WHEATLAND, MO. (Sept. 15, 2026) - The 16th annual edition of the Jesse Hockett-Daniel McMillin Memorial promises to be a bigger and better version than any of the open-wheel crown jewel events to date.
This weekend's version is set for Thursday through Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway and, joining the POWRi 410 Sprints for the first time will be the Interstate Batteries High Limit Sprints. They'll be chasing. $25,000-to-win feature on Saturday after $10,000 preliminary features the first two nights.
The POWRi WAR wingless sprints also will be in action all three nights paying $2,000 to win on the prelim nights and $5,077 on Saturday for the finale.
The Hockett-McMillin Memorial recognizes the legacy of Jesse Hockett, from Warsaw, Mo., who was a star in both the winged and non-wing sprint divisions when he lost his life in a shop accident in 2010. His cousin and crew chief, Daniel McMillin, was killed in an automobile accident in 2006.
Miles Paulus (POWRi 410s) and Jack Wagner (POWRi WAR Sprints) won the four-race Road to the Hockett mini-series points titles and clinched provisionals in their respective features at the Hockett-McMillin.
Earlier this season in the High Limit's first visit to Lucas Oil Speedway, Kerry Madsen outran Sye Lynch to win the Diamond Classic for his first High Limit victory.
Rico Abreu, a former High Limit Racing winner at Lucas Oil Speedway and also the track record holder for 410 Sprints (12.829 seconds), leads the series championship race by 85 points over Aaron Reutzel. Giovanni Scelzi is third as Justin Peck and Tyler Courtney round out the top five.
Several other fun activities are scheduled throughout the three days, beginning with a post-race Flip Cup Tournament in the pits by the tech barn. Register in the pit office until 8 p.m. with entry $50 per teams of five and a 100 percent payout.
Each night will have a theme, starting with Throwback Cowboy Night on Thursday, Jackie Bobby Night on Friday and Pink Out for Daniel on Saturday. There's also a Tire Change Challenge at 4 p.m. Friday, Happy Hour in the Diamond Bar at 6 p.. and Karaoke in the Diamond Bar post-race.
Saturday also will serve Breakfast in the Campground at 8 a.m., Corn Hole Tournament in the Campground at 11 a.m., a Drivers vs. Fans Go-Kart Challenge at 4:15 p.m. and a Drivers' Meet & Greet on the Midway at 5 p.m.

Engine heat - 6 p.m.
