WHEATLAND, MO. (Aug. 29, 2026) - Nic Bidinger knew he had to win the feature and get some help for a repeat of his Arctic Food Equipment USRA Modified track championship. That's exactly what happened.
Bidinger, of Perry, Kan., led all 20 laps and, with Chase Sigg running ninth, Hodges also took home the title. It made the visit to victory lane doubly sweet on Night 2 of the Rempfer Memorial Pitts Homes and Realty Challenge Cup weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway.
"We had a good year," Bidinger said. "We kind of put ourselves behind the 8-ball early in the year with some electrical issues and missed one race. Really coming into last night I knew I had to win at least one of them and probably both of them to get the championship."
Jon Sheets also doubled up by topping off his Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA B-Mod championship with a feature victory.
Other feature winners were Todd McCoin (Hermitage Lumber Late Models), Austin Kaplan (O'Reilly USRA Stock Cars) and Terry Schultz (Hickamo Super Stocks).
Also earning season championships were Robbe Ewing (Hermitage Lumber Late Models), William Garner (O'Reilly USRA Stock Cars) and Blaine Ewing (Hickamo Super Stocks).
The Rempfer Memorial Challenge Cup weekend is named to honor Harold "Rowdy" Rempfer and his wife, Julia, who were killed in an automobile accident in 2018. Rowdy was the mayor of Wheatland and he and Julia both worked at Lucas Oil Speedway. A total of 134 cars checked into the pits on Night 2.
Bidinger was fast from the start and needed nearly every point to earn the track championship. Third-place feature finisher Dustin Hodges was unofficially 11 behind.
"It worked out really good. I had a hot rod tonight," Bidinger said. "I could move all over and do what I needed to with the car."
Friday feature winner Cole Campbell and Dustin Hodges got together and spun to bring out a caution on lap two while running second and third. That happened behind Bidinger.
Bidinger kept rolling after the restart, opening a 4.7-second lead by lap 15 over Bobby Williams. Meanwhile, Sigg, the points leader at the start of the night, continued to fade. Bidinger took he checkers 4.6 seasons clear of Williams with Hodges rallying to third from the early incident. Ryan Middaugh was fourth with Campbell fifth.
Sigg wound up ninth, leaving him 12 behind Bidinger.
Sheets cruises to B-Mod repeat: Jon Sheets of Nevada made it a sweep of the feature and season championship in the Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA B-Mods, capturing high seventh win of the season. He already had the points title clinched, but finished in style.
The fifth-starting Sheets was up to second behind Chad Clancy by lap three in a caution-plagued B-Mod main event. Those two broke away from the field once some green-flag laps could be stacked, leaving JC Morton four seconds behind in third by lap 10.
Sheets was handed the lead on lap 12 when Clancy tangled with a lapped car, bringing out another caution. Sheets never looked back after the restart - though there was one more caution on lap 18 - and beat Morton by 2.5 seconds.
"I have to thank everybody who makes this possible," Sheets said in victory lane, starting with father-in-law and car owner Kevin Morrow. "I own the helmets and the driving suits and all the rest of it is his.
"There are so many people who make it possible to double up on this deal two years in a row. I had never won a track championship until last year. I hate racing for them because I get complacent, coming to the same spot, but it's pretty fun winning a lot of races here this year."
Dawson David was third with Ryan Edde fourth and Ryan Gillmore fifth.
Garner takes Stock Cars title: Sometimes second place is good enough and that was the case for Lebanon's William Garner on Saturday night. As Austin Kaplan picked up the O'Reilly USRA Stock Cars feature, Garner clinched his second track championship.
Garner kicked off the weekend by winning the feature win on Friday to move into the points lead. He needed a solid finish to nail the title down on Night 2 of championship weekend and he got it, finishing 35 clear of runner-up Mason Beck.
"I'm happy to get this championship for my whole team and my family," Garner said. "I have to thank everybody that helps me on this thing. If it wasn't for everybody that supports me I couldn't do this."
Kaplan grabbed the lead from Mason Beck on lap five, just ahead of the race's first caution.
Garner, who started sixth, moved into fourth after the restart and further solidified his hold on a second track championship.
Up front, Kaplan checked out to a two-second lead over Jaylen Wettengel when caution flew on lap 13. As action resumed, Garner moved into second and he was a half-second behind the leader with four to go.
Kaplan, of Collins, Iowa, held on and beat Garner by one second. Wettengel was third with Grayson McKinney fourth and Darrell Hurt fifth.
It was Kaplan's 11th win of the season, but first of his career at Lucas Oil Speedway.
"It makes the long, long drive worth it. A very cool place to go love. I love watching it on TV," Kaplan said. "Last night I wasn't that good and I needed to make some changes. I guessed good."
McCoin scores first Wheatland win since 2016, Robbe Ewing repeats: Todd McCoin of Barnett, Mo., won a back-and-forth duel with Dayton Pursley over the final five laps to earn the Hermitage Lumber Late Model feature by one car length.
Robbe Ewing's fifth-place run was enough to earn the Stockton driver a repeat track championship.
"Not quite what I had planned," Ewing said of the fifth-place run. "But I just had to be good enough tonight. We'll take it. Didn't have our best stuff, but you don't always have. To end the night with a championship, that's pretty special."
Kaeden Cornell appeared to be on his way to a second feature win in two night. He opened a 3.2-second lead over JC Morton after just five laps. Morton's car lost power one lap later to bring out a caution, elevating McCoin to second and Dayton Pursley to third.
Cornell quickly rebuilt a big lead after the restart, going 3.5 seconds in front of McCoin by lap 10. But Cornell's car began to smoke heavily by lap 12 with apparent engine issues. McCoin led for one lap, but Pursley took over the top spot on lap 13.
Lap 17 saw McCoin regain the lead, then Pursley took it back the next time around before McCoin took over coming to the white flag. He was able to hold off Pursley by a car length.
It was McCoin's first win at Lucas Oil Speedway in a decade.
"I almost forgot where this place was," an emotional McCoin said upon entering victory lane. "It's been a long time since I've been here."
Tucker Cox was third with Austin Vincent fourth and Ewing fifth.
Schultz dominates as Blaine Ewing takes title in Super Stocks: Terry Schultz of Sedalia started on the pole and made it a runaway in the Hickamo Super Stocks feature. Schultz led all 20 laps to outdistance runner-up Derek Brown.
"We've had a good year," Schultz said. "We had a couple of break downs that hurt us early in the year, but we feel that we're fighting for it and able to come up in the top three or four most every night."
Meanwhile, Blaine Ewing of Green Ridge, Mo., wrapped up his first track championship with a sixth-place run.
"We've had some pretty good luck this year," Ewing said. "Not quite where we want to be tonight, but that's how it goes. There's a lot of tough competition out here."
The caution-free 20-lapper saw Tony Anglin come home third with Mike Striegel fourth and Burl Woods fifth.

Jenkins Memorial next: Coming to Lucas Oil Speedway next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 4-5, is the Iconic Apparel 12th annual Ron Jenkins Memorial Presented by Rugged Radio. The MLRA Late Models will be featured both nights as the track remembers the late Ron Jenkins, builder and owner of the original Wheatland Raceway.
Hickamo Super Stocks will join the MLRA both nights, with POWRi Midwest Mods on the Friday program and Show-Me Vintage Racers the third class on Saturday night.
