  Eddie Tafoya Jr. Looks for First 2025 Win at Perris Auto Speedway This Saturday

  Chino, CA - July 17, 2025 — Coming off his best Perris Auto Speedway finish of the 2025 season, a fifth-place result on June 21st, Eddie Tafoya Jr. will return to the Riverside County half-mile clay oval this Saturday night, July 19th. Spectator gates at the 29-year old speed plant will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first race will be at 7:00. For Tafoya, who recently celebrated his 28th birthday, it will be his fifth start of 2025 at Perris. In the first four races at the track this year, he has achieved three top-10 finishes. Besides his fifth-place showing last month, he came home eighth at the track on April 5th and was ninth in the annual Salute to Indy at the end of May. His fifth-place run last month equaled his performance at Arizona's Mohave Valley Raceway on February 22nd. The only race at Perris this year that he did not finish in the top 10 occurred on March 1st, when his belts came loose in the car, and he finished 13th. Before the 30-lap main event last month, Tafoya qualified sixth fastest in the 20 car field. He then placed fourth in his 10-lap heat race. The Chino Hills, California resident started on the pole and led the first seven laps of the main event. He ended up taking fifth after a tough battle for positions five through 10 late in the race. On Saturday, Tafoya, the 2018 Perris Auto Speedway Young Guns Sprint Car Champion and the 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year, will only be making his third July appearance at the local track since the end of Covid. In 2021, he finished third in the July race on the oval affectionately known as The PAS, and last year he was seventh. In 2022 and 2023, he spent July racing with the USAC National Sprint Car Series in the Midwest.   PASSCAR Super Stocks and Factory Stocks Join USAC/CRA Sprint Cars This Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway

  Perris, California — July 14, 2025 — Fans attending this Saturday's high-octane event at Perris Auto Speedway will get more than just the thunder of the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Joining the program on July 19th will be the track's fastest full-bodied stock car class—the PASSCAR Super Stocks—and the ever-competitive American Factory Stocks. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with racing set to begin when starter Steve Russell waves the green flag at 7:00. Due to weather-related cancellations earlier in the season, Saturday's show will mark only the third appearance of the year for the Super Stocks and the fourth for the Factory Stocks. In Super Stock action, Riverside's Tyson Talkington and Pahrump, Nevada's Tony Kinkade Jr. won the first two races of the year. Despite those victories, neither driver currently leads the championship points standings. That honor belongs to Chuck Becker of Yucaipa, a four-time PAS champion, who has finished second in both main events so far. Becker enters the weekend holding a narrow eight-point lead over a tight trio for second place: 2022 champion Talkington, Billy Simkins of Bakersfield, and 2023 champ Ricky Lee of Banning, who are all tied. Kincade Jr. trails closely behind in fifth—just one point back from the three-way tie. Last season saw a dramatic Super Stock championship finish, with Becker and Buena Park's Billy Griffin tying for the title. Griffin missed this year's opener waiting for an engine and suffered mechanical woes in round two while running with the lead pack. He enters Saturday's race 10th in points, 32 behind Becker. In the Factory Stock class, two-time champion David Stites has dominated the 2025 season so far. The daytime realtor and nighttime racer has swept all three main events and picked up one heat race win along the way. In six starts, Stites has scored an astonishing 67 out of a possible 69 points.   After Best USAC/CRA Finish of the Year at Santa Maria, Jeff Dyer Takes on Perris Auto Speedway This Saturday

  Yucca Valley, CA - July 16, 2025 — After enduring a challenging start to the season in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series, Jeff Dyer finally found some momentum two weeks ago at Santa Maria Speedway, finishing 11th in the 30-lap main event. That marked his best result of the year in the ultra-competitive 410 non-wing sprint car series. Now, the Yucca Valley-based racer hopes to improve on that finish when the series returns to its home track—Perris Auto Speedway—this Saturday night, July 21st. At Santa Maria, Dyer qualified 14th and placed fifth in his 10-lap heat race. Starting 13th in the feature, the California Highway Patrol Officer saw a spin deprive him of his first top-ten of the season. While the 410 effort ended on a high note, mechanical gremlins hampered Dyer's effort in the California Lightning Sprint Car Series that night. After qualifying fourth fastest and finishing fifth in the first heat, he lost an oil cap during the second heat race, which led to oil loss. The result was a spun bearing that ended his night prematurely. Dyer's young teammate, 16-year-old rookie Drake Cardey of Riverside, also had a rollercoaster evening. Making his debut on Santa Maria's 1/3-mile clay oval, Cardey impressed right out of the gate, qualifying second fastest. He followed that up with a third-place result in his first heat and a win in his second heat. Starting on the pole for the Lightning Sprint main, Cardey led the first 15 laps and appeared to be on his way to a breakout win. However, disaster struck entering turn three on lap 16 when his car belched smoke and coasted to a stop—another victim of engine failure. He was credited with a seventh-place finish. Following that event, Cardey headed east for a four-race Midwest tour in a 600cc non-wing micro sprint prepared by the legendary Keith Kunz Motorsports. Despite never having driven a micro before, Cardey made the A-Main all four nights against stacked national fields—winning a heat race, a B-Main, and showing remarkable speed and racecraft. Night 1: 5th place at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (MO) Night 2: From 15th to 6th at Mitchell County Fairgrounds (KS) Night 3: 7th place at Jefferson County Speedway (NE) Night 4: Charged from 13th to 4th before hitting an infield tire and breaking the steering, resulting in a 21st-place finish Despite the final night's misfortune, Cardey left a strong impression on fans and industry insiders watching via Flo Racing with his aggressive, fearless driving style.   Eddie Tafoya Jr. Matches Season-Best with 5th-Place Finish at Perris Auto Speedway

  Chino, CA - June 26, 2025 — Eddie Tafoya Jr. matched his best finish of the 2025 Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series season last Saturday night by placing fifth at Perris Auto Speedway. The strong showing marked his third consecutive top 10 finish in the prestigious 21-year-old open-wheel series. Piloting the immaculate Specialty Fasteners #51T, Tafoya set the tone early by qualifying sixth fastest against a stacked field. He backed up that performance with a fourth-place result in the third eight-lap heat race on the breezy evening. Thanks to his stellar qualifying run, the Chino Hills, California native earned the pole position for the 30-lap main event. The 2018 PAS Young Guns Champion and 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year wasted no time asserting himself, charging into the lead as starter Steve Russell waved the green flag. Tafoya, who turns 28 on July 9th, set a blistering pace and led the opening seven laps before slipping to second. As the race settled into the gritty, elbows-up action that Perris is known for, he remained in the top five and became embroiled in a fierce battle for position. His determination paid off, as he held strong to secure fifth at the checkered flag, matching his February 22nd result at Mohave Valley Raceway. While Tafoya is not chasing points in 2025, his consistency continues to impress.   Good Night with a Rough Ending for Brody Roa

  Cypress, CA - June 26, 2025 — It's not often that a race car driver crashes out of a race but still considers the night a success. That was the case for Brody Roa last Saturday night when the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars visited Perris Auto Speedway. Despite an unfortunate finish, the positives of the evening far outweighed the negatives, and the 2023 series champion is already looking forward to his next appearance at the historic Southern California oval on July 19. The race marked Roa's fourth appearance at Perris in 2025. With the same chassis he used to claim the 2023 series title and a Dash 12 engine purchased last year by his uncle, the team had been searching for the right combination through the first three races at The PAS this season. While his overall performances weren't terrible—finishing fifth, sixth, and eighth—the results weren't up to his usual standards. So, what do you do when you're searching for past successes? You return to the setup that got you there in the past. Roa and his team, led by his father Brett and crewman Joe Gibb, made some adjustments, and the improvement was evident from the start. In qualifying, Roa placed fourth with a lap time of 16.727, showing that he was on the right track. "The car was definitely better on Saturday," Roa said. "To be honest, we just went back to basics. I think the first couple of races I was so in my head, maybe about not having the horsepower we used to have. On Saturday, I said, 'This is not working. Let's just go back to basics.' And it worked. It was comfortable, carried speed, and I felt good in the car. That is what we have been striving for." "To start the year, I was trying to free the car up enough to let the engine get up and run," the second-generation driver continued. "We did not have a good balance on the car setup. We went back to stock and put a good balance on the car to what I was feeling from a few years ago. Everything started clicking again." Starting fifth in the opening eight-lap heat race, Roa, behind the wheel of his bright green #91R, made quick progress, moving up to finish fourth. This performance secured him a starting position in the first three rows of the main event, giving him an opportunity to challenge for the win. With high hopes after a strong qualifying and heat race, Roa lined up on the outside of row two for the 30-lap main. From the drop of the green flag, he wasted no time, moving into second place. By lap three, he was in the lead, charging off turn two with confidence. However, things turned sour in a hurry. "I can make excuses all day about how I got in there, but the end of the story is I got her too sideways, locked the engine up, and it didn't turn back over again," Roa commented about his early exit. "I collected Matt Mitchell in that mistake. That is not what we were looking to do. When we fired off, I ran a lap on the bottom behind Eddie (early race leader Eddie Tafoya Jr.). I hate running the bottom. I went to the top and started cleaning it off. Matt got by me for a couple of laps. I got the top comfortable and rolling and got back by him. I got outside of Eddie for the lead in one and two, and he went to the top in three and four. I went to cut back across three in four, hit some moisture in four, and got in the rough stuff, and it jumped sideways and stopped." Despite the early ending, Roa and his team are focused on refining their setup even more and building on the momentum from the positive strides made on Saturday. While the crash was disappointing, the performance up until that point showed that Roa and the team are on the verge of breaking through. "That is the speed we are used to, to be honest," he said. "Not that we were bad the first few races, but you cannot start 12th, 13th, or 14th. We put the car back to what I am used to. To put me starting sixth, seventh, eighth or ninth, you can win from there. But when you start 12th, by the time you get past some of the midpack guys, the leader is gone.   Chino, CA - June 19, 2025 — Popular sprint car racer Eddie Tafoya Jr. will return to action this Saturday night, June 21st, when the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series visits Perris Auto Speedway. The historic half-mile clay oval in Riverside County is considered the home track for both the 21-year-old series and the Chino Hills, California native. Saturday's event was originally scheduled to be Tafoya's sixth series appearance of the year at Perris. However, two events earlier in the season were canceled due to rain. That means this weekend marks just the fourth 2025 outing at the track, located less than 30 minutes from Tafoya's home. Tafoya, who drives the eye-catching #51T sprint car, recorded his best Perris finish of the year on April 5th when he placed eighth.   Sprint Cars Headline Saturday's Racing Program at Perris Auto Speedway

  PERRIS, CA (June 19, 2025) — The Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars return to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday night for what was originally scheduled to be their sixth appearance of the 2025 season. However, due to weather cancellations on February 13 and April 26, this weekend's event will mark only the fourth race for the popular series at the famous Southern California half-mile clay oval. So far in 2025, Oxnard's Ricky Lewis has dominated the USAC/CRA action at Perris, winning two of the first three main events — including the prestigious Salute to Indy over Memorial Day weekend. The only other winner this year at the track is 20-year-old David Gasper of Goleta, who captured the season opener on February 13. Lewis, who has been commuting from Indiana to compete in the series this summer, enters Saturday night with a slim 18-point lead over defending series champion R.J. Johnson of Laveen, Arizona. Gasper currently sits third in the standings, with A.J. Bender of San Diego and Austin Williams of Corona — a new father — rounding out the top five. All five are expected to be in action on Saturday. Across the full nine-race USAC/CRA season to date, only Lewis and Gasper have multiple wins.   PASSCAR Super and Street Stocks Join Sprint Cars Saturday at Perris

  PERRIS, CA (June 17, 2025) — PASSCAR Stock Car Racing returns to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday night, June 21st, when the popular Super Stocks and Street Stocks join the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars for a tripleheader show on the famous half-mile clay oval. It will mark the second appearance of the season for the Super Stocks and the third for the Street Stocks. So far this year, Mother Nature has been the biggest winner in the Super Stock class. Inclement weather has wiped out two events, making Saturday's race just the second for the division in 2025. The only appearance of the supers thus far this year came 2 ½ months ago on April 5th, when Riverside's Tyson Talkington edged out Yucaipa's Chuck Becker in a competitive 20-lap main event. Thanks to Becker's stronger performance in the preliminary heat races that night, the two drivers enter Saturday's showdown tied atop the championship point standings. Despite his impressive showing in April, Talkington—a 38-year-old father of two and the 2022 Super Stock champion at The PAS, probably will not be a factor for the title this year. He currently oversees the kids racing classes at Arizona's Mohave Valley Raceway, which sometimes has conflicts with the PAS schedule. That commitment will keep him from running a full season at Perris. "We are going to bring the Super Stock out and I am going to be doing double duty in a Street Stock on Saturday as well," Talkington said while prepping his cars on Tuesday. "I run the kids' program at Mohave, and when they race, I have to be there. Even if it is a night when I am not racing but the kids are racing, like say with the sprint cars, I have to be there." His connection to the kids' classes began when The PAS hosted the So Cal Oval Karters Club on Saturday afternoons. His daughter Sadielee turned in her first laps on the infield track in a mini dwarf car at age five. In 2022, the same year Tyson won the Super Stock title, Sadielee captured the Mohave Mini Dwarf Sportsman championship. Now nine years old, she is competing in the Mini Dwarf Masters division and currently sits second in the standings at Mohave. That gives her bragging rights over her father, who is sixth in the IMCA Modified class at the same track. A former motocross and speedway motorcycle racer, Talkington has turned into a top-notch, adaptable auto racer, driving and winning in both IMCA Modifieds and Super Stocks. Proof of that point was his winning the track championships in both classes at Mohave Valley last year. After the kids, Modifieds are now his main racing focus. "I noticed that in the modifieds, you can go to a lot more tracks to race at," he said via phone. "We got hold of one and have just been having fun with it. I love trying out different racetracks, seeing new things, and meeting different people." The racing tradition continues with the youngest member of the family, 4-year-old Brooks, who is eager to follow in his sister's tire tracks. Brooks has been practicing in a go-kart on a small dirt oval behind their home in a go-kart that belonged to a family friend. Talkington acquired one of the arrive-and-drive go-karts from California Speedway when it closed. Now he cuts laps with Brooks on the backyard oval. He thinks Brooks will debut competitively at Mohave Valley when the 2025 season resumes in September. "I just enjoy racing," Talkington answered when asked what his racing future holds. "My daughter enjoys doing it, and it is something we can do together. So, as long as we are having fun, we are going to keep doing it. I really hope that someday she steps up and we can race in the same class. She asked me the other day what would be next when her time comes and she ages out (of the mini dwarfs). I guess we will get to that point when it comes and just go from there." Currently, Talkington's shop houses five race cars: two Super Stocks, one IMCA Modified, and two IMCA Stock Cars.   Chino, CA - June 12, 2025 — Eddie Tafoya Jr. turned in another solid performance last Saturday night, recording a top-10 finish in his first Ultimate Sprint Car Series start of 2025 in the Salute to Bob Vermeer and Narcie Ferriera on the Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway. The Chino Hills, California driver, who placed third in the USCS championship standings in 2024, steered his eye-catching #51T sprint car to a hard-earned ninth-place finish in the talent-packed 30-lap main event. It was the second straight ninth-place finish dating back to the Salute to Indy at Perris Auto Speedway on Memorial Day weekend. A strong field of 33 competitors signed in for the event on the recently revamped clay oval. In qualifying, Tafoya stopped the clock at 16.888 seconds, placing him third in his group and 12th overall on the night. Lining up on the inside of row two for his eight-lap heat race, the 27-year-old racer quickly moved into second place on lap one and held the position to the checkered flag, securing a direct transfer to the A-Main. Starting ninth in the 24-car feature, Tafoya charged as high as sixth during a chaotic early stretch as drivers fiercely battled for position. Throughout the race—interrupted by four caution periods—he stayed inside the top 10 and ultimately finished ninth. The performance marked his fourth top-10 result in the past seven races.   Popular LKQ Pick Your Part Night of Destruction Returns to Perris Saturday

  PERRIS, CA (June 10, 2025) — The "Craziest Show on Dirt" roars back into action this Saturday night, June 14th, as the wildly popular Night of Destruction, presented by LKQ Pick Your Part, returns to Perris Auto Speedway. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the smashing, crashing mayhem begins at 7:00. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the on-track autograph and candy giveaway session with all the drivers from 5:15 to 6:00 p.m.. Figure 8 Title Battle Heats Up A can't-miss matchup awaits in the Figure 8 division, where longtime rivals Earl Cox Jr. of Norco and Jesse Gordon of Beaumont will clash once again. Over the nine years The PAS has tracked Figure 8 points, Cox has claimed four championships, while Gordon has earned three. The only other champions in that time are Klint Keenan (2016) and Roger Storey (2022). Cox, the inaugural champ in 2015, has also won titles in 2021, 2023, and 2024.   "Shugah" Shane Sexton Makes First Lightning Sprint Start of 2025 at Barona this Saturday

  Warner Springs, CA — Warner Springs racer "Shugah" Shane Sexton will return to his racing roots this Saturday night, June 7th, when he straps back into a SoCal Lightning Sprint Car for the first time in 2025 at Barona Speedway. Sexton, who honed his skills racing mini dwarfs and Pintos on the San Diego County clay oval, will be making his season debut in a division he's long been competitive in. "Barona is where it all started for me," Sexton said. "Every time I go back, it feels like home. I'm really looking forward to getting back in a lightning sprint and seeing what we can do." Saturday's event marks Sexton's return to the quarter-mile oval where he competed five times in Lightning Sprints in 2024. Despite racing in less than half the SoCal Lightning Sprint Car Series (SCLS) schedule, he finished an impressive ninth in the championship standings. In those five starts, he never finished outside the top 10 and secured four top five results, including a pair of runner-up finishes to close out the season. "We had a strong finish to last year," Sexton said. "The car was really good, and I felt more comfortable every time out. Hopefully, we can pick up where we left off." A proven talent in Lightning Sprints, Sexton's standout year came in 2022. He captured preliminary wins at two of the division's marquee events—the Clay Cup in Deming, Washington, and the Cal Cup at Lemoore Raceway in Central California. That same season, he also placed second in a feature at Central Missouri Speedway. "Those wins in 2022 were a huge confidence boost," he reflected. "Lightning sprints are super competitive, and when you win at races like the Clay Cup or Cal Cup, it really means something." Saturday will be Sexton's fourth overall race of the 2025 season. His previous three outings have come in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series at Perris Auto Speedway. Each time, the 20-something wheelman has improved on his starting position in the 30-lap mains. Most recently, he charged from 21st to 15th in the prestigious Salute to Indy on May 24th—his best finish so far this year in 410 sprint car competition. "Running with USAC/CRA is helping me grow as a driver," Sexton stated. "It's tough competition every night, and that kind of seat time helps me no matter what kind of car I'm in."   Brody Roa Finishes Eighth in Salute to Indy at Perris

  Cypress, CA - May 30, 2025 - Veteran sprint car driver Brody Roa piloted his bright green #91R to an eighth place finish last Saturday night in the USAC/CRA Salute to Indy at Perris Auto Speedway. The result marked his fourth top 10 finish in five starts this season, reinforcing a consistent and competitive start to his 2025 campaign. Roa was one of 22 USAC/CRA drivers who converged on the famed Southern California half-mile clay oval for one of the most prestigious and longest running sprint car races in the country. He qualified 12th quickest on a mild West Coast evening, setting the stage for a solid night of racing. Originally scheduled to appear on September 6th, the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars have been rescheduled to join the World of Outlaws event the following week. The September 6th date is now a TBA, with updates expected soon. "We are pleased to add the USAC/CRA Sprint Cars to the World of Outlaws show," said Kazarian. "It will supply fans with two of the best forms of dirt track racing—the fastest dirt track sprint cars in the world and the thrilling, back-it-in style of the USAC/CRA Series." The September 13th show will mark the 23rd World of Outlaws appearance at Perris, dating back to Mark Kinser's win on November 1, 1996. The series last visited the Riverside County half mile on March 26, 2022, with David Gravel taking the victory. Introduced in 2013, the classes have seen steadily decreasing car counts. This season, the Senior Sprints fielded five cars on opening night and only four on each of the following two events. The Young Guns started the year with one entry on opening night. At the second race, only two Young Guns entered, and none showed up last Saturday.   May 27, 2025 - Chino, CA — Eddie Tafoya Jr. secured a ninth-place finish in the 30-lap Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Salute to Indy on Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway. The result marked Tafoya's second consecutive ninth-place showing in the historic race, first contested in 1948. The 27-year-old driver from Chino Hills, California, turned in a qualifying lap of 16.679, placing him 11th out of a 22-car field at the West Coast's premier half-mile clay oval. Lining up on the inside of row two in the Silberman Solar/Factory Wraps second heat race, Tafoya navigated one of the evening's wildest preliminaries to claim a decisive victory in the 10-lap event—his first USAC/CRA heat race win of the 2025 season. Starting 11th in the main event, Tafoya advanced a couple of positions forward to finish ninth. The result marks his third top-10 finish in six USAC/CRA appearances so far this year. It also nearly matched his career-best Salute to Indy finish of eighth. That result came in the 2022 Salute to Indy. That's right — Matt Mitchell is making his highly anticipated 2025 season debut at the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Salute to Indy this Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., with racing action roaring to life at 7:00 p.m. Fans arriving early can enjoy Happy Hour from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., featuring half-price Budweiser beer and two-for-one Pepsis. The Salute to Indy is one of the most storied and prestigious events in sprint car racing history, dating all the way back to 1948. Over the decades, it has become a cornerstone of the original CRA Series, SCRA, and now the USAC/CRA. Mitchell, a Costa Mesa, California resident, is no stranger to this iconic race. He began his career as a child in quarter midgets at the now-defunct track near Second Street and East End in Pomona. Later progressing through micros and midgets before finding his home in sprint cars. The 2014 USAC Western 360 Sprint Car Champion has tallied 10 career USAC/CRA wins, nine of which came at Perris — including three victories in the Salute to Indy (2011, 2013, and 2024). Mitchell joins an elite list of multiple-time Salute to Indy winners. Dean Thompson leads the all-time list with six wins, followed by Bubby Jones with five, and Billy Wilkerson and Damion Gardner with four each. However, historians often note that in certain years — particularly from 1978 to 1983 at Ascot — multiple Salutes were held in a single season. Two times in 1978, 1981 and 1983 and three times in 1980. Thompson claimed all six of his "Salute" wins during that period, and Jones captured three of his five. "That is why I figured to pick this race (because it is the Salute to Indy)," Mitchell laughed when asked why he is coming back now. "It was ready when we put it away (last year)," Mitchell confirmed. "Ever since I started racing again in 2019, the cars have been kept with someone else. Now they are back in my shop. It is fun having everything back in my shop. I wish I was racing a little bit more, but it is just where I am at right now in life." The devoted father and his wife, Lauren, have been focused on raising their three young sons — Caysen, Baker, and Lane — and supporting their budding athletic pursuits. Racing may be in Mitchell's blood, but family comes first. "I have just been with my kids," he said. "Baseball fields. They all play baseball, basketball, and football. It just depends on what season it is. They are always so busy with sports. There is always somewhere to go. They love it and they are good at it, too. That's what they want to do.   PASSCAR Street & Factory Stocks Join Sprint Cars for the Salute to Indy at Perris Auto Speedway

  May 19, 2025, PERRIS, CA — The engines will thunder once more at Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday, May 24th, as the iconic Southern California dirt track hosts one of the longest-running sprint car events in the nation — the Annual Salute to Indy, featuring the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. In addition to the top-tier wingless warriors, will be the PASSCAR Street Stocks, American Factory Stocks, and the PAS Senior and Young Gun Sprint Cars. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the green flag will drop on racing at 7:00 p.m.. Fans arriving early can take advantage of special drink deals from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., with half-price Budweiser beers and two-for-one Pepsis. PASSCAR STREET STOCKS: A Tight Points Battle Saturday marks just the second outing of the season for the PASSCAR Street Stocks after weather delays earlier in the year. Shawn Estes of Riverside claimed victory in the March 1st season opener, with fellow Riverside driver Chad Mahony finishing second. George Leventis of Rancho Palos Verdes crossed the line in third and enters this weekend just two points behind Estes in the standings, thanks to a better heat race performance than Mahony, who currently sits third overall. Veteran Tim "Shaggy" Shadduck of Hemet and Riverside's Evan Sennett, a native of Ohio, round out the current top five in points. AMERICAN FACTORY STOCKS: Stites on a Streak The Factory Stocks are the only PASSCAR division to have run twice this season. David Stites of Canyon Lake has dominated both events, taking the main event win each time and holding a four-point lead over James Keller of Jurupa Valley. Keller, with second- and third-place finishes, is closely followed by Andrew Schmitz of Ramona, who mirrors Keller's results and sits third in points. Cameron Broe (Ramona) and Lanny Savage (Colton) complete the top five in the championship standings. PAS SENIOR & YOUNG GUN SPRINTS: Leaders Emerge In the Senior Sprints, Kevin Poynter (Mission Viejo) and Greg Badgwell (Yorba Linda) are deadlocked at the top of the points leaderboard. The Young Guns division has seen Jake McKee (Redlands) and Andrew Heard (Victorville) grab wins this year. However, McKee will sit out this round after suffering a fractured vertebrae in a flip during the April 5th main.
