- Last-Bend Heroics Net Brody Roa His Best Finish of 2025
Cypress, CA - October 2, 2025 — Brody Roa's strong season hit a new high last Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway, where a dramatic last-lap pass in turn three secured him a season-best third-place finish in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series. Now, the "Pride of Garden Grove" is aiming two spots higher when USAC/CRA rolls into Arizona's Mohave Valley Raceway this Saturday, October 4th. At Perris — the long-standing home of USAC/CRA since its debut in 2004 — Roa qualified ninth quick in the 16-car field. Lining up outside the front row in his heat, he left no doubt, charging to a dominant win. The 10-lap triumph was his fourth heat race victory of 2025, tying him for second-most on the season despite running a part-time schedule. In the 30-lap feature on the famous Riverside County half-mile, Roa lined up ninth and immediately began his march forward. Tom Malcolm was making similar progress, and the two wound up in a thrilling nose-to-tail battle inside the top five. With Malcolm holding third and Roa glued to his tail tank, the laps ticked away in a tense duel for the podium. Time was running out until Roa seized his chance — diving low into turn three on the final lap, sliding past Malcolm, and beating him back to the stripe for third. It was a fitting exclamation point on one of the most exciting drives of his 2025 campaign. "I am really confident racing with Tommy," Roa said of the battle for third. "We duked it out all year in 2023. It was mainly him and I racing for wins that year. I had a lot of fun racing with him on Saturday. It took me back to that year a bit. I don't think, even back in 2023, that we even touched a wheel. I know he is going to race me clean. So, I am going to race him clean and we race each other hard." The 34-year-old was very pleased with the result and with the performance of his Dash 12 engine. "I think we are getting closer," Roa responded about getting the Dash 12 all figured out. "Honestly, the hardest thing I have come to learn is the horsepower we have. I have had to race harder (this year) to try and win races than I had to over the past 10 years. That is fun for me. It is challenging. I have to really hustle this race car to have a good night. I look forward to showing up with it." Roa has raced 10 times in 2025. Seven of the 10 have been at Perris. He is looking forward to racing at Mohave this week. "Honestly, it is probably one of my favorite race tracks out here in the west," the Garden Grove, California driver enthused. "Of all the places we race with CRA, it is probably my favorite race track on the schedule. It suits my style a bit. It is slick, it doesn't have grip, it is dusty. If there is moisture on the racetrack, it is not gooey, sticky. A race track that gets really sticky when it has moisture in it is not my style. I like stuff that is more sandy, and you can slide around on it, and you have to be more precise with your lines. I have really liked Mohave Valley Raceway since the first time we showed up. It is fun to race on, and for the size and layout, it is pretty racy, too." "I think we will have a little bit more of an even playing field with this engine at Mohave," Roa continued. "The last time I was there, Jake Helsel, in Bobby Ream's car, led most of the race with a 360. I think that is what is the most exciting part of what we have now (The Dash 360). Mohave is a track where it does not take a thousand horsepower to win." To see Roa live at Mohave Valley Raceway, gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00. Adult admission is $25.00, kids 6-12 are $15.00, and children 5 and under are free. Tickets are cash only at the gate (no ATMs onsite). Concessions, souvenirs, and the beer garden accept cash and cards. For more details, visit mohavevalleyraceway.com or call (928) 346-6000. - After a 3rd Place at Ventura, Brent Sexton Heads to Mohave Valley Raceway
Lakeside, CA — October 1, 2025 — After a week of R&R at the river, Sexton Gatlin Racing is gearing up for Arizona's Mohave Valley Raceway this Saturday night, October 4th, as the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series continues. The outing comes just two weeks after Brent Sexton scored a career-best full-size sprint car third-place finish in the Ultimate Sprint Car Series at Ventura Raceway. The night at Ventura began with qualifying, when 21-year-old SGR driver Grant Sexton clicked off a 12.748 lap, good for fourth in his group. With the track slowing down, only one car in the final two groups bested his mark, giving him the sixth-fastest time overall. Brent, qualifying in the final group, clocked a 13.180 lap—second in his group but only 11th overall. In preliminary action, Grant started and finished fourth in his heat, while Brent advanced from second to third in his. That set the stage for the 30-lap feature, with Grant rolling off seventh and Brent from ninth. The early laps saw little change, though Grant climbed to challenge for fifth just past halfway. Then came disaster: the two cars in front of him tangled, with one flipping and landing on Grant's machine. The damage ended his night early, leaving him with a frustrating 17th-place finish. Meanwhile, Brent narrowly avoided a first-turn incident on lap one and went to work. Restarting sixth after Grant's misfortune, he steadily picked off cars. By the white flag, he was up to third. A late yellow set up a green-white-checkered finish, and Brent dove low to briefly challenge for second. Twice he nosed ahead, but the runner-up of most of the race reclaimed the inside line on the final turn, forcing Brent to settle for a hard-fought third. The result was Brent's best full-size sprint car finish of 2025, topping his previous best of fifth at Ocean Speedway in March. This week's return to Mohave Valley brings back fond memories for the team. In what many consider Brent's finest lightning sprint victory, in October 2022, he rebounded from an off-track excursion to steal the lead on the final lap. Coming off turn four to a roaring crowd, he edged ahead at the line by a car length, with SGR teammates AJ Bender and Dalton Sexton close behind in second and third. Gates at Mohave Valley Raceway open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00. Adult admission is $25, kids 6-12 are $15, and children 5 and under are free. Tickets are cash only at the gate (no ATMs onsite). Concessions, souvenirs, and the beer garden accept cash and cards. For more details, visit mohavevalleyraceway.com or call (928) 346-6000. - Jeff Dyer Excited to Return to Action in His USAC/CRA 410 Sprint Car This Saturday at Perris
Yucca Valley, CA — September 25, 2025 — Just when Jeff Dyer thought his 410 season in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series was over for 2025, it will continue this Saturday, September 27th. Last month, the California Highway Patrol officer withdrew from the CRA main event at The PAS with five laps remaining, believing his engine was done for good. Fortunately, when Dyer, a Yucca Valley, California resident, examined the engine, he found no damage. As a result, he will be at the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval this Saturday. The discovery was a welcome relief in a season marked by multiple engine issues for the affable driver. "It is very frustrating," Dyer said of the mechanical woes he has encountered this season. "You put a lot of time and effort into this stuff. It takes the fun out of it because you go to the track and think, 'What else can go wrong?' You put your heart and soul into it, and the results don't show it. If you are not finishing races, it is flat-out embarrassing." Two weeks ago, Dyer hit the track twice in 24 hours with the Motor City Buick/GMC California Lightning Sprints, competing at both Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway and Merced Speedway. In addition, he made his midget racing debut at Merced. Overall, it was a strong weekend for Dyer, with second-place finishes in both CLS races and an eighth-place result in the USAC Western States Midget main event. "It is frustrating," Dyer lamented about finishing second two nights in a row. "At Kern, Bobby was just better than us. He had the car to beat. At Merced, I felt we were just too equal. Every time we caught lapped traffic, the yellow came out. I actually got by him in lapped traffic when the first yellow came out. It was frustrating as we were just equal. We needed one more factor to get involved and make it a great race." "I don't like losing but losing to Bobby with all the bad luck he has had, especially his health, it was a little easier," Dyer continued. "It is good to have him back out racing with us again and seeing him get back to his old form." The midget racing opportunity came together when Dyer received a call from Kelly Nichols, asking if he'd be interested in driving the Nichols/Peckfelder #2ND at Merced. He eagerly accepted the offer and was pleased with his performance. Dyer qualified 12th out of 15 cars and started the main event from the outside of the sixth row. He kept a clean race, advancing four positions to finish in 8th place, a result he was happy with. "It was different for sure," Dyer said when asked about the difference in driving a midget and his lightning sprint and USAC/CRA car. " I didn't really know what to expect of the car, having never driven one before. I thoroughly enjoyed it. We were decent right out of the box. We were underpowered compared to the rest of the cars, but we ended up doing okay. I think we finished eighth after starting 12th. I hope I get to drive it again. He wanted me to go again on the following weekend, but I had to work. Work comes first." Dyer's teammate, 16-year-old Drake Cardey of Riverside, California, also competed in the two CLS races. The young driver's impressive rookie season continued with a fifth-place finish in both main events. Heading into the final three races of the year, he sits second in the CLS points standings, just 99 markers out of first. Additionally, he finished third in the CLS vs. BCRA Civil War points. Earlier this year, he placed second in the two-race Central California Showdown. He also leads the Rookie of the Year standings by 103 points as the season enters the home stretch. "He has had a great season and had a good weekend," Dyer said of Cardey. "We had some battles in the heat races and the main. People forget, this is his first year in a full-size racecar. He made some rookie mistakes that cost him podium finishes each day, but he is still progressing and doing very well." For fans who want to see Dyer in action on Saturday night, spectator gates at Perris Auto Speedway will open at 5:00 PM, and the first race will take the green flag at 7:00. Tickets for those 13 years of age and older are $35.00. Seniors 65 and over get in for $30.00. For kids six to 12 it is $10.00, and children five and under are admitted free. Advance tickets are available online at tix.com. There will be plenty of walk-up tickets available for everyone at the track ticket booths on Saturday. Fairgrounds parking is $20.00 (parking fee is payable by card only). Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Paris Drive in the City of Perris. The track website is perrisautospeedway.com, and the office phone number is 951-940-0134. Cardey's California Lightning Sprint Car is sponsored by Eibach Springs, Cardey Construction, Inland Rigging, Jake Swanson Shock Technology, Last Lap Insider, and Dylan Godeniz Motorsports. - Eddie Tafoya Jr. Heads Back to Perris After Season-Best Run
Chino Hills, CA — September 25, 2025 — Fresh off his best outing of the season, Eddie Tafoya Jr. will be back in action this Saturday, September 27th, when Perris Auto Speedway hosts the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Two weeks ago, Tafoya charged from deep in the field to finish fourth and captured the "In Memory of Jim and Chet Gardner Hard Charger Award" for passing more cars than any other driver on the famous half-mile oval. The 27-year-old Chino Hills, California racer entered that race on the heels of another strong fourth-place finish when the Ultimate Sprint Car Series visited Petaluma Speedway in the Bay Area on September 1st. Tafoya, the 2018 Perris Auto Speedway Young Guns champion, opened his most recent PAS appearance by qualifying 13th in the 21-car field with a lap of 17.441 seconds. He then advanced to fourth in his heat race. In the 30-lap main event, the 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year lined up on the inside of the seventh row in 13th. To make things more challenging, the World of Outlaws winged feature was moved ahead of the USAC/CRA finale at the last minute, creating a slicker surface and making passing more difficult for most of the non-wing competitors. However, that was not the case for Tafoya in his sharp-looking #51T. The second-generation driver sliced through the field, picking off 13 cars and taking the checkered flag in fourth. His charge forward may have been even greater if he had not run out of laps. Fans who want to see Tafoya in person on Saturday can find complete race details below. Event Info: Date: Saturday, September 27, 2025 Location: Perris Auto Speedway, 18700 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, CA Times: Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00. - Brody Roa Is Ready to Pass More Cars Saturday at The PAS
Cypress, CA - September 24, 2025 — When it comes to spotting a driver charge through the field at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday night, when the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series visits, fans can easily find the bright green #91R of Brody Roa. In six starts on the Riverside County clay oval this season, Roa has advanced his position in five of them. The lone exception came on June 21st when a crash took him out of the main event while battling for the lead. In the five races he has completed, the 34-year-old from Garden Grove, California, has an average starting spot of 11.4. He has only started 10th or better two times. His average finish is 6.6, and he has gained a total of 26 positions for an average of 5.2 spots gained per race. While known as a top star, Roa has never been known for his qualifying. However, he has earned nine Woodland Auto Display Fast Time awards during his USAC/CRA career. His first fast time came at the Santa Maria Speedway on June 6, 2014, and his last was at the Mohave Valley Raceway on May 6, 2023. He has outqualified the field at Perris on four occasions. The last of those was on August 21st, 2021. This year, he is competing with a Dash 12 engine, giving up some horsepower to his rivals. His average qualifying spot at Perris is 10.33, which means he is starting mid-pack in most of the 30-lap main events. However, the 2023 series champion makes up for it with racing savvy and his ability to slice through traffic. "It is something that is a trend," Roa said. "When we do qualify bad, we do not let it mess up our night now. It is what it is. We just look at each other and say, 'let's go racing.' It is always something I have kind of dealt with. I am stuck in that qualifying problem until the end of time I think." Starting in the middle of the field, Roa and his crew have decisions to make, including on whether to set the car up for early or late track conditions. "I would kind of like to say both," Roa answered on how the team sets his car up for the main when he is coming from mid-pack. "I guess more for the beginning of the race. I like to make our car maneuverable. At the beginning, with traffic, you can probably not get up and bang the cushion too hard with cars in the way in front of you. I run everything, maybe a little freer to start. Just to be able to turn back across the track, to hit some slick, and to hit something off the bottom. Just to be able to move around the track. Once you get up to the guys toward the top five, then you adjust the thing to where you need to be." "Perris this year has been different from visit to visit," he continued. I don't know if that is a factor of me running just once a month and not being super sharp on it right off the bat. That last race at Perris, with the Outlaws, kind of threw me for a loop for a little bit in the feature. I thought we would be able to get up and run around the curb. But the thing was so big, and it was slick, too. It took longer for the non-wing cars to get up there." "Honestly, with this DRC that we got a couple of years ago, I just show up to the track the exact same way every time," Roa boasted. "That was what we did all through 2023 (when he won the championship). It did not really matter what track we went to or what the conditions were. We adjusted the tire pressure a little to start the night, but the basic car setup was the same everywhere." The last time out at Perris two weeks ago, he qualified 14th, finished second in his eight-lap heat race, and started 14th in the A main. He steered forward six positions to finish eighth. Fans can see Roa and all of the other stars in action this Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., with racing at 7:00. Tickets for those 13 and over are $35.00. For kids 6-12, it is only $10.00, and children 5 and under are free. Fairgrounds parking, which is only payable with a card, is $20.00. Advance tickets are available at tix.com, and walk-up tickets will also be available at the track ticket window on Saturday. Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in the city of Perris. For more information, please visit perrisautospeedway.com or call (951) 940-0134. Roa would like to thank his 2025 sponsors, "Biker" Bruce Fischer, Burris Racing, ALR Virtual Services, Caltrol, Molecule, and Wilwood Disc Brakes. - PASSCAR Super Stocks and American Factory Stocks Join Sprint Cars Saturday at Perris
Perris, California — September 23, 2025 — Perris Auto Speedway will close out the month of September this Saturday, September 27, when Heimark Distributors Anheuser Busch presents the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Joining the fastest traditional sprint cars west of the Mississippi will be the PASSCAR Super Stocks and American Factory Stocks. In addition, the beautiful WRA vintage cars will also take to the track. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., with the first race scheduled for 7:00. While the season is winding down for the fender-and-door divisions, championships in both classes remain undecided. In the American Factory Stocks, Canyon Lake's David Stites is chasing his third PAS title. A graduate of the track's popular Night of Destruction, Stites moved into Factory Stocks in 2022 and immediately won the championship. He backed it up with a second crown last season. 491960764_30457453107178921_4197887850601234033_n.jpg David Stites inside and James Keller fighting for the lead at The PAS. Kenny Lonngren photo. Heading into Saturday, Stites — a realtor by day — holds a slim 10-point advantage over Oak Hills driver James Keller. Ramona's Cameron Broe, competing in his first full season at The PAS, sits third, 16 points out of the lead. Menifee's Kris Carnish, the 2023 champion, ranks fourth, with Colton's Lanny Savage in fifth. Adding to the challenge for the competition, Stites has been unbeatable this year, sweeping the first four races. As usual, he patiently works his way through the field before pulling away once he takes command. Keller, meanwhile, has been consistent enough to be a champion most seasons if not for Stites' perfect run. He opened with a runner-up finish and has since placed third twice and fourth once, never finishing outside the top four. In Super Stocks, the championship fight is loaded with experience. The top six drivers in the standings have combined for 13 track titles between Super Stocks and Modifieds. Point leader Chuck Becker of Yucaipa, a four-time PAS champion, holds a 12-point edge over Banning's Ricky Lee, the 2023 champion. Third-place Rick Arringdale of Victorville owns two PAS stock car titles from 1999 and 2001. Fifth-place Billy Griffin of Buena Park has five track championships, while Riverside's Tyson Talkington, currently sixth, captured the 2022 Super Stock title. Beaumont's Steven Welch, in fourth, is chasing his first PAS crown. 534828880_31673829582207928_7835654885597773178_n.jpg Chuck Becker at speed at Perris Auto Speedway. Kenny Lonngren photo. Much like Stites in the Factory Stocks, Becker has been remarkably consistent in 2025 — though in a different way. He has finished second in all four Super Stock races. While those results have him leading the points, Becker admits runner-up is not his ultimate goal, even if he's content with the consistency. "In the big picture, it is not frustrating," Becker said of finishing second all season long. "Just for the fact, we have been in every race and been competitive. In the first race I had the lead three times. We were going back and forth and I did not lead on the correct lap. Racing for a championship, sometimes you have to give them an extra six inches or so to salvage the car and get through the season." "Sometimes some of the guys get a little crazy," Becker responded when asked about trying to stay out of trouble. "Half of the game is just missing the wrecks." "Bergerson's Heating and Air, Toyota of Redlands, Huss Trucking, Stock All Services, Carpet Station, Innovative RV, Unlimited Landscape, Rebel Signs, BRT Racing Engines, PRE 2.0 and Ed Moore Driveline," are the marketing partners the third generation pointed out. "They all play a part. Them, along with all the time we spend in the shop, is why we do so good." Saturday's tickets are $35.00 for those 13 years old and over. Kids (6-12) get in for $10.00. Children 5 and under are free. Parking on the fairgrounds is $20 (card only for parking). Advance tickets are available at tix.com, but plenty of walk-up tickets will also be available at the gate. Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds, 18700 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, California. On-site camping is available for $25 per night beginning at noon on Fridays. - USAC/CRA SPRINT CARS RUMBLE AT PERRIS SATURDAY
With fifteen points between defending champion R.J. Johnson and Ricky Lewis, the battle for the Avanti Windows & Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Championship will resume this Saturday, September 27th at Perris Auto Speedway.
- The Craziest Show on Dirt, LKQ Pick Your Part Night of Destruction, Returns to Perris Auto Speedway This Saturday
Perris, California — September 16, 2025 — After what many fans are calling the wildest LKQ Pick Your Part Night of Destruction ever three weeks ago, the crash-'em-up, tear-'em-up, rip-'em-up madness returns to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday night, September 20th. The evening of family fun will feature Figure 8 racing, a Figure 8 Trailer race, Mini Stocks on the road course, Democross, and of course, the ever-popular Double Deckers. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the first crash will take place at approximately at 7:02. "It was hard to believe what we were seeing at the last Night of Destruction," promoter Don Kazarian said. "It was so wild you didn't know where to look, because crashes were happening all over the track at the same time." The wildest moment of the night came in the Democross Main Event. As the checkered flag flew, Alex Kiss of Riverside—driving his Dale Earnhardt Jr. tribute SUV—ended up perched on top of a boat, which was sitting on top of a giant tractor tire right at the start/finish line. The packed crowd roared as Kiss climbed out and celebrated by dancing on top of his #8 machine. "When you come to Night of Destruction, you know you're going to see crazy things," Kazarian added. "But an SUV on top of a boat that was on top of a tire? That was unbelievable. And just when you think these drivers can't top what you've seen, they go out and do it. I don't know how, but I'm sure they'll top it again. Maybe this Saturday." With three events left in the 2025 season, championship battles are heating up. The tightest point races are in Demo Cross and Mini Stocks. In Demo Cross, Corona's Brett Wayland holds a slim nine-point lead over two-time defending champion Trebor Stephens of San Jacinto. That's the same margin Lake Elsinore's Steven Green Sr., the defending Mini Stock champion, has over his son, Steven Green Jr. In the other divisions, Beaumont's Jesse Gordon, a three-time Figure 8 champion, leads four-time champ Earl Cox of Norco by 18 points. In Figure 8 Trailer competition, Lane Hoffarth of San Jacinto has a 33-point cushion over his son Kyle. In the Double Deckers, Lonnie and Cale Skillman, piloting the "Bug Ya' Later," are aiming for their second straight title, with an 18-point lead over "Ghost Busters" drivers John Flowers and Kevin Sauceda. In the overall Iron Man standings—combining points from all classes—Orange's Rob Multhaupt has a commanding 168-point lead over Lane Hoffarth. Kyle Hoffarth sits third, followed by Riverside's Austin Kinnane and Gordon. Fans are encouraged to arrive early for the expanded on-track autograph, photo, and candy giveaway session with all drivers and cars from 5:15-6:00 p.m. Tickets: Adults (13 & up) $25. Kids (6-12) $10. Children 5 and under are free. Parking on the fairgrounds is $20 (card only). - Brody Roa Ready for Saturday's So Cal Showdown at Perris Auto Speedway
Cypress, CA - September 12, 2025 — Fresh off a season-best USAC/CRA fourth-place finish at Perris Auto Speedway on August 16, Southern California sprint car standout Brody Roa is set for battle in tomorrow night's So Cal Showdown. The popular Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will share the stage with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars on the famous half-mile clay oval. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., with racing at 7:00. The last time the Outlaws and USAC/CRA teams combined for a doubleheader at The PAS, Roa was actually on the other side of the fence—competing with the Outlaws in 2022. That season, he and his team put together a "fun-first" schedule, which included a handful of winged sprint car races. Roa's winged journey kicked off on February 26, 2022, with a King of Thunder event at Hanford, where he scored a solid ninth-place finish in the A-main. A month later, he faced the Outlaws for the first time at Bakersfield Speedway, finishing ninth in the B-main. The very next night, he rolled into Perris to take on the Outlaws again. After finishing ninth in his heat, Roa started seventh in the B-main, needing to crack the top six to transfer. With one of the largest crowds in track history cheering him on, he reeled in the final transfer spot, made the pass, and pulled away to secure his spot in the feature. "That was the year we kind of bounced around just having fun," Roa said of the 2022 campaign. "Experimenting with all the wing stuff and trying something new. I think there were like two cars that missed the main event. It was exciting, and I passed Noah Gas. We passed him for the last transfer. It was a tough race. It had him, Tanner Thorson, and I think Logan Schuchart was in the race. It was like a 7-car B main." Starting 24th in the main event, Roa passed several cars before disaster struck on lap 21 when a car got out of shape in front of him. With nowhere to go, Roa made contact, damaging the wings and flattening the left front tire. Per Outlaw rules, there is no extra time in the work area after lap 20, and with too much damage to repair in time, his night ended with a 24th-place finish. "Honestly, not much," Roa laughed when asked what his expectations were racing against the Outlaws. "We ran the two nights with Outlaws, and we ran a couple of nights at Hanford with NARC, I think. It was like let's show up and try something new with no expectations and have fun again. It was a little refresher from what we had always done, and it was a lot of fun trying something new and experimenting. It was doing some stuff that was outside of our comfort zone." That would turn out to be the Garden Grove, California driver's most recent winged race. A planned NARC start at Hanford in April of 2022 was canceled when dangerous winds forced the promoter to call off the show. Just like in 2022, Roa is racing mainly for fun this season, focusing on Perris but leaving the door open to future winged opportunities should the right ride come along. "At this point, I just like driving Sprint cars," Roa Stated. "You know non-wing stuff is my history and my passion. That wing stuff was super fun, and I would do it again. I don't think I was terrible in the wing car. I thought I was pretty comfortable. Just needed some experience." "I'm having fun taking this thing out to Perris every month," he assured. "Me, my dad, my uncle, family, and Joe (Joe Gibb). He's (Gibb) going to miss this weekend, and my dad is having a procedure tomorrow. He's not going to be able to help on Saturday, but he is going to be there to watch over things and see how it goes." "I've reached out to a half dozen people that I know who I would like to come out and help, and they're not available," Roa lamented. "So, if anybody wants the experience of working on a non-wing sprint car, we need a couple of hands on Saturday. We will be there either way. Tailor (his wife) and I have made plans, and we are going to take the car out. We are bringing our girls out (young daughters Addison and Rylee). It will be a family event." Fans can see Roa and all of the other stars in action this Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., with racing at 7:00. Advance tickets are available now at worldofoutlaws.com, and walk-up tickets will also be available at the track ticket window. Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in the city of Perris. For more information, please visit perrisautospeedway.com or call (951) 940-0134. - Eddie Tafoya Jr. Ready for Perris' Biggest Sprint Car Night of 2025
Chino Hills, CA — September 7, 2025 — After a weekend off following three straight nights of racing in Northern California, Eddie Tafoya Jr. returns to action this Saturday, September 13th, when Perris Auto Speedway hosts its biggest sprint car program of the season. Tafoya will pilot his familiar #51T in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series that sharing the spotlight with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars in a rare and exciting open-wheel doubleheader. The 27-year-old Chino Hills, California racer comes into the event with momentum, fresh off his best finish of 2025 — a fourth-place run in the Ultimate Sprint Car Series at Petaluma Speedway on Labor Day. In just his second career start with the USCS, and his first appearance at Petaluma since 2019, Tafoya charged forward from seventh on the grid to secure the top-five result on the tight 3/8-mile oval. Earlier that evening, Tafoya was third-fastest in his qualifying group, seventh overall of the 20 cars on hand and recorded a third-place finish in his 10-lap heat race. "The night went well," Tafoya said of Petaluma. "The track changes a lot. You kind of start tightening up the car and then go back to where you started for the main event. Just had to make sure the car was drivable after the two previous nights." The strong Petaluma outing came on the heels of Tafoya's participation in the historic reopening of Calistoga Speedway over Labor Day weekend. Racing returned to the iconic half-mile for the first time in six years in front of sellout crowds. On night one, Tafoya timed in eighth-fastest among 34 cars, finished fifth in his heat, and transferred through the B-main before ending the A-main in 16th. Night two saw him post the 18th-quickest qualifying lap, grab a second in his heat, and lock into the feature, where he placed 18th. "I was pretty excited to go back there," Tafoya said of his return to the big half mile. " I am always happy to go to big fast racetracks. Unfortunately, the results didn't necessarily pan out how we wanted but we still had fun up there. The first night I had a good starting spot in eighth. I just think I was way to tight. I was trying to compensate on how slick the dirt was getting but then it ended up getting rough so I was kind of caught in a sticky situation. I was just stuck." "The second night, it felt a lot better in the heat race and I almost won it," Tafoya continued. " In the main, we had a right rear shock let go. So I was all over the place and on the verge of being out of control, so I brought it in early." Tafoya, the 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year, will now look to build on that experience as he tackles one of the biggest stages of the season at Perris Auto Speedway. "I really do not think about it once I am inside the racecar," Tafoya said when asked about racing in front of big crowds. "It is definitely cool to see afterwards when the people come down and appreciate the things we do. We are definitely small compared to a lot of other motorsports so its nice to have some recognition." Event Info: Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025 Location: Perris Auto Speedway, 18700 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, CA Tickets: Advance tickets available at worldofoutlaws.com. Plenty of walk-up tickets will also be available. Track Info: perrisautospeedway.com | 951-940-0134 Tafoya can be followed on Instagram at @eddietafoya51. - Eddie Tafoya Jr. Heads North for Labor Day Weekend Tripleheader
Chino Hills, CA — August 28, 2025 — For the first time since 2021, Chino Hills, California, sprint car racer Eddie Tafoya Jr. is heading to Northern California for three big races over Labor Day weekend. The now-veteran driver will kick things off this Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st, competing in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series 14th Annual Louie Vermeil Classic at the legendary Calistoga Speedway. On Labor Day Monday, he'll make the short trip to Petaluma Speedway to battle with the Ultimate Sprint Car Series. The weekend at Calistoga is one of the most highly anticipated events on the West Coast in 2025. Shuttered since 2019, the picturesque half-mile clay oval seemed doomed until the city purchased the fairgrounds property, bringing racing back to the historic venue. For 28-year-old Tafoya, it will be just his second trip to Calistoga. The last time he raced there came on September 1, 2019 — the track's final event before the shutdown — during the season he earned USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year honors. That night he qualified 16th in a 24-car field, started 16th, and finished 15th in the main event. His most recent outing at Petaluma Speedway came in 2021, when he placed 11th in the USAC/CRA main event on the tight 3/8-mile clay oval after returning from a summer racing stint in Indiana. Tafoya heads north after an impressive performance two weeks ago at Perris Auto Speedway. A violent qualifying crash left his car badly damaged, but he and his crew went to work immediately, thrashing in the pits to get the #51T ready for his heat race. Forced to start at the rear of both his heat and the 30-lap main due to not recording a qualifying time, Tafoya charged forward spectacularly. After starting eighth in his eight-lap heat race, he advanced to fourth in the heat. In the main, he started 24th, steered his car impressively through the pack, and avoided the on-track chaos. All told, he passed 16 cars in the feature to finish 8th and capture the In Memory of Jim and Chet Gardner Hard Charger Award. Fans unable to make the trip to Northern California can catch both nights of the Louie Vermeil Classic live on Flo Racing, with coverage beginning at 5:00 p.m. PDT. Tafoya can be followed on Instagram at @eddietafoya51. The Tafoya Racing team would like to thank Specialty Fasteners, BR Motorsports, King Racing Products, Gasper Transportation, CMI Precision Machining, Owen's Insurance Services, Keen Concrete, DRC Chassis, and Rider Racing Engines for their continued support of the 2025 season. Heading into the night, Yucaipa's Chuck Becker and Riverside's Shaun Estes hold comfortable leads in their respective divisions—Becker in Super Stocks and Estes in Street Stocks. If Becker stays on top through the end of the season, he will earn his fifth PAS champion's jacket. Estes, meanwhile, is chasing his second title, some 13 years after claiming his first Street Stock crown. 520288057_31238809739043250_8559913822945741315_n.jpg Chuck Becker currently leads the PASSCAR Super Stock standings. Kenny Lonngren photo. Both drivers have reached their lofty positions with consistent performances. In the first three Street Stock main events of 2025, Estes has gone a perfect three-for-three. Becker, though winless this year, has finished second in all three Super Stock races. The third-generation driver hopes to finally break that streak with a victory on Saturday night. Adding to Estes' dominance, he has also won all three of his heat races in 2025, making him undefeated in every competitive outing so far. He enters Saturday with a 15-point lead over Rancho Palos Verdes driver George Leventis, son of two-time class champion Chris Leventis. George has recorded a second and a third-place finish this season. Sitting just three points behind him is two-time champion Brandon "Elk Man" Kelly of Moreno Valley. Evan Sennett (Riverside by way of Ohio) and Chad Mahony of Yorba Linda complete the top five in the standings. The Super Stock standings tell a different story—none of the top five drivers have won a feature in 2025. The victories so far belong to Tyson Talkington of Riverside (2022 champion), Tony Kinkade Jr. of Pahrump, Nevada, and Billy Griffin of Buena Park, who tied Becker for the title last year. Those three drivers currently sit sixth, seventh, and eighth in points. Becker holds an 11-point advantage over second-place Ricky Lee of Banning, the 2023 champion. Billy Simkins of Bakersfield is third, with returning veteran Rick Arringdale of Victorville—PAS champion in 1999 and 2001—sitting fourth. Steven Welch of Cherry Valley rounds out the top five. - After Two Months Off, Brody Roa Is Itching To Get Back In His Racecar Saturday At Perris
Cypress, CA - August 14, 2025 — Fifty-six days may not sound like a long time, but for 2023 USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series champion Brody Roa, it's felt like an eternity. That stretch without strapping into his sprint car ends this Saturday night when his bright green #91R rolls into the pit area at Perris Auto Speedway for battle in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Series. Roa, who calls Garden Grove, California home, last competed at Perris on June 21. That night, the 15-year sprint car veteran was having his best outing of the season. He qualified fourth fastest of the 20-car field, advanced from fifth to fourth in his heat race, and earned the third starting spot for the main event on the famous half-mile clay oval. In the feature, the 34-year-old wasted no time charging to the front, stealing the lead coming off turn two on lap three. But moments later, a slide through turn four got a little too sideways, slowing his momentum. Another car had nowhere to go and made contact, ending Roa's night early. That charge to the lead — with the car handling better than it had all year — only made him hungrier to get back behind the wheel. "I am excited," Roa enthused on Thursday evening. "Not racing a ton this year and then taking two months off in the middle of the season. I have got the itch to go again. I have tinkered on the car a little bit over the last two months. I actually put it on the ground today and took some measurements. We are all ready to go. I think that kind of showed that by the end of the night, we were pretty good." The second-generation driver took the July race at Perris off as it was on the same day as his daughter Rylee's second birthday party. Even though he has not been in the car for nearly two months, Roa does not think there will be any issues getting back into the swing of things on Saturday. "Getting in the right mindset is not too difficult for me," he replied when asked if he is racer ready. "It takes a few laps, probably hot laps and qualifying to get things felt out again and get in a rhythm. As far as mindset goes, I have been doing it long enough that I can turn that mode on once we get to the racetrack." Roa is still looking for a ride or someone who has an engine to team up with for the upcoming USAC/CRA races at the grand reopening of the famous Calistoga Speedway on Labor Day weekend. "Nothing yet," Roa answered when asked if he had put anything together. "I have had a couple of conversations. Even if we found an engine and put it in our stuff, obviously, that is a lot of money for our team to go up and do it. I have got a little backing to do it. Just nothing with the right engine or right car to go and really make it worth it has come through yet. I am still open to something that might pop up. If it is the right opportunity, not just for me, but for the car owner or engine owner to do it, I will. As of right now, I am going to be watching on Flo." Fans eager to see Roa and the rest of the USAC/CRA stars in action can head to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday. Spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00. Tickets are $35.00 for ages 13 and up, $30.00 for seniors 65 and over, $10.00 for kids 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. The fairgrounds charge $20.00 for parking. Advance tickets are available at tix.com, and walk-up tickets will be sold on race night. For more information, visit www.perrisautospeedway.com or call (951) 940-0134. - Visiting Drivers Join USAC/CRA Regulars at Perris Auto Speedway Saturday
Perris, California — August 13, 2025 — When Heimark Distributors/Anheuser Busch presents the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars at Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday night, August 16th, the series regulars will have company. Five series non-regulars — Max Adams, Marty Hawkins, Heath Holdsclaw, Chris Gansen, and Brody Roa — will take on the fastest traditional sprint cars west of the Mississippi. Also on the card are the PASSCAR Super and Street Stocks. Adams, a Loomis, California native now based in Indiana, will pilot a Dwight Cheney-owned car. The 2016 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year and 2020 Gas City Speedway champion owns four career USAC/CRA wins. He posted single wins in 2017 and 2018 at the Santa Maria Speedway. His last series triumphs came four years ago when he scored wins two weeks apart at Kern and the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare. Hawkins, from Santa Rosa, which is about an hour north of San Francisco, returns to The PAS for the first time in over a decade. While he is from Northern California, he is no stranger to the area, as he attended college in Azusa. The likable driver has one win with USAC/CRA. That came at the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville in 2013. He'll be driving for Cheney and Hawkins Motorsports on Saturday. Holdsclaw makes the long trip from Meadow Vista, located between San Francisco and Reno, for his second PAS start of the year. On his first trip to the Riverside County half-mile clay oval in July, he qualified 17th and placed eighth in his heat. He wrapped up the night by steering his dad, Tony's sharp #33 Maxim Chassis/Don Ott Engine from 16th to 13th in the 30-lap main event. Veteran Gansen will make his 2025 season debut on Saturday. A past series regular, the Verdemont Heights driver has been focusing on his 10-year-old son Landon's quarter midget career for the past two years. The longtime USAC/CRA competitor's family has deep roots at the track, competing in lightning sprints, midgets, sprint cars, and now quarter midgets at the track located just behind the PAS main grandstands. While Roa, the 2023 USAC/CRA champion, is considered a track regular, he missed the last PAS race as it fell on the same day as his daughter Rylee's second birthday party. Earlier this season, he posted finishes of 6th, 7th, 8th, and 21st. The latter came on June 21st. After steering his bright green #91R into the lead, the 34-year-old was knocked out of the race after contact with another car. They'll all face stiff competition from PAS regulars, including point leader Ricky Lewis, defending champ RJ Johnson, "The Big Game Hunter" Austin Williams, A.J. Bender, David Gasper, July PAS winner Tommy "Thunder" Malcolm, Matt Mitchell, and more. Tickets: Adults (13+) $35, Kids (6-12) $10, Children 5 & under free. Fairgrounds parking $20. Advance Tickets: tix.com/ticket-sales/pas/7 — Walk-up sales available at the gate. The famous track is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in the City of Perris. - Brody Roa Looking Forward to Calistoga Doubleheader on Labor Day Weekend
Cypress, CA - August 7, 2025 — 2023 USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series champion Brody Roa is eager to be part of the long-awaited return of the Louie Vermeil Classic at the historic Calistoga Speedway on August 30th and 31st. The 14th running of the prestigious event will mark the grand re-opening of the iconic track, which has been dormant since 2019. Roa, one of the most respected and consistent drivers on the West Coast, is currently seeking someone with a 410 engine to install in his own chassis or is open to driving someone else's competitive ride for the weekend doubleheader. Opened in 1937, Calistoga Speedway is one of the most picturesque and fastest half-mile dirt ovals in the country. Like many drivers, Roa has been anxiously waiting for its return. His recent results at the track back up his enthusiasm: from 2017 to 2019, Roa started all six USAC/CRA main events held at Calistoga, recording five top-10 finishes, including two top-fives. "It's a pretty historic track," Roa said. "In the years I've been racing, it's definitely my favorite track in California. It's big, fast, and wide—it puts on great racing. It's the fastest track I've raced on in the state." So far in 2025, Roa, who lives in Garden Grove, California, has primarily focused on the USAC/CRA Series, collecting five top-10 finishes in seven starts using a Dash 12 engine. While that powerplant works well on smaller tracks, Roa is looking for more horsepower to tackle Calistoga's demanding high-speed layout. "I'm open to either option," Roa explained. "We could bring our car up with a stronger engine, or I'd be happy to jump into a competitive ride. Calistoga is back, and I don't want to miss it. If someone has a ride open—or a 410 they'd like to drop into my car and put their name on the hood—I'm ready." Beyond the racing, Roa and his wife, Tailor, have always enjoyed the trip to Calistoga, located in Northern California's scenic wine country. This year's event will be extra special, as it will mark the first visit for daughters Addison and Rylee. "Tailor and I always loved going up there—not just for the racing but for everything the area has to offer," Roa shared. "The last time we went was in 2019 before the girls were born. So, this will be a fun family adventure having them along with us." Interested in teaming up with Brody Roa for Calistoga? Contact him directly at 714-932-7994 or via email at brodyroa91@gmail.com. - Eddie Tafoya Jr. Set to Return to Action at Perris, Calistoga, and Placerville
Chino Hills, CA — August 4, 2025 — After a brief summer break, Eddie Tafoya Jr. is ready to get back behind the wheel when the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series returns to Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday, August 16th. The race marks the beginning of a busy late-summer schedule for the driver of the Specialty Fasteners #51T. Following the Perris event, Tafoya and the team will head north for one of the most anticipated weekends in recent sprint car history — the grand re-opening of the legendary Calistoga Speedway on August 30th and 31st. The doubleheader promises to be a major highlight on the USAC/CRA calendar. Then, on September 1st, Tafoya will cap off the Labor Day holiday weekend by competing with the Ultimate Sprint Car Series at Placerville Speedway. Prior to the break, Tafoya raced at his home track, Perris Auto Speedway, on July 19th — just 10 days after celebrating his 28th birthday. Though the final result wasn't what he'd hoped for, the Southern California veteran showed speed and poise throughout the night. He qualified a strong seventh fastest out of 21 cars with a lap of 16.875. In his heat race, the 2018 PAS Young Gun Champion and 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year started and finished fourth in a stacked field. That set him up in the seventh position for the 30-lap main event. In front of the second-largest crowd of the season, Tafoya jumped into a fierce battle for fifth place early in the main. Showing the speed to challenge for a top-four spot, his momentum was unfortunately stalled by lapped traffic. After clearing a slower car, Tafoya's night took an unfortunate turn when he came to a stop in turn one, ending his charge. Despite the setback, Tafoya's performance showed his car and confidence are in the right place heading into the late-season stretch. "I just have to eliminate the mistakes and figure how to get around traffic when it gets slick like that," Tafoya said. "I was dealing with traffic and switching lines every lap. The lapper would go to where I switched to. I was just kind of going back and forth. I finally got a good run down the front straight. I just held it on a little longer than I should have just to get around the lapper. Then I got in the slick and locked up the brakes and slid to a stop." Forced to restart at the back of the field with only limited laps remaining, the odds were stacked against him. But Tafoya wasn't done. He mounted a determined comeback, charging through the field and clawing his way back to a 10th-place finish at the checkered flag — a clear indicator of the team's pace and persistence. "I thought for a second there we were going to start on the front row again (after qualifying), but we missed it by .01," Tafoya commented about the night of racing. "That definitely could have changed the way that main event went for us." "I am happy with the speed, and I think I have been driving good," he continued. "I just have to focus and put it all together on the same night. I have been trying to put myself in a good position and we have been doing that lately. Part of it is mental and part is car set up and stuff like that. Knowing that you have enough to be up there, we have definitely been showing that lately." Fans can follow Tafoya on Instagram eddietafoya51. Tafoya and the #51T team would like to thank Specialty Fasteners, BR Motorsports, King Racing Products, Gasper Transportation, CMI Precision Machining, Owen's Insurance Services, Keen Concrete, DRC Chassis, and Rider Racing Engines for supporting their 2025 racing endeavors. - Eddie Tafoya Jr. Looks for First 2025 Win at Perris Auto Speedway This Saturday
Chino, CA - July 17, 2025 — Coming off his best Perris Auto Speedway finish of the 2025 season, a fifth-place result on June 21st, Eddie Tafoya Jr. will return to the Riverside County half-mile clay oval this Saturday night, July 19th. Spectator gates at the 29-year old speed plant will open at 5:00 p.m. and the first race will be at 7:00. For Tafoya, who recently celebrated his 28th birthday, it will be his fifth start of 2025 at Perris. In the first four races at the track this year, he has achieved three top-10 finishes. Besides his fifth-place showing last month, he came home eighth at the track on April 5th and was ninth in the annual Salute to Indy at the end of May. His fifth-place run last month equaled his performance at Arizona's Mohave Valley Raceway on February 22nd. The only race at Perris this year that he did not finish in the top 10 occurred on March 1st, when his belts came loose in the car, and he finished 13th. Before the 30-lap main event last month, Tafoya qualified sixth fastest in the 20 car field. He then placed fourth in his 10-lap heat race. The Chino Hills, California resident started on the pole and led the first seven laps of the main event. He ended up taking fifth after a tough battle for positions five through 10 late in the race. On Saturday, Tafoya, the 2018 Perris Auto Speedway Young Guns Sprint Car Champion and the 2019 USAC/CRA Rookie of the Year, will only be making his third July appearance at the local track since the end of Covid. In 2021, he finished third in the July race on the oval affectionately known as The PAS, and last year he was seventh. In 2022 and 2023, he spent July racing with the USAC National Sprint Car Series in the Midwest. To see Tafoya and the rest of the USAC/CRA stars in action on Saturday, spectator gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the first green flag will wave at 7:00. - PASSCAR Super Stocks and Factory Stocks Join USAC/CRA Sprint Cars This Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway
Perris, California — July 14, 2025 — Fans attending this Saturday's high-octane event at Perris Auto Speedway will get more than just the thunder of the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Joining the program on July 19th will be the track's fastest full-bodied stock car class—the PASSCAR Super Stocks—and the ever-competitive American Factory Stocks. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 p.m., with racing set to begin when starter Steve Russell waves the green flag at 7:00. Due to weather-related cancellations earlier in the season, Saturday's show will mark only the third appearance of the year for the Super Stocks and the fourth for the Factory Stocks. In Super Stock action, Riverside's Tyson Talkington and Pahrump, Nevada's Tony Kinkade Jr. won the first two races of the year. Despite those victories, neither driver currently leads the championship points standings. That honor belongs to Chuck Becker of Yucaipa, a four-time PAS champion, who has finished second in both main events so far. Becker enters the weekend holding a narrow eight-point lead over a tight trio for second place: 2022 champion Talkington, Billy Simkins of Bakersfield, and 2023 champ Ricky Lee of Banning, who are all tied. Kincade Jr. trails closely behind in fifth—just one point back from the three-way tie. Last season saw a dramatic Super Stock championship finish, with Becker and Buena Park's Billy Griffin tying for the title. Griffin missed this year's opener waiting for an engine and suffered mechanical woes in round two while running with the lead pack. He enters Saturday's race 10th in points, 32 behind Becker. In the Factory Stock class, two-time champion David Stites has dominated the 2025 season so far. The daytime realtor and nighttime racer has swept all three main events and picked up one heat race win along the way. In six starts, Stites has scored an astonishing 67 out of a possible 69 points. James Keller of Crestline sits second in points. The hardworking truck driver has compiled finishes of second, third, and fourth in main events this year and won two heat races. He trails Stites by just eight points. Cameron Bro and Andrew Schmitz, both from Ramona, sit third and fourth in the standings, while 2023 champion Kris Carnish of Menifee, runner-up to Stites at the last race, is fifth. - After Best USAC/CRA Finish of the Year at Santa Maria, Jeff Dyer Takes on Perris Auto Speedway This Saturday
Yucca Valley, CA - July 16, 2025 — After enduring a challenging start to the season in the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series, Jeff Dyer finally found some momentum two weeks ago at Santa Maria Speedway, finishing 11th in the 30-lap main event. That marked his best result of the year in the ultra-competitive 410 non-wing sprint car series. Now, the Yucca Valley-based racer hopes to improve on that finish when the series returns to its home track—Perris Auto Speedway—this Saturday night, July 21st. At Santa Maria, Dyer qualified 14th and placed fifth in his 10-lap heat race. Starting 13th in the feature, the California Highway Patrol Officer saw a spin deprive him of his first top-ten of the season. While the 410 effort ended on a high note, mechanical gremlins hampered Dyer's effort in the California Lightning Sprint Car Series that night. After qualifying fourth fastest and finishing fifth in the first heat, he lost an oil cap during the second heat race, which led to oil loss. The result was a spun bearing that ended his night prematurely. Dyer's young teammate, 16-year-old rookie Drake Cardey of Riverside, also had a rollercoaster evening. Making his debut on Santa Maria's 1/3-mile clay oval, Cardey impressed right out of the gate, qualifying second fastest. He followed that up with a third-place result in his first heat and a win in his second heat. Starting on the pole for the Lightning Sprint main, Cardey led the first 15 laps and appeared to be on his way to a breakout win. However, disaster struck entering turn three on lap 16 when his car belched smoke and coasted to a stop—another victim of engine failure. He was credited with a seventh-place finish. Following that event, Cardey headed east for a four-race Midwest tour in a 600cc non-wing micro sprint prepared by the legendary Keith Kunz Motorsports. Despite never having driven a micro before, Cardey made the A-Main all four nights against stacked national fields—winning a heat race, a B-Main, and showing remarkable speed and racecraft. Night 1: 5th place at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (MO) Night 2: From 15th to 6th at Mitchell County Fairgrounds (KS) Night 3: 7th place at Jefferson County Speedway (NE) Night 4: Charged from 13th to 4th before hitting an infield tire and breaking the steering, resulting in a 21st-place finish Despite the final night's misfortune, Cardey left a strong impression on fans and industry insiders watching via Flo Racing with his aggressive, fearless driving style.
