- Arenz tallies 2025 victory No. 3 at 141
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 17, 2025 - Although it may not be his home track, 141 Speedway is the next best thing for Travis Arenz. After earning the signature win of his racing career on June 5 with the Kubota High Limit Racing Series, Arenz backed it up with his first career Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series A-main triumph at the unique third-mile semi-banked egg-shaped clay oval in Francis Creek, Wis., on Saturday, Sept. 13. The Sheboygan Falls, Wis. competitor opened the night by qualifying 10th in the 25-car field with a lap of 11.232 seconds. After winning the first eight-lap heat race, Arenz won the first four-lap dash to claim the pole of the 30-lap main event. The 2021 and 2022 Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing champion fell to second on the opening lap and trailed race leader Danny Schlafer until using a low move to seize the top spot on lap 17. Arenz, who claimed the 2016 Northern Sport Mod title at 141 Speedway, would not be denied the rest of the way en route to his second IRA A-main victory of the 2025 season, third overall main event triumph of the current campaign, third career IRA A-main win, and 74th overall A-main victory in 17 seasons of competition. He opened the doubleheader weekend by qualifying 12th in the 29-car field at Wilmot Raceway on Friday, Sept. 12. After finishing third in the third heat race, Arenz advanced from the 11th starting spot to claim a fourth place showing in the 30-lap main event. "I ran our backup car this weekend," Arenz said. "This car tends to react to changes differently than my other chassis do, so we made what he had work. The car was not very good at Wilmot early in the night. However, it got better, and we had a respectable fourth place finish. We weren't as competitive as we should have been, but I knew finishing was important. "At 141, the car was decent in the heat race and dash, but again I had to make it work," he said. "The car was much better in the feature. After making a few adjustments, I was able to move around the track as I needed to earn another victory at 141." Arenz and the members of the Travis Arenz Motorsports Team are set to enter the 47th annual Jackson Nationals at the four-tenths-mile semi-banked Jackson Motorplex dirt oval in Jackson, Minn., on Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20. The 410 Sprint Car portion of the event is co-sanctioned by the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association, Northern Outlaw Sprint Association, and Midwest Sprint Touring Series. RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars are also on the card both nights. Racing program on Friday, Sept. 19 features the Tweeter Memorial presented by Joel Pingeon Trucking for $5,000 to win and $500 to start. The Bank Midwest Jackson Nationals presented by Wyffels Hybrids will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, for $12,000 to win and $1,200 to start. Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. both nights. All 2025 IRA events are streamed live on floracing.com. - Arenz aims to regroup with IRA doubleheader
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 10, 2025 - What was shaping up to be a promising weekend at one of the most prestigious events on the 2025 Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series schedule, ended in early disappointment for Travis Arenz and the members of the Travis Arenz Motorsports team during night one of the 25th annual Jerry Richert Memorial at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis. on Friday, Sept. 5. The Sheboygan Falls, Wis. racer opened the night by qualifying 41st in the stellar 46-car field. He advanced to sixth from the 10th starting spot in the fourth 8-lap IRA heat race. After starting fourth in B main 2, Arenz moved up to third to gain a starting spot in the 30-lap main event. The 2021 and 2022 Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car champion started 22nd and was running 18th when he hit the turn two wall and flipped on lap 18, which knocked him out of the race. He was scored 22nd. Extensive damage to the car forced Arenz to withdraw from Saturday night's racing program. "There isn't really anything to say about Cedar Lake," Arenz said. "We'll be back this weekend at Wilmot and 141." The team is now slated to compete in a doubleheader IRA weekend starting Friday, Sept. 12, at Wilmot Raceway, Wis., as part of the Wilmot Fall Festival, which will also feature the Winged Crate Sprints, Street Stocks, A Modified, and Bandits. Hot laps are scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m. with racing at 6:45 p.m. On Sunday, Sept. 13, the team is scheduled to enter an IRA event at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis. Legends and IMCA Sport Mods are also on the card. Racing is set to begin at 6 p.m. All 2025 IRA events are streamed live on floracing.com. - Runner-up, top 10s highlight IRA tripleheader for Arenz
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 3, 2025 - In one of the toughest stretches of the 2025 Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series schedule, Travis Arenz and the members of the Travis Arenz Motorsports team came away with three solid top-10 showings, including a podium effort in a Labor Day Weekend tripleheader at The Plymouth Dirt Track, Beaver Dam Raceway and The Hill in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Friday, Aug. 29 through Sunday, Aug. 31. The Sheboygan Falls, Wis. resident kicked off the three-race weekend by qualifying 10th in the 28-car field at The Plymouth Dirt Track during the Sheboygan County Fair on Friday, Aug. 29. Arenz went on to win the first heat race before placing second in the first IRA dash to claim the third starting spot in the 30-lap main event. The 18th-year competitor raced in the second and third positions throughout the hard-fought main event before coming home with a strong second place showing. One night later, the team entered the Harry Neitzel Tribute-Jim Wipperfurth Memorial event at Beaver Dam Raceway on Saturday, Aug. 30, in a race that was billed as the final Sprint Car race at the facility, which is for sale. The 2021 and 2022 Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car champion opened the night by qualifying 22nd in the 34-car field. After placing fifth in the second heat race, Arenz rolled off from the 18th starting position in the 30-lap A main. Arenz marched through the field to gain 10 positions on the way to an eighth place showing. With 22 cars on hand at The Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., on Sunday, Aug. 31, Arenz turned in the second fastest qualifying lap before placing second in the second heat race and third in the second IRA dash. Arenz started sixth in the A main before a caution flew on the opening lap for a spin involving another car. After the caution was called, Arenz spun in turn three as he attempted to slow down his machine. However, he was sent to the rear of the field for being part of the caution flag. Racing from the rear of the field in the 21st spot, Arenz charged his way up through the field to break into the top 10 on lap 19. Five caution flags over the final 22 laps played to Arenz's benefit as he moved up to post a seventh place showing. "I wouldn't consider it a super great weekend, but definitely decent," Arenz said. "On a positive note, we were able to put a new car together for this weekend, and everything is in one piece. I wish we could have finished farther forward on Saturday and Sunday. We had a top-three car on Sunday in Sturgeon Bay, but when the yellow flew for another car, I lifted off the throttle coming into turn 3 in the slick. Unfortunately, the spin sent me to the tail on the first lap. However, we ended up finishing a solid seventh after coming back from 21st." The team is now scheduled to compete in the 25th annual two-night Jerry Richert Memorial event at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., this Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6. Limited Sprints and UMSS Traditional Sprints are scheduled to round out the card on both nights, with racing slated to start at 6 p.m. All 2025 IRA events are streamed live on floracing.com. - Hartmann aims to turn luck at IRA Richert Memorial
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 3, 2025 - An overall lack of good luck, which has hounded Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing Team throughout the 2025 season, was again on display in a pair of Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series events at The Plymouth Dirt Track and Beaver Dam Raceway last weekend. The Labor Day weekend of IRA action opened during the Sheboygan County Fair at The Plymouth Dirt Track on Friday, Aug. 29, with Hartmann logging in the 12th fastest qualifying time in the 28-car field. The fifth-year Sprint Car competitor went on to place third in the third heat race to earn the 12th starting spot in the 30-lap main event. Hartmann was running 11th on lap 9 when another competitor moved up the track and forced the Plymouth, Wis. driver into the outside wall between turns three and four, producing a bent right rear wheel. After heading to the work area, Austin reported an engine issue, which ended the team's night with a 23rd place showing. Later, Austin and the team discovered a lost cylinder number 8 spark plug in the engine compartment. One night later, the team headed to Beaver Dam Raceway for the Harry Neitzel Tribute-Jim Wipperfurth Memorial event on what was described as the final Sprint Car race to ever be held at the facility, which is for sale. The night got off to a strong start for Hartmann as he qualified sixth out of the 34 cars signed in before placing fourth in the second heat race to qualify for his fourth dash of the 2025 IRA season. A fifth place showing in the second four-lap dash put Hartmann in the 10th starting spot for the 30-lap A main. Again, poor luck struck in a big way on lap 4 when, while racing for sixth, another driver steered left into Hartmann along the front straightaway. The contact sent Hartmann on a series of flips. While he was able to emerge from the hard wreck uninjured, the heavy impact destroyed his 87A machine. Hartmann ended up 22nd in the final race results. The incident caused the team to miss the final event of the three-race IRA weekend on Sunday, Aug. 31, at The Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. "It was another bad couple of nights running with the IRA and having drivers make contact with our car," Hartmann said. "We will get everything put together and be at Cedar Lake this weekend." The team is scheduled to compete in the 25th annual two-night Jerry Richert Memorial event at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., this Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6. Limited Sprints and UMSS Traditional Sprints are scheduled to round out the card on both nights, with racing slated to start at 6 p.m. All IRA events the 87A Hartmann Racing Team enters during the 2025 season will be streamed live on floracing.com. 87A Hartmann Racing 2025 sponsorship partners include Kristine Hartmann Pleasantview Realty, Shufflebotham Tree Service, The Dispensary, Metalcraft, Ludwig & Sons Trucking, Quasius Construction, Holler n' Hills, Rich's Truck & Auto Repair, Gibbsville Cheese, Hepfner Racing Products and Berryman Racing Shocks. - Arenz takes first run at LaSalle, ramps up for three-race IRA weekend
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 27, 2025 - After competing in just three Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series races over the span of the past seven weeks, Travis Arenz and his crew got back on track with their first appearance at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Ill., on Saturday, Aug. 23. Arenz opened the night by qualifying 18th overall in the 36-car field with a lap of 11.660 seconds. After placing sixth in the second IRA heat race, the 2020 and 2021 Midwest Sprint Car Association and Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car champion rolled off third and advanced one spot to place second in the 12-lap B main and move on to the evening's main event. The Sheboygan Falls, Wis. driver started 21st in the 30-lap main event and worked his way up to as high as 12th before tallying a 20th place showing. "LaSalle is a cool facility," Arenz said. "I have never raced there before, so I'm glad we got to experience it, but the night's results were less than favorable. I made contact with the wall after losing tack coming out of the turn during the closing laps of the feature, which resulted in making contact with another driver. It was a driving error on my part. I always want to race clean and respectfully. With the wreck this past weekend, there is a lot of work to prepare for this weekend. We will get everything back together and be ready. I hope to turn good clean laps all weekend. I'm also hoping to get a little redemption at Beaver Dam while we still can!" The Travis Arenz Motorsports Team is set to enter a big tripleheader weekend of IRA action starting at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis., for the annual Sheboygan County Fair race on Friday, Aug. 29. Spectator gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m. The weekend closes with an appearance at The Hill Raceway in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., with the IRA 410 Sprint Car Series. - Hartmann preps for IRA Labor Day weekend tripleheader
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 27, 2025 - After 23 days out of the driver's seat, Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing Team got back at it last week with the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws and Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association. On Tuesday, Aug. 19, Hartmann and crew traveled to far western Wisconsin to take on the World of Outlaws 410 Sprint Car Series at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis. The fifth-year Sprint Car competitor qualified 23rd in the 27-car field with a lap of 12.045 around the lightning-fast, third-mile high-banked clay oval. After placing seventh in the second heat race, the Plymouth, Wis. driver advanced to the 30-lap A-main with a second place showing in the Last Chance Showdown. Hartmann held strong in the main event to post a 21st place showing. The team made its first-ever visit to the LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Ill., with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association on Saturday, Aug. 23. The 2020 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year Award recipient qualified 19th overall in the 36-car field with a lap of 11.679 seconds on the quarter-mile high-banked dirt oval. He then placed sixth in the first IRA heat race before starting fifth in the B Main. Hartmann was running seventh, needing to place in the top four to advance to the main event, when an incident on lap 8 ended his evening early. He was credited with a 10th place showing. "It was another IRA show where the results weren't what we wanted," Hartmann said. "I didn't have a very good night behind the wheel. We're looking forward to getting things straight for the three-race weekend coming up." 87A Hartmann Racing Team is preparing for a big tripleheader weekend of IRA action starting at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis., for the annual Sheboygan County Fair race on Friday, Aug. 29. - After eventful double dip, Pokorski eyes IRA tripleheader
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) August 26, 2025 - Following a month away from competition, a weekend of 360 and 410 Sprint Car action offered a little bit of everything for Alex Pokorski and members of the Akright Auto Racing Team. The team opened the doubleheader weekend with a night of Akright Auto Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car action at The Plymouth Dirt Track on Friday, Aug 22. Alex began the program by registering the seventh fastest qualifying time in the 26-car field with a lap of 12.746 around the semi-banked third-mile clay oval. After starting third and placing second in the second heat race, the fifth-year Sprint Car racer rolled off from the fourth starting slot in the 25-lap headliner. The West Bend native used a strong start to vault into second on lap 4. While dueling with Scotty Thiel for the runner-up spot on lap 9, Pokorski brushed the front stretch wall, which resulted in a flat right rear tire. After retreating to the work area for a tire change, he rejoined the field, charging from 21st to secure a 12th place finish. One night later, on Saturday, Aug. 23, Pokorski and crew made their debut appearance at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Ill., for a Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series event. After qualifying 31st in the 36-car field with a lap of 12.227 seconds around the quarter-mile high-banked dirt oval, Pokorski placed seventh in the fourth heat race. Alex lined up sixth in the 12-lap B Main and was battling for the final A-main transfer spot when he clipped the front stretch wall on lap 7. The impact produced enough damage to bring the evening to a close for the No. 4 car. He was credited with a ninth place showing in the B main. "We had good speed in the 360 again," Pokorski said. "We were just unlucky to crash early in the A main. On the 410 side of things, we are still learning. I ended up driving it too hard and made some more work for us this week. We have a good start on it. I'm hoping to finish up the season strong, beginning with making the three shows this weekend." The Alex Pokorski-Akright Auto Racing Team is preparing for a big tripleheader weekend of IRA action starting at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis., for the annual Sheboygan County Fair race on Friday, Aug. 29. On-track action is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. One night later, Pokorski joins the IRA for the Harry Neitzel Tribute and Jim Wipperfurth Memorial in what is being billed as the final Sprint Car race ever to be held at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis., on Saturday, Aug. 30. - Fast start falls short for Arenz at Road Challenge, IRA road trip on tap
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) June 25, 2025 - Still riding the wave of his remarkable upset victory in a High Limit Racing national tour series event at 141 Speedway on June 5, it was a matter of so close, yet so far away in the Road America Challenge Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car event at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. on Saturday, June 21. The 18th-year racer enjoyed a great start to the night by qualifying a stout fourth in the 25-car field with a lap of 12.050 seconds around the third-mile semi-banked red clay oval. After finishing second in the first eight-lap IRA heat race, Arenz advanced to his seventh IRA dash appearance in eight tries in 2025. After making a huge outside move on the opening lap of the first four-lap dash, Arenz advanced from fifth to second to earn the fourth starting position in the 30-lap Road America Challenge main event. The 2021 and 2022 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing and Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Car champion got off to a strong start in A-main action before engaging in a battle for second with Jake Neuman. After moving past Neumann on Lap 17, the 2013 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing Outlaw Compact four-cylinder track champion tracked down leader Kelby Watt heading into the closing stages of the race. Arenz surged ahead to lead lap 24 before Watt battled back along the outside groove. On lap 25, Watt attempted to squeeze past Arenz next to the backstretch wall. However, the two drivers made contact before Watt cut down the track in turn three to seize the lead. Meanwhile, Arenz slowed to a stop on the following lap with a flat right rear tire resulting from the collision with Watt. After making a tire change in the work area, Arenz returned at the rear of the lead lap before moving up to secure a 15th-place showing at the finish line. "I was very happy to be able to put down a good lap in qualifying," Arenz said. "The heat race went well and I moved forward in the dash. Unfortunately, come feature time, there was a racing incident that caused a caution and cut down my right rear tire after taking over the lead position. We were able to get it changed and with five laps to go, and I was able to drive from the back of the field to get a few spots back." The team is preparing to head out on the road with the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association Sprint Car Series this Friday, June 27 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Ind. and Saturday, June 28 at Butler Speedway in Quincy, Mich. At Bloomington Speedway on Friday night, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Super Stocks are also on the card. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. with spectator gates opening at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. on the quarter-mile high-banked red clay oval. On Saturday night at three-eighths high-banked Butler Motor Speedway dirt oval, UMP Modifieds and Four Cylinders will also be featured with pit gates opening at 3 p.m., followed by spectator gates at 4 p.m., hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. The races will mark Arenz's first career appearance at both tracks. "I always like to take on new tracks," Arenz said. "I see it as a challenge to test my knowledge and skill. We will do what we do every night - watch the track, watch other drivers on the track, make smart choices and be smooth and consistent." - Brett is King!
Maribel, WI - Brett Swedberg put it all on the line when he made a move to the outside of Nick Anvelink as they raced into turn three as they worked through the tail end of the field with just four laps to go in the crown jewel of the 2025 WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour, The Diamond 47 at 141 Speedway. Swedberg took the lead, with Anvelink trailing by .370 seconds. Swedberg had a clear track in front of him and was able to maintain his lead and increasing his advantage over Anvelink. Swedberg went on to finish .632 seconds ahead of Anvelink, to secure his fourth WABAM Dirt Kings Late Model Tour victory in The Diamond 47. Swedberg was crowned King in BMRE Electrick Carts Victory Lane, taking home a check for $4700 and adding his name of the list of The Diamond winners. The first 43 laps of The Diamond 47 were all Anvelink, who was the Ken's Sports Pole Sitter after winning his heat race and drawing the pole for the race. Anvelink took the lead from the start while Troy Springborn and Swedberg battled for second, with Springborn challenging Anvelink for the lead on lap three, after caution slowed the field. Anvelink maintained his lead, stretching out 2.365 seconds over Springborn, who continued to battle with Swedberg and Joel Bennett for second. Caution slowed the field on lap twelve for debris, allowing Swedberg to move to second on the restart. Swedberg followed Anvelink, holding off challenges from Taylor Scheffler over the course of a couple of restarts, before finally getting a long green flag run with 18 laps to go. Anvelink maintained his advantage and with a clear track ahead of him, stretched out his lead over Swedberg and the real battle was for third with Springborn, Scheffler and Gunner Frank and great three wide racing throughout the field. With ten laps to go, Swedberg started to close in on Anvelink as they approached the tail end of the field. Anvelink preferred the inside of the track, while Swedberg ran the outside. With the tail end of the field racing for position, Anvelink and Swedberg maintained their respective lines and with four laps to go, Swedberg made his move, the Autoworx Clean Move of the Race, to win The Diamond 47. Anvelink finished second, followed by Frank, Scheffler, and Springborn. Justin Ritchie finished sixth followed by Cole Czarneski, who earned an additional $107, sponsored by Larry Mc Reds, Diamond Jim Letizia's longtime Crew Chief, Brad Mueller, Mike Mullen and Jake Redetzke.
