartmann said. "We'll regroup and get ready for this weekend's IRA races at Jacksonville and I-55."   Hartmann shakes slow start, tallies two top 10s

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 28, 2025 - After encountering a laundry list of setbacks during the early portion of the 2025 Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association campaign, Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing Team broke through in a big way to register a pair of top-10 A-main showings at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis on Saturday, May 24 and 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. on Sunday, May 25. Hartmann kicked off the Memorial Day Weekend doubleheader by timing in eighth in the 36-car field with a time of 12.558 seconds at Wilmot Raceway. After placing third from the fourth starting spot in the fourth IRA heat race, the Plymouth, Wis. driver made his first dash appearance of the 2025 IRA season. After finishing fifth in the second four-lap dash, Hartmann rolled off from the 10th starting position in the 30-lap A main. The 2020 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association Rookie of the Year Award winner ran inside the top 10 throughout the main event en route to a solid 10th-place showing. One night later, the 87A Hartmann Racing Team moved on to the 141 Speedway on Sunday, May 25 where Hartmann earned his second-career IRA fast qualifier award by topping the 30-car field with a quick lap of 12.231 seconds. Following a fourth-place showing in the first IRA heat race, Hartmann finished third in the first four-lap IRA dash to secure the fifth starting spot in the 30-lap main event. Despite challenging track conditions including a single-file, rubber-down surface in the closing stages of the race, Hartmann held strong inside the top 10 throughout the 30-lap headliner on the way to a season-best ninth-place finish for the 87A Hartmann Racing Team's second top-10 showing of the 2025 campaign. "Man, it felt good to put together a solid weekend of racing," Hartmann said. "This car belongs to be running up front, and we proved that during the weekend. My team is relentless. I couldn't be happier to give them a couple of good nights of racing. With some speed in our pocket, we're ready to tackle 'hell week' with the High Limit and World of Outlaws series as we're calling it in the state of Wisconsin. However, first up is our racing brat fry this Saturday, May 31 at Holler n Hills."   Hartmann opens door to IRA 410 season four

  (PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) April 1, 2025 - After learning the ropes of 410 Sprint Car racing throughout their first three seasons with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series, Austin Hartmann and the 87A Hartmann Racing team will fire up year four with the IRA regional touring series in a co-sanctioned twin bill with the Midwest Open Wheel Association (MOWA) Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. The Plymouth, Wis. driver is coming off a solid 2024 campaign which featured several highlights, including a career-best night in the seat of a Sprint Car at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. on Friday, July 19. The 2020 Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year won his first career IRA dash to claim his initial A-main pole position. The third-year 410 Sprint Car competitor topped off the memorable evening with a career-best fourth-place A-main finish. In 30 410 Sprint Car events during the 2024 season, Hartmann tallied one top five, nine top 10 and 16 top 15 A-main showings, while recording one dash victory in seven dash appearances and winning one B main on the way to finishing a career-best seventh in the final 2024 IRA point standings. Hartmann is eager to begin another full-time run with the IRA while mixing in assorted starts with the World of Outlaws, High Limit, All Stars and FAST series to round out an ambitious schedule stacked with 43 events.
